I remember once saying to my mechanic that I was going to buy a second hand car that had done 200,000 miles. But it had recently had a brand new engine fitted, so it would be fine. My mechanic looked at me and said "Your problem will be that the rest of the car will still have done 200,000 miles". Your problems are ongoing and really you should sell Clementine and look for a 2010 model RV. Spend your time traveling, rather than fixing.
With Clementine, you will always be able to make some sweet lemonade when she gives you lemons. Turning her into an Airb&b would be pretty awesome, and the old girl could make you some scratch! We had a class C when I was a kid in the 70s, and it broke down ALL the time, even though it was pretty new back then. Afraid to say it but you will probably have nothing but LOTS more problems, especially on a trip as long as a 50 stater. She’s just to old, and too hard to keep running. Most RVs, even the new ones like you’ve shown, are not built to last, and they don’t. Would love to see you restore a vintage travel trailer someday! Go with an Airstream, those WERE built to last!! Love your vlog!!
I'm so sorry guys. I have a feeling you've been the victims of incompetent and possibly, unscrupulous repair shops. A competent, knowledgeable, and honest mechanic, would have had all those needs taken care of in a visit or two. There's no reason you should have to keep returning Clementine for more repairs or uncompleted work. Best of luck going forward and love your channel!
The sad truth is that engine swaps have a reputation of acting like this. That's why people immediately sell their cars afterwards. I did an engine swap on an old buick about 20 years ago for $700. It ran, but never as well as it did originally. They probably would've been better off rebuilding the original chevy motor that was in it.
I really feel like the moment Eric said that they were supposed to return Clementine back to the repair shop for an engine adjustment after a short burn-in of the new engine (set number of miles) and they did not do this that this would mean major problems from that point onward. Perhaps Eric did not hear them say this or who knows what the miscommunication was. Nonetheless I don't think you can put sole blame on the mechanics here. Yes, it's unfortunate this happened. But Eric needs to take responsibility for some of this.
@@eg1885 My hubby had the engine on my beloved Aerostar replaced after the first engine hit 100k miles. The Aerostar ran great with the new engine. No issues. Had it for years longer. Hated parting with that van.
I wonder if this will ever be seen, but here is a crazy out of the box concept. What if this could be turned into a travel trailer. They would need a truck to tow it, but here me out. If you take out all the "vehicle" components such as the engine, transmission, dashboard and steering wheel, front seats, wheels and even the front doors. Then mount the body onto a trailer bed, fabricate siding to cover the front doors and wheel wells, and you could put a dinette where the dashboard and front seats were at. Some fabrication and work, and Clementine could be a travel trailer
Your little transition at the intro where she turned the camera upside down literally cracked me up. 🤣 if I was a multi-millionaire I would pay to have a new motor for you kids, you are two of the most genuine TH-camrs I have the pleasure of watching each week and it kills me that you don't get to live your dream in that RV after all the work you put into it. Sending good vibes your way 🤞
Two of the sweetest people on earth who deserve so much better luck with their adventures. We have watched them forever and as 70+ somebodies we love them like our own grown children 😎💖 No matter what we are following you two forever and wish good fortune for your next adventures. Yes your adventures are ENDLESS !!!! and we love you for them. Hugs and Kisses from Loni & Al
We want you on the road! My husband and I adore you! It’s the humbleness and the authenticity! You aren’t acting or scripted! Just real! That’s what we love!
Guys! You had the PERFECT opportunity at the car show to talk with old school gearheads! They LOVE to gtg and diagnose things like that. I'm almost positive they would have figured it out and also hooked you up with someone who knows those engines and could fix it with their eyes closed and one arm behind their back. That car show was full of people that know engines inside and out. I wish you would've made a separate post of Clementine's newest issue before deciding to ship it to Chicago to let us give you some suggestions. I'm surprised you have to pay for them to diagnose it. That engine isn't under warranty with that repair shop still? If they didn't do it right the first time, or second time, etc. I personally wouldn't trust them to get it right with another attempt.
I put a quarter million miles on a mid 70's 350.... with almost nothing other than routine maintenance. Granted carbs and ignition parts from that era are long in the tooth, but old school car guys will know what is good for show, what is go for go, and what is going to be the most bulletproof. They will also know what is mission critical from an installation and ongoing service point of view to avoid the specialty hot rod scenario where only a single shop has the knowledge to work on the specific set of components chosen.
