Moved out of the area in '97. Back then, I heard I-287 was supposed to cut through a mountain just west of where the Ford plant used to be. Quite a rock to cut through if that what happened.

The first part of this video seems very familiar. Ringwood Ave. Like Yogi Berra used to say: Deja vu all over again. I-287 didn't exist in Wanaque when I lived there. I-287 was in existence in Somerset and Middlesex counties then ended somewhere in the area south of Morristown. I-287 was under construction from south of Morristown to Boonton. This was in 1969-1970. At that time, I lived in Kinnelon, near State Highway 23 and Boonton Ave.

I just love watching what is going on in my old back yard. I had moved away when I 287 was completed. I was so glad when it was, finally completed, now my trip home is so much more coinvent.
Side note, would it be possible to identify the side roads you are driving on? Some of them look so familiar, sure would be nice to follow along. Thanks

Your right, I should have identified the roads, next time I will. But that initial local road was Ringwood Av. Thanks for watching!
