I am beginning to understand your attraction to the Travel Beans, the nearly endless complaining, wishing for bad luck and consistantly finding it. Lighten up you guys.
Yep, I usually drain black, and refill and drain again before I use the gray (don't have a flush), but you definitely will be dealing with a less gross sewer hose if you do black first.
Things have moved on since the 70's, no hose on the black or grey tanks, one had to manoeuvre until the drain pipes were over the sewer manhole, having removed the cover first and not putting a wheel down it. Some covers were a two person job as thick Cast Iron or concrete.
My god, seeing Clementine again, she is one of the MOST GORGEOUS tiny homes I've ever seen in my life. The work you've done is stellar and I cannot wait til you can be back in Clementine for good. What a beauty, with function and form in spades.
Please for us old Vietnam Vet's take some pictures and videos. We want to see the country and how things have changed. Hopefully for the better. It wasn't go great when we left there and we weren't so greatly received at home eithier.
So nice to see Clementine is getting the engine she deserves , thanks to you two she is a unique, beautiful one of a kind motorhome. Giving up on her because of an engine after the absolute heart and soul you put into her transformation would have been a crime. 💕
Ok guys....first of all....love you guys! Now, you mentioned that you may not film while in Vietnam...you GOTTA film in Vietnam!!! Not only because it's Vietnam, but you guys are TH-camrs!..hundreds of thousands, which I'm sure will be millions soon, of people wait for your vlogs every week!! Please film in Asia.....pretty please?!?...if you don't, I get it, you have a camera in your face 24/7 and a break is probably needed....did I mention that it's Vietnam?!?...Travel safe guys and have a blast!
We just got our travel trailer back from the rv repair shop at our dealer. They had to replace our whole entrance door because it wouldn’t lock! Also our air conditioner stopped working so they replaced it with a brand new one. Thank goodness our trailer was still under warranty! Good to see Clementine again! I love the Black Series though, so versatile!!
I can imagine the stress of cramming last minute storage mixed in with the visa holdups, not to mention the other extraneous issues. Take a breath y'all. Remember to breathe. Take in the small moments that make you smile. Remember to have fun. The taxi driver was good to see. Safe travels, take care!
Ohhh, I hope we can have a peak of Vietnam. My Brother served 3 years over there during the war. But whatever you decide have a wonderful and blessed trip.
Please film some to show how 1 day went. Glad you showed how to break into trailer. Ha. If they want in that bad,. They just break glass. Have a great trip. Love your videos.
Omg y'all, seeing Miss Clementine was like running towards a loved one in slow motion after a long separation!🧡 She looks beautiful! I was very glad to hear you say that you're going to enjoy this trip without filming it, y'all deserve some down time and to immerse yourself in all the wonderful sights & sounds Asia has waiting for you! Much love to you both, we'll se ya when you return stateside.💙💜🙏😇
Back when you were renovating it, I warned you that all that wood would add to much weight. Your standard issues engine was not made to tow that weight. Hopefully your new one will work better.
gm Eric and Allison what's going on Adventures That is super great y'all getting things updated on Clementine and storing the Truck and Rv Best of luck on the trip and hope you see a bunch
Love watching you guys. Look on the bright side; You weren't attacked by a swarm of Cluster Flies like your friends the Beans were. Have a great next adventure.
That uber driver was so nice! If you have lock issues again, maybe try spraying some WD40 in there to see if that loosens things up. We've had some lock issues recently as well. So frustrating when you can't get into your own home!
I know it isn’t your trailer but many people replace the door and hatch locks with better locks. Most of them are just the cheapest thing that works. One person I know replaced the door latch with a touchpad lock that is like the regular key lock on your house.
Enjoy your break, if you don't film and take that break enjoy it even more. I'm sure a break can only make future content better - everyone needs a break, good for the mental health - don't deny yourselves that.
So sorry for all your stress in this episode. I hope you will have joyfully uneventful flights and can get some rest in L.A. and on those long plane rides. Enjoy Vietnam and Bali.
Please have a safe trip and be back an Clementine will be ready for he road. Do not have any problems, where will be prayers for a safe and good trip. Will miss your videos but will see pictures you take. Stay safe. Walk in Peace. Be Happy.
One thing I've learned about our Winnebago is to NOT use all 4 locks on the door! Why it has 4 locks, I'll never know. We have a standard deadbolt that I could replace with any hardware store one and then the standard lock has 2 more "Deadbolts" built into it as well as the standard locking latch. Happy travels, and we'll see ya when you get back. We're sitting still for a while to repaint, upgrade a few items and help our daughter out a little. Not filming a bunch right now either. BTW Clementines new engine swap is going to be great! It's pretty common to replace older small block Chevy engines with what they call an LS swap. It's super simple with all of the aftermarket support you could ask for. You're going to love it!