I feel for these guys. The mechanics they're taking it to are telling them they can't work on it and it needs to go back to Chicago. If memory serves, that shop took forever the first time around. I would not want to take it back there. I have to say, I'm totally shocked that they couldn't find someone local to fix it. Even with these new EFI's, the 350 is about as basic as it gets. This isn't some exotic v5 euro-diesel.
@@applebutter4036 I feel for them too. I bought a 2006 motorhome and waited until I found a Chevy (definitely harder to come by) because I'm familiar with working on them, I've had several Camaros and a WS6 TransAm. I went to many races and car shows, hung out with F-body people. I'm not sure who is giving them advice like towing it to Chicago, but I know its hard to figure out what to do when you're not familiar with cars. I hope they start taking Ruby to more car shows in hopes of becoming friends with the car scene people, it really helps having friends like that. It could save you lots of money if you don't work on your own vehicles.
OMG!! I agree. That must be the most common vintage motor out there. There are likely more mechanics that can work on that than the new ones. It is probably something as simple as a bad plug wire or something. The car show would have been the perfect place to find info on a mobile mechanic at least. I hate seeing you guys taken advantage of. Don;t give up on the Chevy. You just need a better mechanic.
My 1979 mini Winnie blew her engine on her maiden voyage after having spent 1200 to get her fixed. I had to have her towed from South Carolina to Virginia. I have been living in her of and on for years even though she isn't road worthy. Good luck with Clementine! Don't give up!
The Travel Beans are in Michigan picking up their new campervan. Drive Ruby up there and do tent or cabin camping for two weeks in the Upper peninsula with them, while Clementine is being fixed. Then you can continue on from there with traveling the states together, as originally planned!
@@Theendlessadventure It's the perfect plan. You can all find a camp ground in the upper peninsula where it is cool. You can stay in a tent or maybe find a cabin. It is beautiful in that area, and there is a lot to do. The weather will be cool in the 70s. When Clementine is done, Michigan is not far from the Chicago area, go pick her up, and carry on with your original plans of all four of you all traveling together from state to state. If you all go east through Ohio, and Pennsylvania, you would then end up in New England states to finally experience the fall colors, and then end up in Maine to get lobster right on the docks, and go see Mount Desert Island, Arcadia National park to see the whales. Once done with New England, as the temperature starts to get too cool, head south to the warmer states.
@@Jhawkkat Exactly! There is cool forest, no more being too hot, Mackinac island, sleeping bear dunes, the crystal clear blue water of the great lakes, Arch rock, waterfalls, fishing villages, stunning scenery, and so much more. I hope they do it. Everything will come together.
@@Theendlessadventure YES! I was thinking the same thoughts. BUT your troubles with camper does point out that a trailer makes a lot more sense for RVing. Did you catch Kara and Nate's post today on their Orient Express travel. SIMPLY INSANE!
You guys are such Truppers , I am so proud of both of you . Hang in their we are all here for you , keep on keep on wine on me in Florida when you get hear love you guys 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 oh and Congratulations Ruby 🚘
Was an RVer for over 40 years and know the joys and heartaches. Even managed an RV resort for a few seasons. Was full time until a hurricane ate everything and discovered that my ex didn’t pay the insurance premium. Against all odds have been rooting for you and still am. Clementine is an old girl and your travel goals are very ambitious for a newborn. 48 states in two years is sprinting a marathon. Not only is she going to need to be pampered, but you are going to miss out on a lot because you are touching base with little to do the kind of exploration that you consistently do. There are multiple solutions. There are experienced people in most campgrounds and resorts. There are “work campers” in many of them. Talk and think, talk and think, rinse and repeat. You might want to take shorter hops and literally check her over completely at the end of each hop. We tried to keep evey leg under 250 miles and usually had to tweak something every time we stopped. You might want to aim for numbers that are considerably below capacities You have an awful lot of options as long as you stay objective and flexible. One suggestion might be once the engine mechanic is done with Clementine you might want to take her to a large full service RV dealership and ask them to do a full checkup and recommendations. They are specialized for the same reason that you don’t take Ruby to a motorcycle dealership for a tuneup. Good luck 👍. Hope that things work out satisfactorily.
