Absolutely awesome. This video makes it look so easy that I think I might be able to play it. So long as I never pick up my guitar, who's to say that I can't?!
I know this was 10 years ago... but there is no bending the E string during the main riff. You just move your pick position between the bridge and neck pickup back and forth with a slight pinch. Squeal on the 3rd down beat last chorus to end.
I think you should do some exercise before you try to play it-i can't find the video but there is a guy shows you how to improve your finger timing an stuff like that-. Also you can try to lower metronome level to 80 than go up day by day. Good luck!
The main riff is created by using the pinch harmonic technique with your pick thump but running up and down the string and never fully executing the pinch harmonic. You're playing the live version
Is it just me or is he picking every note on the E string for the legato section? I swear I can hear and see him picking real quick the high E but he says we should only pick the first note on each string. Funny thing, when I do pick the high notes it sounds much closer to the actual thing. Anyone?
By any chance do you have the tabs for it? I have seen several videos and found several tabs sheets but your video and note accuracy and sound i believe it to be the correct best one so if you have the tabs please let me know, cheers.
I think what he's doing is 4th string open is D (the root or the one), third string 2nd fret is A (the 5th of D), second string 5th fret is E (the 2 of D note that it can also be the 9 of D), and 1st string 2nd fret is F# (the 3 of D), so what you have is the 1, 5, 2, and 3 of D.
He traded the 2nd string 3rd fret (D note) for the 4th string open D note and replaced 2nd string 3rd fret (the root or 1) for the second of D, the E note (2nd string 5th fret)...hope that helps
could have just told us the tuning..instead of saying"should sound like this!" I mean damn...if someone is trying to play Zak wylde shit,id hope they know how to down tune!!!

Practice, no other way unless you're born with a natural talent and even they practice...
Hey Danny, was wondering if you have a lesson plan available? Thanks, Blaine

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but isn't a Dsus2 chord G string 2nd fret, B string 3rd fret?
