In my humble opinion you guys are the find of 2018 ,memorising, informative and highly addictive such a genuine passion for the love of fragrances and I love the unique content which is such a refreshing change bravo!!!!
Ah I love that you guys are musicians! I'm a musician/composer, I noticed lots of musicians have a special relationship and appreciation for fragrance. My go-to formal gigging scent would have to be Frederic Malle French Lover. Love your channel!
Bravo gents, another great vid. I’m still debating between the EDT and EDP for Habit Rouge. As a huge fan of Égoïste, I’m curious to try Sandalwood. Would also love to sample Gold Man and Rhino for sure.
Love your channel. I love the education I've received over a week of binging here. Thank you for what you do and the enthusiasm and absolute passion you both have for this art form. These are the details and peculiarities that make life so enjoyable. Absolutely love it! ❤️ 🙏🏾👏🏾
Bunch of stuff on there I haven’t smelled yet - Do have Habit Rouge / Rive Gauche incoming and those should apply well to the office... if I was going to pick 3 formals from my collection at the moment it would be TF Grey Vetiver, Prada L’Homme, and creed Royal Oud.
Derby is the one I missed but the Trumper seems to keep on popping up in your videos, I really want to try it, sounds awesome! Greetings from switzerland!
I really love Rhinoceros, but after two hours it settles down to something quite different, and my love wavers a bit. But anyhow, it's truly something quite extraordinary. Thank you for this lovely video!
Listening to you makes me almost regret that I have never had occasion to wear full evening dress! Anyway, you do a lovely first impressions kind of dialogue, but sometimes I wish you would say a little more about how a perfume develops over time. I can sometimes guess from what you say about the ingredients, the longevity and the general character of a fragrance, but if you aim at eliciting a "yeah, I wanna try that, too" response, I would love some more explicit remarks on that score.
Have you guys spent much time w Chanel Egoiste? It has that dark woods and leather gentlemanly luxury feel but in the Chanel style. I recently reviewed it on my channel.
Smells Like yes, owned it enjoyed it for years. Tumper’s sandalwood is very similar, but the sandalwood note it more prominent, and for me it’s a better performing, slightly more luxury feeling alternative to egoists
I could listen to you all day! I agree with you that TF Tobacco Oud is underrated, I can’t weigh in on any of the others since I haven’t had the pleasure of smelling them. Would you consider doing a video from below the loft? The church(?) looks magnificent, I’d love a view of the rest of it.
What do you think about D&G The One Gentleman? Is it for formal occasions (dinners, wedding), or what other would you recommend for weddings similar to this?
@@WaftsfromTheLoft thanks for letting me know about MDM. Thanks to you guys i discovered the AMAZING Special for Gentleman by Le Galion. Not sold in any US stores, but i found a sample on eBay and then found 1 seller with a full bottle and got it! I am in love with it! I'm a total Jicky fanatic, but i love how different SFG is, but with the same vibe as Jicky. Both are worlds better than MDM imo, but it's sad to hear about MDM. THANKS so much for your reviews!
I think you guys can do good video, without words, just different variations of deep exhales and eye rolls. Lol...and Love your location. Thanks for the list.
Hey guys! So I’ve been watching your channel for a little while now.(Probably since 2019) I’ve come to realize that I don’t think I’ve ever seen you mention Penhaligon’s in any of your videos. Are you two just not crazy about that house? Just found it odd being that they are from your native England. Also I’ve been debating buying Habit Rouge EDP but have not been able to smell it yet. Is it so good it’s worth Blind Buying? Thanks!
We have mentioned Penhaligon's occasionally. They were bought buy the beauty group PUIG in about 2015, and I don't think their output has been as good since that happened. Habit Rouge, on the other hand, is a masterpiece.
Thanks! Sadly it is sold out! Koh I nor from their current collection is the closest they sell the moment. Oud Maximus by Bortnikoff is also similar, after the strong Oud opening dies down
Wafts from The Loft thankyou very much for your response, currently indulging in Nishane Hacivat but looking for some more heavy and meaty! i will give the suggestions a try . much appreciated.
@@WaftsfromTheLoft Please do best alternatives to original Tuscan Leather. I never smelt the original I know you said Rasasi La Yuqawam was good, I have it and love it but it smells quite sweet to me and wonder what is the closest copy to the original?
The thing with Guerlain fragrances, especially the classic ones, is that they all develop a lot. One you smell at the end is often quite different from the start. Yes, some of the brightness from the start disappears, but I get a good 6 hours. Not huge, but respectable. If you’re going for a powerhouse fragrance, this is not it.
Forgive me, but what do you gentlemen do for a living? The man in the red tie, in music? The other, in hotels? Sorry, do not know much about you. Am already picking up Trumper due to you, and Cuir Ottoman.
The best ever formal fragrances in my opinion 1. Nino Cerruti pour homme ( 1979 ) 2. Ebene ( Balmain ) 3. Tenere ( Paco Rabanne) 4. Patou pour homme 5. Masculine ( Dolce & Gabanna )
You guys like Amouage Gold? Everything I have heard and read has said it's worthless - and I own nearly all of the Amouage collection for men BUT this one and Silver. Talk to me. I could have gotten Gold for 55 dollars recently and passed it up.
It's on Persolaise's Top-ten, e. g. here th-cam.com/video/09pWDzOihJQ/w-d-xo.html at around the 43:30 mark. Now, Persolaise is one for the more diffusive end of the spectrum, but I'd be curious to try it after having been reminded of it by you gentlemen. Amouage is quite expensive, though.

Wafts from The Loft interesting. I may have to try that out. I’ve only recently fallen in love with Egoiste.
I absolutely love you chaps, we NEED to collab friends.
The Fragrance Apprentice that would be awesome!
Excellent review and discussion! Have y'all ever tried any Pecksniffs? I have the men's classic and really like it!
Daniel San! I remember quite enjoying Cardinal, but have only ever trie them in shops. Nah have to give them a proper wearing
Wat about tobacco vanilla tomford and creed royal Oud for formal events ???
You Gentlemen are the E type Jag of fragrance reviewer's, if i may be so bold. What is your profession?
Mike Lykan. Thanks very much! Joe is a pianist/organist and I’m a classical/opera singer.
When that sample pack of Areej Le Dores new collection comes in your mail, please do a review on them. Love to hear both of your opinions. Cheers !

What do you think about D&G The One Gentleman? Is it for formal occasions (dinners, wedding), or what other would you recommend for weddings similar to this?
RePlayed TV The One is a sweet, ambery fragrance, so I’d think of it as more of an ‘intimate’ or ‘date’ fragrance, as opposed to formal
Do you mean of The One or The One Gentleman?
Sorry, I was referring to The One. I’ve not tried The One Gentleman
Hey guys when will you review Floris?
Neversmeltit hi. We’ve mentioned Floris in our Best of British video

Sadly it is almost discontinued. You can still get it on the French Guerlain site, but only the more expensive 125ml bottles

2. Ebene ( Balmain )
3. Tenere ( Paco Rabanne)
4. Patou pour homme