I am an ASE master mechanic. I owned my own repair shop for 35 years. My wife and I enjoy watching you guys and are sad to see you guys having so much troubles. With that being said my suggestion is to remove that fuel injection system an put a carburetor back on. You are already seeing no one knows how to work on those aftermarket systems. You will go broke towing it back to Chicago to get it fixed. What will you do if it breaks down on the other side of the country. Put it back to stock then anybody can fix. Good luck!we will be watching
At some point you’re going to have to decide when enough is enough. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense to keep putting money into it. With the amount of money you’re putting into the RV you might want to think about buying a much much newer Camper trailer. I would probably think a 5th wheel or something you can pull. Just a thought guys🥰🇨🇦 Put a tow package on the Durango it’s cheaper than fixing the RV
So Sorry about Clementine. Hopefully they can get her fixed soon. I know you said that you are looking into other RVs but would you think about do more International travel while you wait 🤔 Whatever you decide I'm sure it will be an Adventure
Take that gorgeous wife back on an overseas adventure. She is so very game, and an absolute doll for sanding, drilling and always smiling, but we want to see you guys exploring al the places we dream about.
Alternative plan: park Clenentine somewhere where she won't run away or get rusty. Then buy (hire, borrow) a not-too-large caravan, a tow vehicle, and hit the road again! Doesn't matter if it takes some time, there's no rush and your audience won't run away. ...Having watched the vid to the end I see that this plan has crossed your minds as well. But of course giving such advice from the comfort of my armchair is easier than actually doing it. Good luck with the repairs!
Honestly, you two were very optimistic to do one state per week! the best part of adventuring is to let go of what you cant control...always have a ton of options...as far as where to visit and stay in the event you have trouble. this is still very entertaining hahaha so sorry to rub that in! you guys are AWESOME!!!! hang tough fam xoxo
I really hope you do something fun in Missouri while your stuck! You guys definitely glass half full people and I love it 🥰 I’m also from/living there. If your near Columbia I’d be happy to take you around
The engine you put in your rv is a 383, and needs a specific harmonic balancer from a 400 sbc I believe. If you used one original to the vehicle, or a newer one for a 350 it could be causing the off balance issue.
Loving the fact you got a trophy for Ruby. Doesn't matter that you were only one of two, hold your heads high! I once got a gold medal for my car in a national event and I was literally the only car in the category. We were very excited. The judges, not so much. Did we care, heck no!
Dont give up on your RV , it is a beautiful classic , it seems whenever you mix a little new tech with old or rebuild something there is some bugs to get worked out but once you do she will be the cats meow . I love that you put Ruby in the car show and it isnt silly it is much deserving of being the show and winning its another beautiful classic , I envy you two you have great taste , anyhow best wishes that Clementine is up and running soon.
There's an old saying that originates with boats, but I think it will translate: the happiest two days of an RVer's life are the day the RV is purchased and the day it is sold. Hope things get better!
All the work they did to make Clementine incredibly beautiful, I wish they could have installed a new engine. Maybe that’s still something to consider?
so sorry your broke down again, i just wanted to say don't give up, my family had a 1977 GMC vaquero that we used for summer and winter vacations for years and made wonderful memories driving all around the us. we even drove right through your neck of the woods to see relitives in Kennett Mo. twice a year. Don't give up it will get better love your channel
I know its late now, but that old engine, although rebuilt.... is always going to give you issues. I would highly recommend looking into installing a LS engine, like what would come in a 2500 Chevy truck. Should be a 6.0 liter engine, and you can put a 4L80E transmission in it, and then you will have overdrive as well.
@@nujayfabrication8089 Yeah exactly. Only the initial cost would be more expensive but after you take out the break down repairs, towing fees, time off the road renting something else, it's cheaper in the long run. They went for the cheaper option which when you're spending big money is totally understandable, but not being car people as they've admitted they didn't have the knowledge to make the best decision. Updating with modern equipment is always a better option.
An LS would be a huge bill. More than the RV is worth. The engine and 4L80E plus computer plus the extra labor to fabricate the mounts, new drive shaft, exhaust, bigger radiator, etc. The answer WAS a new crate engine. Have the transmission rebuilt and upgrade to a HEI. Every bolt on part is available everywhere and any shop in North America can work on it. Any half witted nincompoop can fix alot of the things you'd run into with basic tools. These two have no sense. I have a 1974 GMC witha a crate 350 tied to a 350TH I just had rebuilt for $950.00 with a 2 year warranty. I can replace the alternator in ten minutes, wp in 30 minutes fuel pump in 10 minutes. Of course vans would take longer than a pickup but the idea is the same.