As a fellow content creator (stream in twitch) I always encourage people to take a break from creating, and then if you miss it while you’re out there. You can always pick it up!
Another tip I saw, run a little grey water first to be sure you’re connected to dump line well. Then start your black water and then the grey. Love you two!
I’m soooo glad you’re keeping. Clementine! I was so worried you were going to sell her! She’s beautiful and I love you’re getting a newer engine. 🙏🏻it fits and goes well.
You guys are really an inspiration. My husband and I are retired and are trying the RV life for mini vacations. We are currently on a trip to 2 Harbors, Minnesota. We are from Oklahoma and so far we have had a blow out which damaged some wiring under the pull-out. Then our keys got locked inside the camper and we also had to break into our camper. Then I trip and fell which cracked a rib. However, we are so blessed knowing that God has been sending just the right people our way to help us in our time of need. Do we ever have some stories to tell our kids.
Before you commit to a new engine...what about adding a custom radiator? We did that to my kid's Jeep that kept overheating. The stock radiator just wasn't enough. Mechanic either built or had one built with a lot more coils. That resolved our issues with the factory design :(
I love you're putting an LS motor in it. You'll love it! It will be night and day different. Great choice. Glad you're not giving up on the classics. Where there's a will there's a way!!!
Aww sorry you had a Rough time. Hope your Trip to vietnam helps you both recover and enjoy your time together . 🙏🙏🙏For Clementine that the new engine works out and your soon reunited with her & Ruby ❤ Take care 🥰🥰
What a nice looking dog in the truck wash place. That alone would have turned the difficult day into a pleasant day! What kind of dog was Billie the Kid?
You guys did a great job on Clementine, it's gorgeous inside. Are you guys gonna ride the bike along the coast in Vietnam? Really excited to see your videos, have a good trip and see you guys soon on the next videos.
It’s hard when things seem to keep going wrong. But I’m sure you guys will have a GREAT time. I’m sad we won’t get to see it but sometimes, you just have to unplug. Enjoy!
I know it wasn''t funny for you at the time, but it was funny to watch you break into the trailer. And I got emotional watching you reunite with Clementine. Looking forward to seeing you in Vietnam! Awesome video.
I hope that Clementine's upgrades will solve all her issues and yall get back in your home soon. If however that doesn't happen you might want to rename her Lemontine... I'm pretty optimistic you're on the right track with the bigger engine though.
Safe travels! I totally understand what your flights are going to entail. But at least you're splitting it up with some time in LA. In 2016, we flew from Fort Lauderdale to Singapore, but the route was through Atlanta with a 2.5 hour layover there, then a 15 hour flight to Seoul and another 2.5 hour layover there, then a 6 hour flight to Singapore.
Yikes! I am so sorry you have had to go through all of that! And I hope you have a wonderful trip--enjoy yourselves and we will see you when you get back!
Have a great trip. I think you are smart to take a vacation from filming. Others have mentioned your dumping. But ...... You can buy a plastic elbow the will attach to your hose and fit snuggly into the dump pipe. This eliminates any chance of spilling.... at least at that end.
Hang in there yall! I have faith you guys will overcome & get through those hurdles because you have always got through 🙏 Prayers for safe travels & looking forward to the new adventure ❤️ We love you! Sending you lots of hugs
Nice to see Clementine again and yes you guys did do a great refurb. I wasn't sure you would go to this expense of putting in a new engine, but i'm so glad you did. Enjoy your holiday guys.
Anybody else like the video before it got started?! Eric and Allison never ever disappoint you guys bring me so much joy & happiness lots of love 2 you!💯⭐️🤩❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry you’ve had so many hiccups. I totally feel you when you talk about the little things that keep happening that can be frustrating. We just appreciate you both and your videos and even the transparency when things go wrong. I hope you have a fantastic trip! Wear sunscreen!
I personally went to Israel back in 1992 or 1993. Getting through security onboard El Al was challenging and frustrating combined. But you two will do fantastic and will enjoy your trip thoroughly.
Hello from Newfoundland Canada. Love u guys. We own a trailer n that happen to us. We learned that u don't lock the dead bolt when u drive. U need to be level also.
I'm beginning to think the only luck you have is bad luck....welcome to vintage RV ownership! As you may notice, it rubs off on any RV or camper you decide to use... new or old!
Just wanted to drop and in and say that I am absolutely loving your channel. I only discovered you guys a few weeks ago and have already spent so many days binge watching your videos - so much fun, adventure and great food! Keep up the amazing work :)
I am beginning to understand your attraction to the Travel Beans, the nearly endless complaining, wishing for bad luck and consistantly finding it. Lighten up you guys.
As I'm sure others have and will point out. Black first. Let it drain completely. Then grey/gray. The "cleaner" gray water flushes the hose for you.
That being said, you still want to use the black flush if you have it, you just don't need to waste as much water.
Yep, I usually drain black, and refill and drain again before I use the gray (don't have a flush), but you definitely will be dealing with a less gross sewer hose if you do black first.

