About the BODMAS thing, that's actually accurate (despite the weird acronym), and if the person explaining BODMAS actually knew how to use it they would've gotten to the correct answer.

In primary school, I was taught that the O in BODMAS stood for order, which was powers roots and stuff.
People thinking that they know more than experts and professionals in anything about anything regarding their areas of expertise will always baffle and amaze me in the worst possible way. I HATE their blatant stupidity and ignorance and the arrogance that these people display in thinking they know more about these professionals about any part of what they do.
I can agree with this but sometimes people actually do research and get things done by other professionals in that field, so if that's the case it's kinda like one professionals word against another if what you've researched is credible, I don't go around arguing with experts in their field myself tho

I find it funny how multiple of these are people who were never taught order of operations (BIDMAS/BODMAS/PEMDAS)
i was taught BEDMAS. Brackets (technically parentheses); Exponents (Powers); Division and Multiplication are interchangeable, whichever comes first left to right is the one performed; then Addition/Subtraction. really basic arithmetic. 7th grade shit.

PEMDAS (Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction) and BODMAS (Brackets, Order, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction) are the same thing, so long as you remember that multiplication and division have the same priority, and that addition and subtraction have the same priority.

I can confirm, BODMAS is an actual method used in math class but unfortunately, the guy explained it wrong, it actually means:
B- Brackets
O- Of
D- Division
M- Multiplication
A- Addition
S- Subtraction
Basically, you first add the 2's together in the bracket (B) and then do the division part (D) Now you're just left with the multiplication.
8 × (4) = 32
We always used BIDMAS. Unfortunately I failed maths so I can't remember what it stood for

Pretty sure this problem is the problem used to prove that division symbols are relative, and the brackets can be done first or you can divide the 16 by two then distribute to the brackets.