We feel so bad for you guys because you’ve put your heart & soul into Clementine. What’s the saying… “Count your blessings, not your stresses”. Pack your bags & head to Europe!! Relax, regroup and deal with everything when you get back!! Sylvana xx
Honestly you should seek out rv sponsorships. There’s definitely local rvs in Missouri! Lots in northern Indiana too. I’d reach out! Coachman, crossroads, forest river, etc.
Get a reese hitch installed for your Durango and just find a decent pop-up trailer or a conventional trailer. A Durango can tow over 6000lbs and the average 18ft trailer or pop-up weights about 2000lbs, I would say a pop up is easier to pull and cost less, reese hitches don't cost too much to install.
You must have thrown a lot of money into that RV and my best guess is almost the value of a new/used a little bit more modern RV. From all the videos since you got the RV I have enjoyed your videos but the RV has nothing been an headache.
I also enjoyed watching and really commend them for all of the hard work. But as this money pit progressed I continued to have a bad feeling about how it would turn out. Asking a lot out of an older vehicle. Not like buying a classic car to rebuild and just trailer to car shows or do a Sunday drive with. Might have been better and safer to just buy something newer.
@@imissmayberry12 With their plans for towing and the added weight that could be a problem. Seems like the upgraded engine with tuning issues could again bite them down the road. I hope everything works out for them.
I wrote to you before with no response . I'll tell you one more time .....number one , your working with a tired engine . Don't expect much from it . Surprised it still runs . Anytime you add stress to a tired engine like with engine air , it's going to act up or crap out . This thing is going to dollar y'all to death ! If you have roof air , just get a 2500 to a 3000 watt generator and hang it on the bumper . Do the wiring yourself , it's easy . And your going to freeze inside . And answer me so I know you read this . Good luck !
I am so sorry! But Clementine will be great when she comes back to you! Please don’t give up on her. You have built a real Beauty and she needs to be shown off.
I really like your idea of Airbnb(ing) Clementine as it would give people who are thinking of living out of a van but unsure if living in such a small space would work for them a chance to experience it....just without moving it of course! Good luck with everything.
Oh guys I am so sorry to hear that! How darn frustrating! We love you. I must confess Hubby and I found you during c-19 and you helped to realize that life does go on. HUGS
Maybe getting a plot of land and parking Clementine would be a good idea. That way she’ll be living her best life, and you can still enjoy her. And AirB&Bing her will get your money back and then some.
Oh, I'm so disappointed this happened to you guys. 😔 I hope this mechanic knows you have 554K TH-cam subscribers and 10 of 1000s watching and waiting to see what happens next. Of course you know they need to fix Clementine right or give you your money back. The best to you. Can't wait to see what good things are ahead for you two and Clementine and Ruby. Go Ruby!
The original guy who tuned the computer should have been able to email you the tuning file, and you could have uploaded it yourself if you have the programmer module that plugs into it. That's one of the benefits of having a tuner, the tuner or even the manufacturer can send you the tune file, and you just load it into the vehicle.
Well done for the trophy for Ruby regardless of entry numbers. Keep going guys and your luck will change very soon. I believe!! Long Live Clementine!!!
Good luck to you two from Norway. Let's hope Clementine gets fixed into the best shape ever. The plan you have to visit every state in the US is ambitious, and interesting to follow. I wish you all the best and the luck towards the goal.
Trust me I understand. I'm not sure I can call Nightmare a "vintage" rv yet, but ours is giving us troubles as well. At least we're still at home base in Texas so that I can figure it all out. I'm a retired mechanic and engineer, so I can fix what ever I have to (most of the time) but I understand the frustration. Good luck with Clementine, I wish we were closer, I'd be more than happy to help out. I should be uploading the next mis-adventure tonight or tomorrow...
That being a Chevy, worst case scenario is you have to buy a crate engine from. Chevrolet and put a Holley Sniper EFI on it. It's a little expensive but then you would have a 3 year warranty on the engine and the Holkey has a self learning computer built in. So, Clementine is not a lost cause.
Keep the faith, you two! I know it must feel like e gut punch right now but hopefully it will come together and you'll be back on the Endless Adventure! Take care!
