I think it looked good on PS2, but Xbox was the definitive place to play it. Thanks for showing some footage from Freedom Fighters and Breakdown, I loved both of those games!

Yes! glad to see an updated OG Xbox video. You inspired me to collect for this console a few years ago. My collection is currently at about 90 titles!! Thanks for the video 🤘
Darkwatch was an absolute blast to play. I had my eye on it since the very beginning and bought it for the Xbox day 1. An absolute hidden gem. Really wish it would get a remaster today, I mean way less popular games have gotten remasters than no one asked for. Darkwatch on the other hand would be loved by many even today.
Yeah Darkwatch is really fun and the controls are closer to the modern shooter controller configuration so it’s really easy to go back and play. It’s a pretty good looking game for the time and if you have a modded Xbox, you can play it in 480p.
I would love it if Dark Watch came back man, a remaster would make many people's day and also sell better too, not to mention more recently a game that had a similar setting vibes to Dark Watch being Evil West where it's third person Doom and you go out in a Western setting brutally taking out demons and monsters in the most Boomer Shooter way given, as in Rip and Tear, either way the fact that a new game got made with some possible inspiration from the Cult Classic FPS does give some hope a remaster might be on the horizon.
Honest truth I’ve never heard of it till now , maybe just was during my time away from gaming I guess , I love that I can tell it’s brought back so many good memories for you , crazy how certain games can really take you back to exact moments in time n remind you even of ppl you may not see now isn’t it.
I love these kinds of videos. Aside from your enthusiasm and passion, I can find some hidden gems. The fact that many of these games can be played on the Xbox One or the Xbox Series X with higher frame rates and resolution in many cases is another bonus.
I know you do play all of these on the console itself and these are collector videos, but I just want to let you know that these types of videos you do are PERFECT for doing research for emulation and which games to bother downloading. Your collections are just fun games or at least ones with redeeming qualities, no bullshit, show us the game, good basic info and opinion. Helps build out my collection for my Steam Deck. Honestly, big thanks.
Hey, man! Your collection is awesome. Thanks for bringind OG XBOX games to the topic. You also absolutely need to add midnight 2 and 3 dub edition remix to your collection, cuz it is THE console to play those. PS2 more on a sluggish fps side, especially on midnight 3.
This whole Video was nostalgia overload for me. A friend and I used to play Hunter: The Reckoning in coop multiple times with every character in the game, night after night while eating doritos and drinking coke. Good times!
The cutscenes of the Futurama game are included as a bonus episode on the season 1 DVDs. Also, OG Tron composer Wendy Carlos did the soundtrack for the Tron 2.0 game (and Bruce Boxleitner and Cindy Morgan are in it), so it feels a lot more like a sequel to to the original Tron than legacy did. To me, anyway.
Every time I see a new MJR video posted I get a little spring in my step. I know I'm about to get a healthy dose of positivity and it just brightens my day!
Hey mjr, I will be moving soon, and I have a sealed battalion wars big box variant that includes the controller and game. I’d like it to go to a good home. If interested lmk, only catch is that I’m not willing to ship since the box is so massive and would probably get damaged during transit. I’m in central Cali
Love these throwback videos. Takes me back in time. As you said, Need For Speed Underground series was so good. Such a good platform. A lot of these games still look good today in my opinion.
I love the Xbox systems and games. One of the best RPG's on the original Xbox was Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. I also finally after waiting for 2 years just purchased the Xbox Series X. Would love to see more videos on the current system in the future. Thanks for the video!
Great collection, and a great system to collect for! The prices are still mostly decent. Greetings from a fellow OG Xbox collector, I'm sitting on 660 games at the moment.
My favorite FPS besides halo was oddworld Strangers Wrath. Using live ammo was unique and added a twist most FPS shooters didn't have. I like games where you have ammo that does all the work for you like the little fuzzles in Strangers Wrath or the little robots that fight for you in Ratchet and Clank.
I wouldn't personally remove them, it's almost like a special version. But if you do, I've found out that IPA (isopropyl alcohol) is the best for removing stickers from these plastic Xbox game cases. Just take the paper sleeve, manual and disc out before using it, so they don't get damaged.
As a wise man once said: The sticker makes it sicker, me personally I like a sticker. It shows where it's been.e.g blockbuster or the old price from a shop that doesn't exist anymore.
Brute Force, Fusion Frenzy, Halo and Halo 2, Burnout 3: Takedown, Pariah, Black, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, and so many other great titles! I'll always love OG Xbox.
Yeah those games deserve more love, just the problem being under Midway that got absorbed into WB which never really took full advantage of the fact they own the entire IP library and Catalogue of Midway, let alone everything else WB owns, other than Mortal Kombat which WB has been milking quite dry since the revival they did back in 2011, WB might do more with the Midway IPs if they had new management or is convinced there's potential in what they have is currently dormant.
