In the summer 2019 in looks just like those ghost town now in the middle of coronavirus outbreak... Hopefully some day it will get back to life...

Gives it some character. Maybe a beach in the islands, I would agree. But not AC 🤣 if there's any place like that in NJ its ocean city, wildwood or cape may. Def not AC lol

I use to live there when I lived in NJ. It was my first city in America. I always loved the diversity throughout the county, how you can hear so many languages in one place and experience different cultures the more you make friends with the locals. The food is also great, especially the Italian foods. I just hope to see Atlantic County thrive in the future and diversify its industries rather than just depend on the casino industry. I think Stockton College having a branch campus downtown was a step in the right direction.

Yup. They desperately need to diversify. As I said elsewhere, the main issue is expendable income. The whole city needs to sell itself as a vacation spot, not just gambling spot. And to do so, they need to clean up crime and renovate the casinos. The two profitable casinos in 2023 and 2024 are Hard Rock (#1) and Ocean (#2). And both are BEAUTIFUL inside and out.
It'd be cool to see some sort of stadium there. Copy Florida. Hell they have 3 NFL teams alone 😂. Get some of that fun up here.

I think it being on a small coastal island also limits the city's potential a bit. The rigid zoning as a result limits it more.

Nice footage, but it's not current. It's from summer. The beach bars are open. You can see the plan trees set up at Bungalow beach bar. They are only there in the summer. Rented umbrellas on the beach. Umbrellas set up around the pools.

Quiet . . . in A.C., complements of coronavirus - no hotel, or casinos ! However, an option always movin is the Atlantic City Homeless Shelter, located behind Convention Center internal parking lot exit. At worst, you'll get a 'slab of floor' to sleep on. Edibles for breakfast, too !

Hmm... something is fishy with this video and description 🤔. I live here and the summer of 2019 was not that empty. You can see in the footage that the Brigantine beach across the inlet is empty as well so if this really is middle of summer it must be at a really odd time.

Ok well this clip is part lies because you will see trams driving on boards and few of them. They are not running. There is quite a bit of people on beach in clip. Also few different shots clearly show a normal AC this time of year. This city is actually not as dead as this clip. I live and work here.

Man, if this was a Canadian city, it would be paradise. I say this cause I live in the beautiful city of Montreal, heavily populated, it's an island with NO BEACHES...yup, an island but you cannot swim in the water. Atlantic city has so much potential based on it's location. I remember visiting in 2005, I had a great time to be honest. But I do remember seeing the very poor areas too. The hotels don't share the wealth. And now with covid, I can only imagine how bad it is. As soon as this thing is over, I'll take my kids and visit famous boardwalk. Greetings from Canada.

Atlantic City's marketing team needs to see this video -- the collateral they produce has always been (for years) so cheesy and poorly directed/shot. This video is an example of how to show off a downtrodden but hopeful city like AC! Well done!

A good amount of this video is not from 2 days ago, shows rented beach umbrellas at the end shows the tram running and can see the umbrellas on the outside restaurants also not that many people on the beach I've been on the boards everyday since this started