I am so sorry y'all are having so many issues with Clementine. I am praying for y'all as you make your decisions...I know they are not easy ones to make. Hopefully, the guy in Chicago will stand behind his work and have you back on the road sooner than you think. Love from SC, Jane ❤🙏
I admire you two for staying so upbeat and positive. I know that had to be hard when everything keeps going wrong with Clementine's engine. Hopefully they can fix it properly this time and you will be good to go. It's so beautiful inside and really would love to see you two get a lot more use out of it before you retire it to a b&b. Sending you both more positive vibes 🙌
Heartbroken for your setbacks once again Eric and Allison. But we are with you. And will continue to watch and hope to see you back with Clementine soon!
Heres the good news. It sounds like the issue is knowlege, not actual engine failure. Find an EXPERT on the ECT. You may want to try and reach out to fellow YTBers that do renovation stuff for advice. (Chris from B is for Build or Tavarish might be good ones) It was somewhat I was afraid of when I saw how much work you were putting into the interior, but that is water over th damn. GL.
I'm sorry to hear this about further engine problems with Clementine! You have put so much work into it .I do hope it all works out so you can continue your adventures with her.
I appreciate that you tell the bad along with the good. If you don't disclose the bad, your subscribers will think that its all smooth sailing. "Hey, I can buy an old coach and travel across the US" It all sounds so idyllic, but it's not reality. Thanks for sharing it ALL!
Oh noooo! Poor Clementine, and poor you guys! ☹️ I'm so sorry that there are so many bumps in the road, but I'm optimistic that you'll find a way to keep going ✌️
I feel for you guys. After all of the work on Clementine, it is such a shame she is still not working properly. I’m thinking it’s a good idea to make her a very lovely air bnb. Then, maybe you can buy a more reliable, newer class c or class b to travel in so that you can realize your travel plans. It will be so nice for you guys to be out there in the coming fall weather. I was looking forward to your food stops throughout the country.
Getting the original installer to make it right is no doubt the best answer, but I would have asked around at the car show. Bet you could find a hot rod shop that knows small block chevys and EFI retrofits like the back of his hand.
I swear to God I am SO heartbroken for you both. This is unbelievable, the things you've been through. You can't catch a break to save your lives. This HAS to end soon, doesn't it?!
Dont give up, its totally worth the wait. I have one similar to urs and absolutely love it and love working on it. My kids talk about the adventures theyve had and will have in it in their time when im gone and those memories of just working on it,struggling and resolving the issues is what counts the most. I absolutly love my Chevy Freeport and will never see it with any other family.
I wish I had a solution for y’all. I admire your attitude though, frustrated and sad but upbeat and persevering. You are a great couple, and I hope it works out well for Clementine.
I really feel like the moment Eric said that they were supposed to return Clementine back to the repair shop for an engine adjustment after a short burn-in of the new engine (set number of miles) and they did not do this that this would mean major problems from that point onward. So sad! RVing has stress no matter the age of the vehicle but this is just so discouraging! And RV life is also full of adventure and I’ve loved that you’ve been able to get your feet wet with it.
Love you guys! You have the best attitudes, I sure wish we could find you someone who can get Clementine running right. Sending positive vibes from Canada xo
Guys, your Durango can totally tow. Even without a tow package. A tow bar and hitch might cost $200-$250. Easy to install. Bolt holes are already in the frame. Bet there is a connection for a trailer brake and lights hidden somewhere in the cargo area as well. It’s not a difficult job. I did it on my Wife’s Acura RDX. The only other things a tow package usually includes is maybe a trans cooler and better cooling on the differential. But so long as you keep the weight towed reasonable, that’s not a big deal. Your Durango is plenty capable of towing without a tow package.
I’m so sorry y’all are having to go through this! My motto is everything works out for the best. Admittedly, that’s hard to see now, but at some point you will. Love your videos and even the jokes! Thanks for the update!
My limit on buying used things is 2-3 years old. Much past that you start running into issues that eat into the money you were trying to save in the first place. In my opinion this rule is especially true with cars. 👀
Congratulations on your win. I think you underestimate your cute car! I feel so bad for you guys. This is crazy! I give you guys kudos. You have been through a lot. But you have great attitudes!
Congrats guys on first place! The airbnb idea is actually really good. Lol your half a million fans would probably be willing to stay there. You guys could continue 50 state in airbnbs or if you can borrow someone's trailer that is a good idea too. Hopefully they can fix clementine. Good luck!
Aww poor Clementine, praying that you guys are able to get her going soon! You’ve been through so much! It seriously makes me re-think the wisdom of taking mine to the mechanic instead of just towing it out to my property, living in it and just slowly working on it over time with no pressure to get it mobile. Would so nice to be able to drive it though! Ugh totally relate.
