Finally a video that starts from the beginning by telling you what you need and why. This looks like a great way to wash a vehicle in a shorter period of time. Not everyone can spend all day washing. Thanks so much, my triple black C6 vert thanks you.
You should foam then rinse the car before going in with a mitt. I’ve learned that you can get a ton of dirt off the car that way, which will make the contact wash that much safer. Just my .02, from my experience. Slick car! Can’t wait to get one.
That is an awesome car. Where I live in Delaware there is no way I could ever get to use even 50% of the performace of a ZR1, without losing my license. lol
Great video! 🔥 I personally prefer to foam it up the 1st time, let the soap sit a few minutes, let it remove as much dirt off the paint without actually touching the car, and than rinse it off. After that..I foam it up a 2nd time, than I would apply the wash mit. This helps ensure that most of the dirt is gone before using a wash mit and avoid any micro scratches and swirl marks.
Thanks for the great info I’m waiting for delivery of a 2022 JCW Cooper and will have it XPEL wrapped and ceramic coated first time so I definitely needed the tutorial to relearn “washing” a car 👍👍👍
How is the visibility on the ZR1 being you had the ZO6,. I called my sales guy and they said they can locate me a new ZR1, but going to also hold on to my 2017 ZO6 but I see how high the hood sits on new ZR1 and wanted to know if its annoying or just something to get use to? Great work as always brother and your car looks sick. Enjoy that machine, truly are one hell of a ride.
Thank you! I love the ZR1! Visibility is about the same, The hood bulge is obviously bigger but it's totally worth it and it doesn't really affect visibility that much. 👍
Quick question. Why not just use a dry wash and do it inside your garage. This is my method for 9 years as I don't want to chance water spots and the paint looks like glass. Excellent demonstration on how you do it though.
BIG BIG BIG NEWS FOR THE C8, Motortrend dynoed the engine and its a 650hp engine at the crank. 558ft lbs of torque at the rear wheel was observered. Forget the Z06, wheels and exhaust are all thats needed.
@@LT4POWERED it is pricey that's for sure. I've had mine for a few years though so it seems to be worth it as far as craftsmanship goes. Alternatively you can use a leaf blower or compressed air with similar results.
I have an electric leaf blower I bought specifically for that reason but I usually just end up using a dedicated Absorber XL. Haven’t noticed any issues by using it.
Great video I just got my 2021 chevy Silverado ceramic coating done at 2 guys detailing in white oak PA it looks great I heard Black tinting dose really good but 2 guys is closer to me. I have to wait 2 weeks to wash it. And I will need to get some supplies that you and they recommend. Thanks
AWESOME video as always Justin! I do exactly the same routine that you recommend with just one change. I like to use 6(six) microfiber mits instead of one without a rinse bucket. After foaming the car down I’ll use mit one to do half the roof. I will then turn the mit over and do the other roof half. When finished with mit one I toss it into an empty bucket and pick up,mit #2 and do half the hood, then turning over and do the other half. I finish up the rest of the car using the remainder mits. With this technique you are absolutely sure to use a clean mit with no risk of a hidden stone or debris to scratch. I of course use a separate mit and brush for the wheels and tires. Master blaster IS A MUST!! Can’t wait for your spotless water video!! By the way, I like your new ZR1 but I LOVED YOUR RED Z06!! Will your 2020 be red?? Bob
Another excellent upload Justin. I know you'll address the Spot Free water setup later, but for now I have one question. Is the water that's being treated still drinkable? Save the Wave.
I definitely agree. I don't use any wheel cleaner since I have the carbon ceramic rotors and the wheels are ceramic coated. All that I use in the wheels is the same soap I use on the car. 👍
Yeah true. Us guys with the steel rotors need to use it from time to time though. Sometimes the soap and water just isn’t enough. And I love the Z06 wheel design but my God they are tough to clean!
Great video! What process you would advise for hot, summer weather in Las Vegas? I have a ceramic coated car. Even nights are 100 degrees in July/August.
Little tidbit about grit guards, they're not as effective as they claim to be. Suggest you looking up why. Other than that, great video! As a detailer who has many maintenance clients, I use this method.

@@HorsePowerObsessed so far I don’t get water spot and I’m using a water hose, only thing is I’m starting to see scratches so I’m guessing it’s no using a pressure washer and foam canon to prep the car for a proper wash

Nice car by the way.
There is no way that a waterless wash wouldn't scratch a black car. I'm sorry, I've tested too many of these products to feel any different. Black is way too sensitive to dirt. The waterless wash may be a great option for other colors, but it's definitely not doing black any favors.

Lot of velocity from that Master Blaster. Is there a concern about the MB blasting vehicles with the airborne particulates it sucks in? Does it have a high efficiency filter?

You can wash it with regular water but at the end the best way is to use distilled water to prevent any kind of water spotting.