For sure, Black first, then gray. Also get a screw in sewar adapter for the dump.
Here to say the same thing
My god, seeing Clementine again, she is one of the MOST GORGEOUS tiny homes I've ever seen in my life. The work you've done is stellar and I cannot wait til you can be back in Clementine for good. What a beauty, with function and form in spades.

I literally cried at how adorable your Uber driver was! That was too sweet and genuine!!!
I loved his positive energy.
Right? Super happy humans are so refreshing!👍☺

Wd 40.. I used to work on safes and every once in a while to lock it gets stuck and WD-40 was the easiest fix
Film the Vietnam trip. It's such a beautiful country. Good you are getting a new engine and transmission. That will do ya until the rear end goes out.
I can imagine the stress of cramming last minute storage mixed in with the visa holdups, not to mention the other extraneous issues. Take a breath y'all. Remember to breathe. If you need a break, then take one. We want you to Be happy-rested and continue with the channel. 🙏 enjoy a vacation ❤
If Clementine doesn’t drive anymore, then you should park it on a piece of land and rent it out.
Enjoy your trip. And a break from filming. See you when you get back!
The work you have both done on Clementine is absolutely amazing. Just beautiful. 😍❤️ BTW, I love that Uber driver! What a sweetheart. ❤️
Hope you two film a bit in Vietnam, miss that beautiful country! Such a amazing place’
Make sure you get a heavy duty radiator and an oil and transmission radiator, especially since you’re towing
My heart. Seeing Clementine again brings back a lot of memories of the past few years. Hope things go smoothly with the trip and return.
Thanks!
I honestly miss seeing your adventures sans car trouble. One can only take so much headache.
Please film some to show how 1 day went. Glad you showed how to break into trailer. Ha. If they want in that bad,. They just break glass. Have a great trip. Love your videos.

