Style wise the classic dragon is the absolute best castle dragon for me, and I grew up with the fantasy/kingdoms style, which I always thought were too goofy and clunky, and I don't like how their bodyplan was adapted for dinosaur figures. Their static legs on hip joints offer no posability while not affording them any stability either, so it's the worst of both worlds. As for the classic dragon, it just screams lego - unlike the way it's built. I think nowadays it's better suited to be admired as it is than to be played with. I've bought multiple dragons from ninjago despite not knowing any of the story, just because I liked them. You showed the movie mech one and the skull sorcerer's, but I also enjoyed the green dragon from the sky pirates arc that had those flashy metallic gold-scaled wing webbings. Fully brickbuilt with cloth wings is my absolute favorite model of dragon, which is why I find the current lineup so uninteresting. The ugly smooth specialized pieces don't do anything for me. I hope they return to properly constructed heads soon, since those are always lovely examples of creativity and parts usage. I'll even accept printed eyes! Those are fun.
I love the fantasy era dragons specifically the 2013 one as it came in my first ever castle set back in 2014 though I really want the armoured green dragon as it looks amazing
I grew up with the first dragons. The translucent orange was a part of so many different themes that I had and the wings being that color just brings back good memories.
I actually do enjoy the small dragon from the 3-in-1 creator castle set. I think the wings are weak, and it could be bigger, but other than that I do like the look of the dragon and its articulation.
I really like the big Hungarian Horntail dragon set, and think that is the best LEGO dragon. I feel it could be seamlessly integrated into any medieval fantasy MOC.
Honestly I’m a big fan of the classic dragon. It’s what my siblings and I had access to, as we could never afford the Viking or Fantasy Era sets at the time. Definitely nostalgia talking. Currently looking to pick up a black and green for display Great video mate
Nice video. I think I like the Fantasy Era dragons the most, I like the grander scale while not being brick built. Side note I think the original Hungarian Horntail from 4767 probably deserved a mention in your vid
I remember frequently taking my brothers red castle dragon and playing with it, but the first dragons of my own were the elves ones, since i would often get the more girly sets like friends and whatnot, loved the elves series so much when it came out, i think the first elves one i got was the little light blue one. This vid makes me want to go rebuild them all now lol (My bro doesn’t like legos much anymore so his dragon is mine now muahaha)
I think for the creator 3 in 1 Dragon, its honestly better to get two or 3 sets of the 31120 because then you can actually make a worthy good sized dragon thats both cool looking and bigger, I have seen videos on an MOC known as the Guardians Stronghold from people who bought 3 of the 31120 Castle sets and the Dragon built with those 3 sets is honestly badass and larger in size than the base one shown in the video, but since you need 3 of them for the guardians stringhold, the cost is a whopping 300$ plus tax, and another 15-16$ for the instructions on Rebrickable.
Since I'm mostly a Bionicle fan, the Vikings dragons have a soft spot in my heart, specifically with the Armored Ofnir Dragon with that Kardas head. (I could be cheeky and say my favorite is the Kardas Dragon or Kanohi Dragon, but those aren't Castle themed dragons.)
The Bionicle/Vikings crossover was bizarre but I think it turned out well, honestly. Ofnir is one of my favorite dragons ever, maybe my favorite outright. Thanks for watching!
I have to say, I recently got smaug and put him to my red dragon army, now I really don't like how the fantasy era once look anymore 😅 Not to say they are bad, just to cartoonish for my taste, only exception is the green one, that one still looks dope :)

This video along with your previous ones, made me realize how great a fantasy themed faction for castle would lizardmen be...
That's a good idea! Thanks for watching

The three in one castle dragon has some charm to it, I really like it for what it is, a side build
the classic dragon makes great statues

I agree about the neon wings, they may not have made the most sense but they sure were cool! Thanks for watching
i just wish lego will bring back some castle sets, i loved the fantasy era!
I might have a video about fantasy era coming soon, actually! Thanks for watching
The very original ice dragon from Ninjago was not only my first dragon but one of my first Lego sets ever, will always be the best to me
I actually do enjoy the small dragon from the 3-in-1 creator castle set. I think the wings are weak, and it could be bigger, but other than that I do like the look of the dragon and its articulation.
I'm happy you enjoy it! Thanks for watching, cloud

The new Horntail is sick! Completely agree that it would be at home in a Castle layout. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate your comment!

Great video mate
Brooo, those dragons from the vikings theme are really cool. Yet another reason why the viking theme is one of my favorites.
As much as I like the simplicity and very Lego-esque aesthetic of the OG dragons, the Fantasy-era Dragons are the best iteration IMO.
Lots of people feel the same way! Thanks for watching, Matthew
Fantasy 🎉
Good choice, and thanks for watching!

Funny you say that, I actually had a few lines about it written down but accidentally skipped over them! Thanks for watching Andrew

As a Bionicle nostalgia whore, I’m boast towards the Vikings dragons. I remember my cousin having them and I thought they were so cool.
I'll always appreciate how unique they are, since I doubt Lego will ever return to that style. Thanks for watching!

Classic dragons!
Thanks for watching, Alex!
My favourite is the massive lego smaug wyvern dragon
Green dragon classic!
I have to say, I recently got smaug and put him to my red dragon army, now I really don't like how the fantasy era once look anymore 😅

I grew up with Bionicle so when the Vikings dragons came around they were my favorite. At this point Ninjago has done better but I don’t own those
Ninjago definitely has the best dragons, can't wait for if/when they bring that innovation to the Castle theme
