สวัสดีค่ะ, Hey Ryan and Mo, I'm Nattie, a Thai person living in Manchester. My partner and I love your videos; they remind me of home. Keep up the excellent work! 🎉❤
Thanks for clearing that up about the full wrap they wear and also thought is was to stop the sun, But heck to me it would make me sweat more. The house looks good and great build.
Great video, love the music too. The build is coming along nicely. My wife returned to Bangkok this weekend. My son and I will return end of next week 🙏 looking forward to the food and warm weather.
Hey Ryan, I know you have mentioned that you play the sax. I think many of us watchers would love for you to use some music that includes your playing. Take care brother, and stay eternal.
Hi Ryan and Mo. I’m love your channel has been watching and fans for long time and also from Burirum your cottage give me an idea to build for my retirement this year..keep up a good work 🎉
Hi Ryan and Mo, I’ve been travelling northern Thailand for a few weeks so catching up with you guys and what your up to. I just like to say what an absolute fantastic time I had in Thailand I have never been to a country that is so beautiful in all my life and what makes it beautiful not just the scenery but the people the people make Thailand , not once did I meet a miserable or nasty person? I felt very humble to be in Thailand, the Thai people don’t stress about things, and are very positive people most beautiful people I have ever met, they work hard and put a 100 % into everything they do,I put that down to lots of reasons, there religion, how they respect each other and there family’s it’s just beautiful. I was sad to read negative comments on some of your posts regarding land and ownership and Thai wives and the awful “pheasant” word wow. For me it was inspiring how Thai people are not materialistic, I didn’t feel I had to wear make-up every day or be dressed to the nines like you do in England I could just chuck on some shorts and a T-shirt wear no make up and no one noticed. I felt free to be myself ,It’s made me realise what a concrete jungle I live in as soon as I got off that plane and hit England. It was a completely different atmosphere miserable people bashing into you talking to you rudely. I just like to say what a wonderful family you have and what a wonderful life you lead and what a fantastic upbringing your children have got their free they understand nature and not dealing with the harsh realities of concrete jungles , how you live your life is nothing to do with anyone wouldn’t even justify putting things right to these people Do you live in northern or southern Thailand, I’ve never thought about it till now I’ll be back to Thailand next year, a few weeks in the south, I’ve left my heart there :) Keep on rocking it Ryan and mo 🙏🏻 x
I think that the secret room is going to be an office-type set up. It will contain electronic equipment - computer, perhaps something that creates music as well.
Hey great start, and yes to the why we wrap up. My father came from England to Australia and he was told similar, that's why Aussie's wear a vest/singlet, especially under a shirt.
My parents came from England to Australia with 6 young kids over 5 decades ago. I can't say that I've ever known anyone in Australia to wear a vest/singlet under a shirt to help cooling/absorb sweat.
For all your farmhouse productions. All good things must come to an end is a proverb that means nothing lasts forever, all things and situations are temporary, or happiness is fleeting. It may be used to express regret when something that brings you happiness ends.
Good to see the build in more detail. Damo looks colorful, but Ryan same same! 555 Put on your vacation shirt once in a while Ryan! When are we going to see Hugo running around again? Too dangerous with the build going on I guess. All things in time. Glad you got lucky at the Temple, That extra room's purpose is conundrum , know you already have a winner, but still want to figure it out. Good times with Yaai and Damo laughing about lottery tickets and how some people choose their numbers. Take care of that ear infection, Damo! Thanks again guys always fun, informative, and well produced vlogs here on Life in Rural Thailand.. Keep it flowing, Peace and Love Y'all
would you tell us total cost of the building once finished? I'm not looking for a full on video. I live in Thailand and wonder about building costs if I were to do so at some point...
Have you considered buying a side by side vehicle, something like a CFMOTO Uforce? They will go in any terrain so u can use it on the farm, and also its much safer for Demo to drive than a motorcycle.
Thanks Ryan for tip about 7/11 toasted sandwiches Trevor of Christchurch tried them today and gave them a 7,that naturally would have gone up to 8 if loaded with onions, Cheers😊
