Great list guys! What a pleasant surprise your number one was. Nobody ever seems to talk about Le 3' Homme...presumably because they don't know about it. Totally unique and one of the gems in my collection.
Col Hamilton absolutely. And I really believe that if it was released now with a Frederic Malle label and Frederic Malle price people would rave about it, but because it’s an ‘old cheapie’ people don’t bother with it.

Raghba wood intense from the same family is great too. And ultracheap too. I can't stop thinking, if it would be in some fance bottle and some niche brand name on it, it could be sold 10 times the price easily.
Only just found you two. Very good video. Will be definitely trying some of you suggestions. I have actually got the Raghba one. Great smell but on me I found it didn't last as long as you suggested. Maybe mines an old formula..? Will be checking out your site after this.
Yes azzaro PH one of my favorite fragrances ever! I own all 3 formulations and they are all amazing! Even the most recent formulation is amazing definitely the best cheapie I have ever purchased I will also add bogart pour homme is amazing too.
Tabu by Dana is my 1 cheapy and my winter signature scent. Men love it!!! And so do I. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Great departure from your normal vids. Great to see Oud Qadim getting some love (thanks for the mention Jo). I've been impressed with quite a few from Junaid Jamshed. The quality of Oud Qadim makes you question the price tag of things like Rose d'Arabie etc.

You guys just cost me money again, lol. Spent £200 on Amazon, which included three of your recs (Azzaro, Bentley, and Oudh), plus a pair of loafers and a bottle of Woods Old Navy Rum, all for less than a bottle of Aventus ;-)
I just purchased L’Occitane Vetyver. That one got me curious for quite some time, but it was virtually impossible to find, and finally I found one. It’s more herbal with a quasi warm aura and some vetiver. Intriguing to say the least.

I was totally bowled over by seeing Tabac in your video. It's a throwback to my childhood, having been my dad's accustomed after shave. The embodiment of old-fashioned, respectable, middle-class reliability. I had always assumed it was unknown outside Germany, and now this! I am still flabbergasted.
There's more from the 80's here - Azzaro, the Caron, which I agree are timeless classics. I suspect that the Bentley, although a later release, might be a bit overpowering in that decades' tradition. Having entered nostalgia mode: do you know Aramis' Tuscany/Etruscan? It's now also a cheap fragrance that can be had for less than 25 pounds, and feels somewhat akin to Azzaro, although less sharp and anisic, softer and more accessible. That's the first fragrance I wore when I was seventeen years old. This video is a time-travel.
To get back to the present: The most interesting scent in your presentation to me would be Arran Machrie. It definitely sounds the most contemporary.
Sebastian yes, the Arran is definitely the most ‘modern’ in feel. Amazing quality for the money.

They do huge amounts of super cheap Arabic everyday fragrances. I got Arba wardut and Amber Ood both by Rasasi of Dubai, UAE. Presumably what the workers wear...

So glad you loved the fragrance from Junaid Jamshed. He was a Pakistani icon in the music industry during his young years. He made a huge impact on music in Pakistan and India and his timeless songs are still famous even 30 years later. He started his company 'Junaid Jamshed' as a clothing brand and then ventured into fragrances as well. Really heart warming to see a Pakistani company making its mark. Respect to you two gentlemen from Pakistan 🇵🇰! Subscribed to your channel and I'm loving the fragrance reviews! Keep it up guys!
The EDC Tabac is great for the money. It smells like a cheaper Azzaro to me. Not as rich, not as good, but for the $6.25 I paid for it excellent. I can wear that a couple of days a week and preserve the good stuff.
Azzaro's Intense version is supposedly quite good, some reviews have said it's more similar to the original formula.
Do you consider doing another top 10 cheapies? Like an updated version :)

@wafts from the loft I bought azzaro pour homme from Tj Maxx for like $15 or $20 and it smelled like a barber shop scent and to my surprise I got alot of compliments the day I wore it to work. And I wanted to try Jovan's sex appeal but I bout Jovan's tropical musk instead and it's beautiful but now I wanna try sex appeal and they sell it at Citi trends for like $5 to $8.
Tropical musk is the one I grabbed from cititrends recently.. no regrets on that one

Bentley for Men Intense was woefully reformulated in (I think) 2016. A more upscale version to my nose is Pardon by Nasomatto.
That's sad news. Idole by Lubin is also an upscale version

Mark D It’s absolute top quality, and we both love it, as I’m sure you can tell. My only caveat would be that it does have a ‘classic’ smell. If you know Bois de Portugal by Creed, it’s a similar ball park.
I find that Tabac reminds me very much of Chanel No 5 for some reason. Am I crazy for thinking so? I mean they share some top, middle and base notes. Maurer & Wirtz also own 4711, fyi.

Eau de Missions is a good Vanilla scent. There are others I prefer, but for the price you can't beat it.

can you help? trying to find the lattafa raghba classic you mentioned. when i type into ebay or Google, it comes up with so many different options, different bottles. The link you gave is one that doesn't look like the one you are holding and is £50, not £12. Please could you direct me? many thanks
i think the green bottle was 4711 because its now under the same house maurer and wirtz and tabac has some other scent but they are not tabac original just tabac
if it (Azzaro pour Homme) were in a Creed bottle it would be several times the price and only half as strong.

don´t you smell overly sweet synthetic rum in bentley intense? that´s something that i always (more than 3 years, trying 2015 batch and 2018 reformulated) ... still the same problem with that
Definitely a sweet rum vibe, but I don't find it overly synthetic. I think Chambre Noire is similar but better, and if you want to spend the money it certainly smells more expensive than BI.

The Green tabac bottle you metioned is not "tabac Forrest" 😂 it's just A Hair water with the tabac scent!

One I miss in the list of cheapies is "Aspen For Men Coty for men" (1989) which is reminiscent of Green Irish Tweed (not clone and not same quality of course), green version of Davidoff Cool Water.
Eau des Missions is over £100 a bottle, now - I suppose it's discontinued!

Would anyone who owns and wears "lalique Encrie Noire"please tell me if it is the little brother to "Chanel Sycamore " If it would be unisex and If a woman could wear it. I checked out the reviews on the perfume and it was stated as very masculine and a beast mode mans cologne filled with vetiver, cypress, resins and smoke. It sounds really nice and I was tempted to purchase, but first wanted to know If it was strictly a man's fragrance ?
There is definitely a relation to Sycamore, but this does feel a bit cheaper, a little more synthetic. I suppose it’s easy to think of vetiver as masculine, but I wear plenty of ‘feminine’ floral fragrances, so if you think you like the sound of a dark, cypressy vetiver then go for it

As great as people say aventus is I still refuse to pay that ridiculous price for it. My channel is all about the cheapies also.
Mr. Cheap Scents so I gather from your name! There are some fragrances which ARE worth a lot of money, particularly if they’ve got expensive ingredients like rose, sandalwood etc. Aventus is nice, but the price is ridiculous
@@WaftsfromTheLoft I totally agree. I get so much flack from a co-worker that tells people his Invictus cost $80 or $90 and tells people Im called Mr Ross or Mr TJ Maxx cuz I shop discount. He don't realize that the same Fragrance he wears for retail is the same Fragrance I wear for $20 to $40 discounted. I guess he thinks he is impressing people with the price but I have 150 Fragrances verses his one.
