This was the only Red faction I've played and it's one of the most underrated I ever played. The weapons, the voice acting, the multiplayer with bots, it was so goddamn awesome.
I loved this game, the entire series was great actually. RF2 had multiplayer bots which was a huge deal for someone without high-speed internet growing up
A top notch review as always my friend, all valid points! It is a favorite of mine & both "Red Faction 1 & 2" converted me to finally liking first person shooters.
This series is all over the place. Two FPS games that feel different, an open world game, a tight budget film, then a Dead Space clone that somehow runs at 60fps on 7th gen.
I loved this game growing up, and recently replayed it on the OG Xbox. Does it have issues, narratively and gameplay wise? Absolutely Is it still a blast to play? Undeniably RIP Volition, we'll never see Red Faction again
Fun thing to know, this is one of the first games that I could remember that had a dedicated Grenade trigger that gets blocked when you duel wield predating Halo 2.
When playing this on release I always felt this game was developed as a standalone title but then having the Red Faction name slapped onto it and some references getting added tying it to the first when the publishers got nervous.
The biggest challenge that game throws at you is that unskippable cutscene before final showdown. Good god watching that thing over and over again was atrocious.
After renting the first Red Faction and being completely underwhelmed by the bland environmental design (entire game takes place in a cave for crying out loud) I rented the sequel and quickly was blown away by the superior art direction and feature rich multiplayer suite. RF2 is a classic in my eyes, and absolutely towers over the original in nearly every way.
I remember liking this game but not nearly as much as the original. It's definitely more generic. I also remember it having the ugliest shotgun i have seen to date in an FPS.
@@AngelFloresOchoa Why would you think that ? I just consider the game to be rather poor and a major downgrade compared to the original. Also, I doubt many zoomers played RF1 anyway.
I remember playing this game religiously thinking how cool I was! Dual wielding like a boss! ❤

Really loved the art direction in this game. The color palette ,characters design and guns design were very cool.

The red faction games after two don't appeal to me very much. I miss the fps feel.
I remember playing this loads on my PS2 back in the day. Only thing I didn't like was the ending was the same cutscene with different voice overs

my Favorite Game among my Collection.

i wish the og red faction got an og xbox release.
This game is great, fuck the haters.
Can you do a review for Vladik Brutal? Game came yesterday and it's Half Life 2 on steroids.

Me too, this game is underrated, it's a very fun fps game

I don't know about you put some of the submachine guns in that game look badass, especially the bullpup one.
I loved this game when it came out. I thought the bot matches were really fun but sadly waaay too easy even on hard.
I enjoyed red 2 campaign 👍
I tried it on PC recently and really didn't liked the feeling of the gameplay, that's too bad...
6:18 these would have been a plus at the time. 😅
Good game
Oh shiiiiiiiit
This one is mostly forgettable. Not bad. Just not memorable. Wait until you play the third game. You can destroy fucking everything in that game.
Easily the worst game in the franchise, a big drop in quality compared to the first game.
Lol what? Are you a zoomer? 😂

First comment, game is shit