Hi Ryan this time you're not showing us the new build properly, i don't know how so much is completed already. And i was wondering if you will ever visit England with damo and the kids
You’re both very lucky! 🙏 I love those fortune sticks. I thought you just pick a stick and read your fortune? I’ve never shaken them. Have I been doing it wrong?
Hey Ryan & Damo, haven´t watched any of your vlogs for some time due to being very busy with many different things. Obviously there´s quite a bit I have to watch to see what you have been up to, like building a whole new section again! Looks awesome! First I thought it was the kitchen getting a makeover but the kitchen is to the right of the cottage correct? Always loved those temple fairs! Often I find myself holding my phone next to the speakers with Shazam listening to the Thai music that´s playing because I want to know which songs those are and add them to my Thai music playlist. Good to see you´re all doing well =)
Yes I was told when a snake enters your home the lottery will be your house number 😉 My old house was 97/2 and I guess it's a recurring winner as the locals often asked me if I won....❤🇹🇭🙏
this is how you assimilate. great content thanks for uploading! getting to know the culture and being respectful of the Thai people its a rare sight here on youtube!
Looks great, now if you can actually keep the vegetation and plants from growing over your new build. I thought it was actually not a good idea to have vegetation and plants growing right up against your foundation and walls or is it different in Thai construction?
usually depends on what it is growing, for example there is a tree in front of our cottage that needs to be moved because of its roof system but some climbers and other plants are perfectly fine on and next to the building :)
Love the Thai temples for their ornateness and colour. Still need to learn pretty much everything about the Thai beliefs and customs to do with Buddhism though. Interesting that my Thai ladyfriend when messaging me today, told my she had a 'bath' in "holy water" yesterday. The reason: 3 weeks ago, she had a pretty bad rib injury from slipping off a motorcycle on a wet road. The belief is that the "Holy water" would hopefully wash away the 'bad luck', she told me. If not for potentially showing disrespect, I might have asked if I could get some holy water considering the bad luck that's come my way this year. Maybe Damo might confirm that belief (it's not that I don't believe her, it's just that translations aren't always accurate). It's the first time my ladyfriend has shared something like this in the 18+ months since we met. Enjoyed the vlog as usual 🙏🙏🙏
Please make sure you seal the area above your bed and computer desk areas. Otherwise, the lizards will sit up there and poop on your bed and desk. I have wood beams and i thought the lizards would not be able to sit but somehow the little guys/gals put their butts over the edge and release at the same spot on my desk!!! But now that I see how you rendered everything, your ceiling looks to be fully sealed in....good work!!!
On the Buffalo subject..cared for and not eaten....what happens to them..why do people keep them...they are not used any more these days for pulling plough...?
People around here keep them for breeding and then selling on, our herd is just to have around. Damos family used to sell them in an emergency back in the day but not these days.
I am in living in Thailand but do not want a pig, so never bothered guessing, though we have a few chickens and those pretty ones you were thinking of raising wouldn't mind one of them.

Yes, the render must be put on and stay on, also must be good quality finish.
Love these building update videos! Really curious to see the % breakdown of cost of materials vs labor for it.
Also think the only items I've won from the temple lotteries are dish soap and household items haha so thats a nice win for you!
Nice one again.... greetings from NST.

Some pretty cool blues 🤙🏼
Awesome, in the future could connect the two front veranda’s with a covered walkway, maybe grow some vines over it, just a thought
Hi Ryan this time you're not showing us the new build properly, i don't know how so much is completed already. And i was wondering if you will ever visit England with damo and the kids
I love it!!!! The "unofficial" Thai lottery is a fascinating story555. Will tell you in private someday.

Hey my friend
Yes this is next to the kitchen - a bedroom for me and a secret room that is next door and will be announced when we finish 😁🙏👍

Render, if I'm hearing it right, seems like stuccoing here in Florida.
Render: a sand, cement and water mix that's plastered over bricks/stones, then painted once dry