Hi Alison and Eric. Norman and I feel your pain. We bought a 1977 Bedford with a Starcraft build on the back and have ploughed thousands and thousands of dollars into her. She is called "The Beast". Just when you think there is nothing left to fix she misbehaves again. She also seems to have a love affair with the RACQ (We are in Australia) Like you we have invested a lot of time, energy and money, so much so it would be hard to part with her. The upside is, and I am sure you can relate to this, everywhere we go we get stopped for photos or a chat. She is a star attraction! Chins up. Think about how much Clementine has changed your life and many others , including us. The enthusiasm and hard work that you have display has encourage many people to have a go themselves. Clementine has cost you money, however she also earns her keep. Best of all your life is never boring.
Oh, you guys! I have up on camper life after 3 months and 4 mishaps. Goodnluck, and consider whether n you want to throw good.money after bad. You have my full empathy. And ,a thanks for the laughs!!
This must be so frustrating for you guys. Hang in there, you never know what it was all good for. You learned a ton during the renovation and also have much more experience with dealing with problems. These are valuable lessons. But this is probably something you'll appreciate a few years down the line. Wish you all the best and hopefully the mechanic will be shamed into finally fixing everything.
You guys have really been through it with this one. I really like your Airbnb idea, I think it would do really well- especially near a popular national park. I took a glamping course a while back and have a bunch of knowledge around it so feel free to pick my brain. I think you’ve gotta put this behind ya for a while and fill your tanks back up. The Airbnb would help with the financial aspect and then you can refocus on your bucket list to find another direction for this next year or two. We all got derailed by the pandemic and watching the build of clementine was excellent- she may have served her purpose content wise for now 🤷♀️ send hugs to y’all!
You NEED to return that coach to the one who rebuilt that motor and either have him do it right or demand your $$ back. This is ridiculous!! 😡
YEAH
YEAH
Agreed
It was an old engine where they tried to fit new parts... I'm not excusing the issues they're having.
Agreed! The original mechanic needs to pay to have it towed back!
The education you have provided me is priceless. Thanks to your pain you have prevented mine.

Try to get a lawyer or a doctor to warranty anything. Also they make about 20 times as much money per hour. Nope don't become a mechanic ever.

Europe needs the endless adventures!!
Hey guys, I just want to compliment you on your wonderful attitudes no matter what happens!
That actually sounds like a pretty stellar plan 🏕
@@passingthroughtime3033 That sounds like a wonderful plan.
Just do NOT every get repairs performed at Camping World.
Very good advice. I hope they take it.
Good advice 👍
There's always the option of getting a crate motor installed and starting fresh with a good motor.
Take that gorgeous wife back on an overseas adventure. She is so very game, and an absolute doll for sanding, drilling and always smiling, but we want to see you guys exploring al the places we dream about.
Furthermore, the guy who did your engine rebuild NEEDS to pay for towing!!!
If he refuses we can make it look like an accident. You have friends...
That's not going to happen. Lol
Or come down there and fix it right!! For free!
Despite the bad news, you continue to make me smile (through tears!). Wishing you all good things to come!!!
🤣🤣 it's quite a bummer that that's a saying, but we're finding out it may in fact be true! 🙃
All the work they did to make Clementine incredibly beautiful, I wish they could have installed a new engine. Maybe that’s still something to consider?
Do not EVER lose your positive fun personalities:)
so sorry your broke down again, i just wanted to say don't give up, my family had a 1977 GMC vaquero that we used for summer and winter vacations for years and made wonderful memories driving all around the us. we even drove right through your neck of the woods to see relitives in Kennett Mo. twice a year.
This is the right answer.
I suggested that before they did the last engine rebuild, didn't follow my advice. Lesson, listen to car people.
Agreed this although a bit costly will do alot for clementine and wake her up on the road and also make her 120% reliable
Sylvana xx
You should ask Kara & Nate if you can borrow their converted van 🚐 while Clementine is being fixed.
Good idea!
They are now talking about taking their van to Canada to see Eamon and Bec
2 more losers
Honestly you should seek out rv sponsorships. There’s definitely local rvs in Missouri! Lots in northern Indiana too. I’d reach out! Coachman, crossroads, forest river, etc.