You will enjoy Vietnam. Beautiful country, good food, reasonable prices etc. The markets are a must see as well.
Safe travels!
Glad you got that lock open. Loved seeing Clementine. ❤She is a beauty! The bigger better engine sounds great. Enjoy your trip. Safe travels. 😊
Another tip I saw, run a little grey water first to be sure you’re connected to dump line well. Then start your black water and then the grey. Love you two!
I’ll always go with vintage over fancy and new. Serenity now! 😂😂😂
Just met the Travel Beans in Manitou Springs, Colorado and talked about your van swap. Too bad y'all didn't get to the whole journey together.
you should dump the black tank first, then the grey one.. never ever open them or keep them open both together
Correct
I’m soooo glad you’re keeping. Clementine! I was so worried you were going to sell her! She’s beautiful and I love you’re getting a newer engine. 🙏🏻it fits and goes well.
no way would they sell her (after just finishing her) after all that work they put in!
You need a keyless RV lock. Latch It! makes great ones. I've been in the same situation, never again after I upgraded my lock.
Your uber driver was so fun.. Love the smiles.hopefully he helped lift your spirits.. Safe travels....
LS conversion is the way to go. Starts in the cold, etc.
The small block Chevy works, but LS much better
You guys are really an inspiration. My husband and I are retired and are trying the RV life for mini vacations. We are currently on a trip to 2 Harbors, Minnesota. I love the energy of the uber driver, such an awesome guy.
We had the same problem with our locks when we brought our new Travel Trailer home. Changed our locks out with a keyless entry lock
Before you commit to a new engine...what about adding a custom radiator? We did that to my kid's Jeep that kept overheating. The stock radiator just wasn't enough. Mechanic either built or had one built with a lot more coils. That resolved our issues with the factory design :(
Poor Clementine! I’m glad she’s okay and that she’ll be back on the road soon. Too bad they screwed up on the first replacement engine! Safe travels.
I love you're putting an LS motor in it. You'll love it! It will be night and day different. Great choice. Glad you're not giving up on the classics. Where there's a will there's a way!!!

When you get back to your truck, your mirrors fold back on that model truck. Have a fun trip. Love your videos.
What a nice looking dog in the truck wash place. That alone would have turned the difficult day into a pleasant day! What kind of dog was Billie the Kid?
Billy the Kid was a cute dog….
But, if he has a litter of puppies, where is Mrs. Kid?
Hope you guys have a safe flight and a terrific time in Vietnam.
Very nice video 👍👍
Replace the lock with an electronic lock. We did and so simple. Has a remote too
Good for you - take a vacation just for yourselves!

That was alot to go though in one day, to get everything situated to leave for Asia.
Not surprised you have been feeling down, with everything that has gone wrong. New chapter am sure things will get better. Best wishes from UK.

I hope your planning too keep both Clementine and the new trailer. Best of both worlds
Avid follower of your vids, but hope you two enjoy S.E. Asia and take a break from taping. Have what I’d imagine a needed break ❤
The best Americans. People you want to meet anywhere.
Nice to see Clementine again and yes you guys did do a great refurb. I wasn't sure you would go to this expense of putting in a new engine, but i'm so glad you did. Enjoy your holiday guys.
Nice to show the world how to break in these campers. There’s stuff you share and stuff you edit out.
If someone wants in, they are getting in. A door or a window isn't stopping someone.
Hey Clobetrotter you could always pulll it with the Ford and sell the trailer .Have fun
have a great trip hope you vlog some of your trip

HAVE FUN GUYS!
If you have enough time to leave the airport in Japan, Narita town is a nice place to see a bit, quick before you have to get back for the plane.
Awww clementine! Love that girl! Glad she is getting an upgrade. Great news! Cannot wait until you get back traveling with her
Have an amazing time,.. you guys are awesome…be safe
Next time don’t pull both tanks at the same time. Flush black first. Then rinse black. Then flush gray.
Good Luck Guys & Send U Some Positive Energy!!! Have A Safe Flight ✈️😎👍
Have a great time. I seen videos of Vietnam from Kinging It and it was amazing.
Looking forward to the return of true travel videos.