I love that I can still discover great games to play for this console in the $5-10 range. The backwards compatibility library on game pass is also a great way to play some of these games
I actually only bought my original Xbox this year. Despite no nostalgia (I'd gone with PS2 and GameCube in that era) I've been thoroughly enjoying it, and have become surprisingly attached to it.
Man, Xbox had so many good games! I was a few years late to the party, but when I got it, I easily found myself playing it more than the PS2, and that momentum just carried on when I got the 360 at launch. I'm surprised that I actually have a collection for a console that's larger than yours, lol. I wanted to go for a full US Xbox collection at one point, but after several failed attempts to score Steel Battalion, all hope fell through once that game eclipsed the $600 mark complete (last time I tried, I got outbid last second for a still sealed box at just over $480 - got beat by less than $2!!! 😩) Anyway, I still get games from time to time when I discover one I don't have yet.
A few things: if you like the Buffy game then check out Indiana Jones And The Emperor’s Tomb from the same developer…I think they only created maybe 10 games or so. Also, I’d think that the Fatal Frame games would have been right up your alley. Oh, and that’s a killer Michael Schenker Group album, I’m a big fan.
Jet Set Radio Future was a masterpiece on the original Xbox. The 007 James Bond series were great especially Nightfire and Everything of Nothing. Great collection!
Thanks for showing love to Tron. Criminally underrated franchise. There's no other IP like it. My favorite Tron app is the Arcade Discs of Tron, but I love all the others games like Tron: Battle Grids on the Wii. The lightcycle levels are pretty fun.
Hey MetalJesusRocks, I used to love listening to the All Gen Gamers when you were on there back in the day. I also love collecting for the original Xbox. I've got about 300 games and some really sought after ones like the Fatal Frames and Steel Battalion with the controller and box. 😊
The og xbox is the console I had in that generation. Its library is awesome and the 3rd party games look and play the best on it. A very underrated console.
Brings back some good ole memories with my brother playing Halo 1&2 on Legendary trying to beat them both in one sitting I never owned an Xbox back then he did But a few years ago I got one from a friend and have been collecting for it. After seeing your video I’m definitely gonna try to find several of these games
I was extremely surprised by how good Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was. I would definitely call it a hidden gem. Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat is another fun, colorful, and addictive action/platformer. Give it a shot if you haven't already. Great video MJR. Gen 6 was a special time in gaming.
Man what a blast from the past. I miss those days of publishers putting all kinds of games out, but today all they do is huddle around their one camp fire (game) ready to die on that one franchise. I'm super jelly you have the Mech Warrior full controller 🤩
I have especially Outrun 2 version, Futurama, Chronicles of Riddick, Buffy the Vampire Slayers and of course, Intellivision Lives, Call of Cthulhu and Silent Hill 2 & 4, Indigo Prophecy (aka Fahrenheit),The Suffering and Fallout Brotherhood of Steel 🙂
The two games you're missing is marvel vs capcom 2 and capcom vs snk 2. Those are the 2 2d fighting games u Def need as a collector. Maybe it's a ps2 thing for u, Idk. Xbox versions are in my childhood memories for sure. Mvc2 is definitely a collectors item. I rememeber selling my xbox mvc 2 back to gamestop years later as a teenager and they gave me 40 bucks for it. I was blown away. Now I understand why. Wish I would've kept it, probably would've been worth alot more now. Also, the legacy of kain games were cool. Soul reaver on ps1 was my favorite. Oh and Teo Feng for 3d fighting game. The first game that had limb damage. I think the creators of mortal kombat made it, but don't quote me. I rememeber the commercial showing x ray damage.. And then many years later mortal kombat has x ray moves
Fantastic video, so much nostalgia. My best memories are from original Xbox Live, Mechassault, Rainbow Six 3 and Splinter Cell. Could play those for days.
Oooo, that is a fine collection, Mr. Jesus. I felt like a king as a young teenager having that original Xbox sitting next to my ps2. Those were the days!
In case you were not aware, “Castlemania” is taking pre-orders for the new retro fighter “Hunter” wireless controller for the OG Xbox until 1 April expected to release in Oct. Loving my “Defender” for PS2/3 this past month.