Don't give up on Clementine! We are just as invested as you are ❤
why don't you send some money then you will be invested just words means nothing
Seriously- sunk cost fallacy. At some point they just need to cut it loose and stop sinking money into it.
@@mdduet they also added a hella amount of weight to the old girl with all the wood floors and then having her pull another vehicle. Just too much.
Good luck !
My advice would be to remove the EFI system and intake manifold and go to a simple carburetor then almost anyone can work on it...
I am so sorry! But Clementine will be great when she comes back to you! Please don’t give up on her. You have built a real Beauty and she needs to be shown off.
Eric and Alison I am so gutted for you, it was super sad watching clementine drive away without you 😢.
But in other news Ruby won 1st prize YAY 😊
Definitely a fun little adventure at the car show 🏆 At least something good happened this week 😊
Parking Clementine for awhile may not be a bad idea. She would make a great BNB. Stationary. I feel your pain. Prayers being sent. Love and hugs
Teardrop trailer behind Ruby.
HUGS
Dude, Durangos have amazing tow capacity. I use mine tow a camper. Just get a little inexpensive camper to tow as an alternate.
You will be great no matter what you end up with! Cheering you on from Norway!
Alex and Emma will be catching you back up at this rate 😎👍🇬🇧
Good luck to you two from Norway.
Let's hope Clementine gets fixed into the best shape ever.
The plan you have to visit every state in the US is ambitious, and interesting to follow.
I wish you all the best and the luck towards the goal.
I feel so bad for you two. I really hope your persistence is admirable.
Take care!
I am so sorry .I hope things work out well for you two. I love your positive attitude.
I am so sorry y'all are having so many issues with Clementine. I am praying for y'all as you make your decisions...I know they are not easy ones to make. Hopefully, the guy in Chicago will stand behind his work and have you back on the road sooner than you think. Love from SC, Jane ❤🙏
Good luck! If you had dropped a modern engine in it, you wouldnt have to worry about finding the niche mechanics to fix it.
Good luck guys. Well done for the car show. Brilliant fun. xx
If your heart is weak no matter how much makeup you put on you still have a weak heart
These things happen! Stay positive, and things will work out! Keep up the good work, I truly enjoy watching your videos!
Heartbroken for your setbacks once again Eric and Allison. But we are with you. And will continue to watch and hope to see you back with Clementine soon!
Hi Love your Videos. Just dont lose hope. Place your Hand over your Heart & just say "All is Well".
Same! Thank you 🙌
I appreciate that you tell the bad along with the good.
Oh god, I really do feel for you...hope they can fix Clementine and get you back on the road again. It's your home! 😮💨
Thanks, we hope the same!
I absolutly love my Chevy Freeport and will never see it with any other family.
you should definitely find other vintage rv'ers that have more knowledge in working on your type of MRv
I wish I had a solution for y’all. I admire your attitude though, frustrated and sad but upbeat and persevering. You are a great couple, and I hope it works out well for Clementine.
Thank you so much 🥰
You guys need to do a collaboration with the KSR Performance and Fabrication channel. Kevin is a GENIUS with electronics and older engines!
OMG that's ridiculous. The mechanic who rebuilt the engine needs to fix it at no extra cost.
So sad! RVing has stress no matter the age of the vehicle but this is just so discouraging! And RV life is also full of adventure and I’ve loved that you’ve been able to get your feet wet with it.
I believe in you two AND Clementine! 🍊🍊🍊
Eric needs to get skilled on the EFI controller if a disconnected battery can screw it up.
Love you guys! You have the best attitudes, I sure wish we could find you someone who can get Clementine running right. Sending positive vibes from Canada xo
We're really hoping this is the final stop for her. We're basically just going to leave her up in Chicago until she runs again 😅
Dangit about Clementine! Hope she gets fixed right!💓
Sorry for the engine problems! Thanks for bringing us along!
Good luck!
If even only 1% of their fans stayed there, it still you be booked for years.
Hang in there Y'all. I'm renovating a 1987 Winnebago Jamboree. I started with mechanical...it's been an electrical nightmare. 25 yr old wiring...🤪
Best of luck with that! We put off mechanical til the end because it was such a scary task 😅
@@Theendlessadventure I feel the same about the remodel side...🤪
I agree, it was very sad to see Clementine being towed away! I would have cried, I think! Sure hope she can be fixed! Good luck to you!
Best of luck getting Clementine back on the road. She's so beautiful and you guys deserve to actually enjoy what you've built!
