the castle and pirates themes are my favorite but I also collect others as well so no matter what I have to buy to get several of these I will!!!!! LOL
Thanks for this info , will be ready that weekend for sure! I 100% agree they should make this a set on its own available to buy. They need to sell more small castle themed box / polybags.
You forgot the Vikings village is expected to be released in October or November so it can go together with as a GWP, might have to do another set to pass the threshold
It might be an unpopular opinion, but I'm really starting to hate the whole GWP thing that LEGO is doing. They're trying to get AFOLs to spend a ton of money just to get a free $25-30 set that plays on the nostalgia heart strings combined with the whole "FOMO" concept. I really wish GWPs would only be basic parts packs and not fully fleshed out sets.
totally agree, parts packs are cool, whole sets just being bought by scalpers to make money is not.... I really dont want to have to wait til midnight and hope the servers get an order through just to try to get something that I feel like an idiot for trying to buy because it forces me to get things I may not really want.... and it also incentivizes me to wait on buying things I do want so that I will have something to get a GWP for... And the worst of it is, they have to limit the GWP size and detail to keep it in a better profit margin for all this... it better be something special for me to want to go through all that, the basic house is something anyone can moc up pretty easily.
I really would love to see a remake of Dark Knights, rather than the Dragon Masters. They were one of the 4 OG factions together with Lion Knights, Black Falcons and the Forestmen
@@ladahieno2382 It would be nice if they introduced the pig face bassinet helmet for this faction.I could see them allying with the wolf pack to hire as mercenaries. Though I am not too big a fan of the GWP but there is potential for some small side builds with them. Though the wolf pack mountain castle is also one I would love to see reimagined. Also need something for the falcon knights since they are already in the new lore.... LEGO needs to do some catching up.
@@jacobe1942 oh definitely! And I mean, since in the new castle there are also references to Lord Basil and in the CMF we got a remade Troll minifigure perhaps it wouldn't be such a stretch to say that the world of LEGO Castle is connected, with the Vikings sets too, seeing as we got the creator set and now the village. I am positive we will be getting a new Castle series soon, maybe even as soon as next year
@@ladahieno2382 That would be really sweet... The Liions knight castle got me back into lego after 25 years! best set ever... where is the reference to basil? The viking set will pair really niceely with the castle as a raiding faction to plunder the royal bakery of sweet treats! did you know vikings have a sweet tooth? well no one makes cakes so fine with the royal mill flour. There is also a mountain castle brick link thing to be on the look out for.
@@BB2O2 In Europe the VIking set is available from Lego at the moment, so as inventory of Lego it should be contributing to the treshold for GWP. Also in Europe the Viking set will come available from selected retailers. But as the price is really reasonable allready, i think buying with GWP will be more a probability then wait for a decent discount outside Lego, especially since we will get double insiders-points during that weekend aswell. Thank you for this video, good to get a visual about Majisto, looking forward to see what the set turns out to be.
Given the new information we have about this set, has your opinion changed? I have to much backlog to get any new sets (as great as the new Eldorado Fortress or Viking Village may be)…
Three minifigures instead of two is interesting. It gives me some hope that the set might be substantially different from its predecessor. I'll put out another thoughts video when it's official!
I wish they would just let me buy a set from them. I'd love nothing more than to build a classic styled set, but I just don't have the money for space to buy hundreds of dollars worth of Star Wars, Marvel, or Ninjago sets to make it available to me even though I'd love to have Lion Knights' Castle or Rivendell.
Exactly! It's annoying when there's nothing we even want on the shelves right now, and we're paying far more for something we wouldn't want just to get a GWP. It's not worth it this way. Thanks for watching, Wade!
I guess LEGO really has us and can do whatever they want. Because I do not understand their reasoning to take popular sets that could sell many copies of and instead make it a rare thing, meanwhile not having a large selection of sets in that theme to purchase with it. It just adds to stress of customer who has to wait at computer at midnight to purchase (hoping a order can even get through) so that scalpers with big money who invest tons in LEGO buy up multiple copies to sell, and then resell the other sets... I thought LEGO was a company of ethics? While also limiting the quality they can put into the sets to make qualify for GWP. at 365 pieces will it be cool enough to fret over? or can I just moc something up in 20 minutes that will suffice? Because what is here, most could easily do better than pretty easily. The Lions knight castle was my first LEGO purchase in 25 years, and I was pretty disappointed the GWP then was not linked to the set, I actually had to buy that on EBay. This whole GWP thing really only seems to help LEGO and resellers, not so much the customer, GWP should be like the Pirate accessories bag, which was perfect and really fun. well atleast there may be the viking set... but likely will need to buy 2 to qualify.
I personally think it’s a lazy way to give us castle sets. It would be so much simpler if they just revamped the theme, but sadly they probably won’t, they’ll just continue on with what they have been doing😔
I saw some info recently that it has three minifigures - Majisto and two knights. I'll make another video when more comes out but for now it's not worth it on its own!
Lego needs to do runs of Castle and Pirates. Huge demands for both.
It's past time. One-offs aren't good enough
We need battle packs for both.
I doubt it will come back that way it used to. It’s AFOL demand. Their target demographic, children, don’t really care
Yeah, if I worked for Lego i'd make some serious changes. This heavily licensed set focus isn't working.
What about Dreamz? I mean wtf is that? or what about ANOTHER Millennium Falcon?@@jonnycatland1987
I think this is a chance to correct the only flaw in the Lions castle: the horrible blue with no printing.

I’ll probably get it with an El Dorado or the new Viking village.
Good plan! Thanks for watching, Thomas
Id like to get the Viking set but likely wont be enough to qualify.
Viking village for this and the winter set for the promo bags. Is what I do. So I got the priates bag and Halloween bag with the winter set
I think i want this set

If they do a dragon master figure they will probably put more out later.
I hope really that the dragon masters come back
You and me both! Thanks for watching

The Viking village is coming out in the fall I believe so maybe you can pick it up then?
That's a good point. Are we sure it'll be eligible for a GWP though? I thought it was a Target exclusive, could be wrong