My older brothers had the original Xbox. And I used to play on in also. My first games I had for it were Blinx, Voodo Vince, and I remember my mum got me Sonic heros because I worked really hard at school. 😅 One of my favourite games me and my friends played was Alien Homind. With the level creator. So much fun 😅
i remember before covid i found a crystal xbox in mint condition boxed in a charity shop for £20. ive put so much love into collecting for it mainly because it was cheap and well nobody was in 2018. i kept building and researching about which games to go for. the majority of the 100+ games ive managed to get have been really affordable. now is the time to collect for the original xbox. another reason is to install them on your xbox one x or above. underrated and easy to collect for. i say go for it! Thanks metal jesus for uploading this video. much needed. all the best and keep mashing buttons Willx

I have all the original Xbox games but I don’t play on that console anymore the only way I’ll play those is if Microsoft added achievements
What’s wrong faker you sound salty
What’s wrong you sound salty
I agree he is salty no thanks nobody wants a PS5 from you
Nobody is going to contact you for a PS5 😂
I don’t think he plays for achievements he’s a collector buys just every game he sees even if their trash
Your OG Xbox Collection is amazing!
I thought he was Weird Al
Thanks for showing love to Tron. Criminally underrated franchise. There's no other IP like it. My favorite Tron app is the Arcade Discs of Tron, but I love all the others games like Tron: Battle Grids on the Wii. The lightcycle levels are pretty fun.
I moddedd my og xbox and it makes a great couch coop emulation machine and still plays original Xbox games.
I purchased Darkwatch on clearance for $2 around 2009. It is one of the games I kept and still play from time to time.
Woo Hoo! A new Metal Jesus upload. You, Deer Meat for Dinner, and Blue Gabe are my most-fav TH-camrs.
I appreciate the time it toke for you to pull all that out and put it back just for this video! :)
Such a well made video! thanks MJR!
Legit use this to unlock old game memories I can't recall the name of
man you are my favorite youtuber, all your vids are so fun to watch and you put so much work into making them a joy to watch. another banger!
Brings back some good ole memories with my brother playing Halo 1&2 on Legendary trying to beat them both in one sitting I never owned an Xbox back then he did But a few years ago I got one from a friend and have been collecting for it. After seeing your video I’m definitely gonna try to find several of these games
LA was pretty accurate ine True Crime: Streets of LA... I could drive around all the streets I knew, and even see the same "stores".
Thank you! I'm currently collecting for the original Xbox and this video helps a lot.
Metal arms Glitch in the system was a very unique experience! I have some fond memories of that game c:
I was extremely surprised by how good Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy was. I would definitely call it a hidden gem. Pirates: The Legend of Black Kat is another fun, colorful, and addictive action/platformer. Give it a shot if you haven't already. Great video MJR. Gen 6 was a special time in gaming.
I loved all the mech games. From Gun Metal and Battle Engine Aquila to MechAssault and Steel Battalion. What a great time to be a giant robot.
Ooh. I have Outrun Coast to Coast. Didn’t realise it was worth anything. Always good to find out.
lol
Always good to see a new MJ vid - love that you keep making these!
For the James Bond games, according to Sean Connery's IMDB page, From Russia with Love for the Xbox is among the last few roles he did.
Almost there, Share this guy. Mention this channel in groups, Let's get him to 1million subs!!!!
I Am Impressed by your collection, have 63 games right now and still growing but mostly going for games which I enjoy to play from my childhood.
The OG Xbox is a fantastic system to collect for - still some bargains to be had and the consoles can be picked up pretty inexpensively too!
I loved Freedom Fighters. The multiplayer was so much fun too
Fantastic video, so much nostalgia.
@metaljesusrocksofficial oh stop it, you're not getting money or information from me. Im broke, your efforts will go nowhere lol
In case you were not aware, “Castlemania” is taking pre-orders for the new retro fighter “Hunter” wireless controller for the OG Xbox until 1 April expected to release in Oct. Loving my “Defender” for PS2/3 this past month.
The little clip of freedom fighters in the intro made my day. One of my favorite ps2 games
Fantastic collection! I love Metal Wolf Chaos, that game is just absolute bonkers and I can't get enough of it haha
OG Xbox fan for life over here. Seamus Blackley is a national treasure for getting this into our hands.
King fu chaos and whacked were my favorites for the console. The “commercials” in whacked were on another level haha
i remember before covid i found a crystal xbox in mint condition boxed in a charity shop for £20.
ive put so much love into collecting for it mainly because it was cheap and well nobody was in 2018. i kept building and researching about which games to go for.
the majority of the 100+ games ive managed to get have been really affordable.
now is the time to collect for the original xbox. another reason is to install them on your xbox one x or above.
underrated and easy to collect for. i say go for it!
Thanks metal jesus for uploading this video.
much needed.
all the best and keep mashing buttons
Willx
Nice to see this 👍 I sold my 350+ pal game collection recently - kept my 2 copies of the steel battalion and the controller
I still rock my original Big Guy in 2024! The original xbox library is timeless. Graphics are still great being 20 years old. Cool vid.
PLOK made it to your INTRO!!!! YEAH!!!!
