I am from the Netherlands working for a contractor as a mechanic, I do a lot of the heavy machinery there and use only Gedore tools and i have to say, you only break it when you use it in the wrong way, you just can't go wrong and like Cam said it all feels nice in hand!
Good to see the epiroc T-shirt on! I view from uk and work as a field service tec for epiroc! Gedore has a big presence in uk mainly a go too for the bigger sized spammers and sockets for me
Hey Cam and crew! How cool of you guys to visit Europe! I just recently found your channel and I must say I really like your content. Thanks for your effort and keep up the good work!
Came across the channel a month ago and wanted to express how much I’ve enjoyed the content and your personality Cam. The rest of the team is pretty awesome also.
@@Bdigital9482 On a ratchet back drag is the amount of resistance the tool takes to pass over the teeth. This is bad because high back drag will turn the bolt instead of ratcheting which means the bolt turns in the opposite way the tool has been set to go. Tooth count is how many teeth are inside the ratchet. The lower the tooth count the less dead turn (The unused arc swing the tool takes to engage the next tooth) so that means you have to swing the tool a lesser amount of times to take a bolt in or out on a ratchet with a higher tooth count. Hope this helps clarify.
I used to work on leopard tanks (german made vehicles) and the torque wrenches that we used were of this kind. When you are in the field and you need your tool to perform 100% of the time this is the design you need. You can't get more heavy duty and reliable than this.
Seeing these Gedore wrenches is like looking at an F-1 car compared to what we are using in the field now. The Gedore impact torque wrench was unreal. I wonder if they have stuff for measuring bolts stretch?
Only have the 6V-6080 Cat Multiplier, it's a beast, but cumbersome. Hytorc has similar battery powered torque wrenches, brilliant for changing track pads, if they go high enough.
Gedore makes pretty much all you can think of regarding tools they even have a DIY brand Gedore red. I my self DIY guy have some stuff from them, my mobile tool bag is mostly gedore hand tools and so far i am satisfied with quality and performance. For me Gedore is on of the top what the tools concerning. Also never pay the shining chrome meme tax... are you buying tools to work with them or look at them ?

Awesome! Thank you!
After doing this for a while, high back drag and low tooth counts are my biggest pet peeves when it comes to tools
What’s that mean? Serious question

@@walkersullivan6201 I found Gearwrench xp120 to be pretty good at both.
Price wasn't too bad either for a 4pc set 1/4"-1/2"
@@Tmjpwns I do like the Gearwrench ratchets for the price. I have a 1/2 one I really like but the rest I have are Snap on & Matco

Gedore is Way better than snap on, snap on torque wrench are bahco, just the head is snap on

Batteries don't last long enough on the road guns to make it viable yet compared to the air ones for track jobs unfortunately from what I've seen.
I have the RAD 3/4 and the 1" air torque multipliers, what a Awsome tool, for everything tracks, master pads, they save so much time, and the back😂
I am from Austria i love gedore tools almost only use gedore for heavy equipment you cant beat them 👍👍
which one's your favourite and the one you'd recommend?
@@TekamoHD sockets wrenches impact sockets and there torque wrenches are awesome also pipe wrenches
Great video amazing technology from the Germans.
Because of this video I bought one of their bad boys aluminum body torque wrenches today.
ya gotta let us know how it treats ya
Rocking an Epiroc shirt good deal
What is that ‘lever’ thing for on the electric tools shown at the end? I don’t see it doing anything when they tighten the bolts.
“That’s a big unit.” I’ve heard that phrase a few times myself.
Interesting to see their cordless tools running of Ridgid/AEG batteries.
Cam needs to be an R&D tester for them

Would love to get into the industry but refuse to want to work at the dealer level where I’m at. Other than that there’s no where to learn
I work oil and gas fittings with that fixed torque; u have NO ratchet; spending hours nonsense and an incredible amount of bolts u can’t even torque.
:O
Real mechanics must have full time grid and grime in their finger nails. If your fingers are clean your not a real mechanic
