  • Here is my entire original XBOX game collection. So many great games including popular, uncommon and expensive games plus hidden gems and more! The good news is most XBOX games are dirt cheap under $10 and still a ton of fun to play! What are some of your best original XBOX memories? Do you still have one?

I’m one of the developers on Black. It was fun to work on that at the time, although hard work! We did a lot of optimisation. I think it looked good on PS2, but Xbox was the definitive place to play it.

Yeah Darkwatch is really fun and the controls are closer to the modern shooter controller configuration so it’s really easy to go back and play. It’s a pretty good looking game for the time and if you have a modded Xbox, you can play it in 480p.

    • @bobafett4265
      @bobafett4265 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I would love it if Dark Watch came back man, a remaster would make many people's day and also sell better too, not to mention more recently a game that had a similar setting vibes to Dark Watch being Evil West where it's third person Doom and you go out in a Western setting brutally taking out demons and monsters in the most Boomer Shooter way given, as in Rip and Tear, either way the fact that a new game got made with some possible inspiration from the Cult Classic FPS does give some hope a remaster might be on the horizon.

Not sure if you have these but I'd recommend adding the following to your collection.
NBA street volume 2 and NHL Hitz(any of them). These are very arcadey sports games. I'm not much of a sports fan at all but I have a blast with these. They also both have wicked soundtracks
Def Jam fight for New York. It's a bit on the pricey end but it's one of the most unique fighters. It's fairly heavily wrestling inspired and made by Aki( the devs of all the great N64 wrestling games)
Urban chaos riot response: before Rocksteady became world renowned for their Arkham games they made this little FPS gem. What seperates it from most other shooters is it's amazing riot shield.
Advent rising: a very ambitious albeit buggy third person shooter. It has a very interesting aiming mechanic that uses a flick of the thumbstick to lock on.
Hulk ultimate destruction: probably my favorite superhero game of all time and the best version is on Xbox
Gunvalkyrie: another Sega exclusive with a very quirky control scheme that becomes a blast once you get used to it
Nightmare before Christmas Oogies revenge: a really odd licensed game that is surprisingly well polished for a budget title.
Tony hawk pro skater 2x: it has some exclusives over other versions of the game and includes THPS 1 levels as well.
Metal slug 3: It isn't just a straight arcade port and has a couple exclusives not found anywhere else

Man, Xbox had so many good games! I was a few years late to the party, but when I got it, I easily found myself playing it more than the PS2, and that momentum just carried on when I got the 360 at launch. I'm surprised that I actually have a collection for a console that's larger than yours, lol. I wanted to go for a full US Xbox collection at one point, but after several failed attempts to score Steel Battalion, all hope fell through once that game eclipsed the $600 mark complete (last time I tried, I got outbid last second for a still sealed box at just over $480 - got beat by less than $2!!! 😩) Anyway, I still get games from time to time when I discover one I don't have yet.

Hey mjr, I will be moving soon, and I have a sealed battalion wars big box variant that includes the controller and game. I’d like it to go to a good home. If interested lmk, only catch is that I’m not willing to ship since the box is so massive and would probably get damaged during transit. I’m in central Cali

A few things: if you like the Buffy game then check out Indiana Jones And The Emperor’s Tomb from the same developer…I think they only created maybe 10 games or so. Also, I’d think that the Fatal Frame games would have been right up your alley. Oh, and that’s a killer Michael Schenker Group album, I’m a big fan.

First time I played an ogxbox, we played the 1st Halo all night until we finished it. I never was really a gamer, but years later I acquired a couple of ogxbox's and softmodded it a few years ago. I loaded my entire music collection on it, now I use it as a jukebox on the xbmc frontend. I've placed all the emulators on it which it emulates the old systems faithfully. I really haven't had so much fun with a console since I got a vectrex. So I have to give props, even though I don't want to, to Bill Gates for sticking with it. Thanks M.J. for the love you give to this overlooked system as well as your love for the Vectrex. Metal and video games, you kick ass man

Thanks for showing love to Tron. Criminally underrated franchise. There's no other IP like it. My favorite Tron app is the Arcade Discs of Tron, but I love all the others games like Tron: Battle Grids on the Wii. The lightcycle levels are pretty fun.

I played SCARFACE for a year straight, everyday, to get 100% completion. Word has it, the gent that voiced Tony Montana was approved by Al Pacino. And he was spot on. (Sounded exactly like A.P.) Pacino was offered the voiceover work, but felt he was too old.
I highly, HIGHLY recommend this game!!

i remember before covid i found a crystal xbox in mint condition boxed in a charity shop for £20.
ive put so much love into collecting for it mainly because it was cheap and well nobody was in 2018. i kept building and researching about which games to go for.
the majority of the 100+ games ive managed to get have been really affordable.
now is the time to collect for the original xbox. another reason is to install them on your xbox one x or above.
underrated and easy to collect for. i say go for it!
Thanks metal jesus for uploading this video.
    much needed.
all the best and keep mashing buttons

I had both a PS2 & and Xbox, but a lot of the multiplatform games in your video i owned on PS2 as a lot came to it first, or i was young & couldn't afford to double dip or see the appeal of it unless the game ran terribly on PS2. Terminator 3 Redemption was a good game if i remember right, at least, much better than i thought it would be.

What a generation. I’d give anything to go back and experience it again. I’d get off school, beg my dad to take me to blockbuster or family video, and I’d just browse the games until I found one and then game all night. Those were the days.
