Thank you so much for the upload, the song sounds so good and is relatively easy. I am not yet working on the riffs, mostly rhythm. Could you ever post a vid with the rhythm only for us beginning guitarists. Although I am working on the solo you showed, just not good enough yet.
I’m confused. I can’t decide whether to play this song in half step down of a full step down. This lesson here tells me whole step, while other tabs tell me it’s in half step. Looks like I’m gnna have to mess around in both tunings. Lol
It's a ½ step down, or E♭ tuning.. I have no idea why this dude is suggesting it's a whole step down since that would put us in the G position instead of F♯ like Zakk and BLS plays it both on the studio recording as well as most of the live renditions safe for a few examples where it's played in standard tuning ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I mean.. I guess? It's his story, I'll let him tell it..
It's a ½ step down aka E♭ tuning.. No idea where this dude got the idea of it being tuned a whole step down since Zakk and BLS play it in E♭ not D like this dude is suggesting.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@ordinaryavgguy OK, fair enough, but this particular jam as well as Stillborn are in E standard tuning and the fact that I misidentified it as being in ½ step down has to be due to the fact that I have always rendered it that way through software to match my guitar tuning and can't even remember the last time I heard it in it's original E standard tuning.. My bad
Wait, now I'm remembering that Stillborn is actually a half step down and this one is standard ffs I'm getting confused 😕 Pawned my guitar last month or I'd go check for myself but I'm fairly certain I've always had to render this in software to play along with it..
@@88_TROUBLE_88 Correct, Stillborn is in Eb, perhaps because of Ozzy and a throwback to the older Ozzy albums in Eb. Most of Order of the Black is in D standard, but new songs like set you Free in C#. I wonder if Zakk plays his older stuff tuned down live now.
I really needed the next part of the solo. Dammit

Just run it through Melodyne or if you don't have that some other software to find out what the software thinks is the original key :D

@@88_TROUBLE_88A lot of their stuff is in D standard/Drop C. There are even videos where Zakk talks about it.
