Thanks! Quite similar actually, the GR86 does have a different feel and particularly the sound, E86 is a bit more refined on that front. But handling wise they feel very similar!
Thank you for a well done review and report. It is obvious that you know cars and how to drive. I'm comparing you to some of those TH-camrs in the States who seem to have a problem to intellectually speak about any subject.
Just can't justify another car w/ the kiddos and I'm not ready to let go of the NC Miata or the e46 (too much money's been sunk into it, haha). Maybe one day!@@FootToPedal
still good to have "a list" haha... here's to hoping Mazda releases a "3 series" Mazda 6 with a manual, RWD, and their new I6! (better for the kiddos than the GR86!)@@FootToPedal
Yes absolutely 😂 a RWD Mazda 6 with an I6 and a manual would be a great rival to some of the modern German stuff, let's hope they build something like that, and probably more practical than a GR86 as you say!
Very different cars to be honest, to me the N52 in the Z4 is a nicer and more interesting engine, the Z4 is also a lot more physical to drive. The GR86 feels quite small, agile and light on its feet and of course comes with a much newer interior etc. Really depends what sort of experience you're after, both are great cars
This car is bad because it doesn't have a proper differential, it has a Torsen which is unbelievably unstable and trash at the limit especially if you upgrade the low grip tires.
Yeah bro its so bad that cars in this price range do not even come with an LSD just an open one. Your anecdotal babling from yours truly rear end don't have anything worthwhile either.
@@BB-wz6bx You could say that Torsen is open lol but it can transfer 70% of the torque instead of 50%, pretty much the same trash behavior... What is your experience? please tell, parking in parking lot? XD I'm talking from real world track experience with telemetry.
@@Iseenoobpeoples Anecdotal experiences, again, but now with percentages, okay. You stated the car is bad merely because it has a torsen, you most likely never even driven this car in the first place let alone at the limit. You know quite a lot don't you? You don't happen to ride the bus while playing forza on the phone now perchance?
@@BB-wz6bx You read that right the first time, for my use, it kills the car. I would like to think that I know quite a lot, especially compared to you with no experience at the limit. I'm running 255 width semi-slicks tires with a plated LSD etc right now.
Very nice visual shots of the car, probably one is the best ones I've seen
Thanks appreciate it!
Great review. It seems to me to be like a modern day e86 z4. How do you find the two compare?
Thanks! Quite similar actually, the GR86 does have a different feel and particularly the sound, E86 is a bit more refined on that front. But handling wise they feel very similar!
Good review, well played!
Great presentation and insight you brought into this car. Interesting exhaust note. Care to tell us what make it is?
Thanks appreciate it! The exhaust is made by Scorpion and is an OPF back system.
Agree, have mine a week now and it’s great.
Nice video. Whats the brand of strut bar there when you opened the bonnet?
That is a Cusco Strut Bar!
Production continues for the home market, USA, Australia etc. Subaru BRZ also produced as before, but not released in the Europe & UK.

Thanks Steven, appreciate that!
What brand is the exhaust? Is the car and PPF still in place? Sorry if I missed it. Cool car, good video.
It's a Cobra cat-back exhaust so the cat is still in place, I think the OPF will be too!
Your uncle has good taste... these are on my list.
Well worth trying one I'd say!

Ahaha yeah totally understandable!

Is this car better than your Z4 Coupe?
