but if you could make some of this machines floating between 2 magnets in a container with no air but only Vacum then I belive infinite or really long motion could be achieved
The "designers" don't make it too complicated. In 90% of cases they use the base. I doubt that a thick wooden plate is necessary to support 4 rods and 2 bearings🤣
The first one might be my favourite design I've seen. It does a great job of showing where the free energy is supposed to be coming from, while hiding the energy sink.
Read what is in the description link before judging! You will find this: "Perpetual motion, although impossible to produce, has fascinated both inventors and the general public for hundreds of years."
"Perpetual Motion Machines" do not generate energy. They are just very efficient at transferring very little force into a lot of motion. Any attempt to havest that energy or even rubbing your hand against it, will reveal that there is very little energy powering these devices to begin with, in fact, slightly less energy than it took to start it.
+Mārtiņš Rozenbergs True Perpetual Motion Machines do not exist. Even the most well made ones will eventually slow down and stop due to friction and other factors if they do not have additional outside energy put in to sustain it. Think of a pocket watch, taking a few seconds to wind it and it will run a very complicated and precise machine running all day. However, the next day it needs to be wound again, or it'll eventually slow down and die. Same idea. A true perpetual motion machine would be wound once and would be able to sustain itself without being touched or having a batter or even taking in solar energy or being moved to self wind.
Roughrider Gatlinghammer The few that I'm interested in wouldn't have to be powered for my pleasing. They last minutes on their own after you first "play" with it hence the term "toy" for me. It would be something on my desk/tables to fiddle with.
My grandfather built a basic PMM when I was a kid. It was just a basic unbalanced wheel design. He knew perpetual motion could never happen, but he thought the machines were neat. Well, he spun it, and it just kept going. We eventually went upstairs and had some dinner, and later on went to bed. The next morning, we went down into the basement, and the thing was still spinning. We all knew it was impossible, but there it was. Three days later, still going. So on the fourth day, we went downstairs, and it had finally stopped. It turned out that the unicorn we kept in the basement got loose and bumped into it, causing it to slow, and finally stop. Makes you wonder how much longer it could have kept going. True story.
Cool video. Though I'm a bit ignorant on the subject, isn't perpetual motion supposed to be impossible? Sure, most of these machines can run for awhile, but will eventually halt due to external conditions, right? Give most of these (including your Part 1 video) a couple hours and they may stop functioning. Bah, impressive and interesting no less.
+SlamifiedBuddafied i cant say all, but most of them are being runt by an egine of some sort, for example on part 1, the blue water one, it says that the weight of the water pushes it down, but water pressure varies only on height, so it must have some kind of pump, probably in that black brace that secures the pipe to the table
+Explore&ShootTV If you look closely, similar observations to the one you wrote are valid for almost all braces you see in the vid. The shots are meticulously taken so that the source of energy is hidden, in most cases (if not in all). There is even a screw that starts and stops moving at some point, which is probably associated with a torque given by a motor. But those are nice toys to fool people.
+Explore&ShootTV It must. You can even see air bubbles shooting through the water at first. Plus the delay as the pump fills. That water should have gone through the tube instantly. No doubt camera angles hiding the giveaways.
Whats that plug being used for 0:36 ? And if it is able to overcome friction then you can use a friction powered generator on it and draw power from it
The fact that it keeps moving is fine. If you tried to take energy from it it'd stop. It's just an efficient machine that will stop eventually. Perpetual is impressive but not valuable.
+William N I still have trouble with the fact that the title includes the word "perpetual" in it. It is by no means perpetual, as the definition of such means NEVER ending, not almost. I know you already know this, but the title still irks me.

ever notice how all of these are sitting on or connected to some kind of box? never is everything open to public scrutiny. thats because 100% of "perpetual motion" machines are bullshit
Of course those are driven. ;-) Well done presentation! Very nice workmanship on those models, IMHO. I most especially liked the last one shown; very clever. Also, nice choice of tune. Can you name the band and song?
+Mod MINI The arm it was suspended by. The concept of the contraption is that as it unwinds its momentum throws it towards the next leg to wrap around, however such a device would probably never manage a full revolution. in this case, you can clearly see the arm is throwing the weight towards the legs as its moving far faster then the weight is. If it was working on its own, the weight would swing out ahead of the arm. Just like how the first device was clearly using a rotor to spin (The weights moving and jostling about give you a hint that energy is being added to the system by an outside force) since the orbital weights had no impact on its speed.
in the first round, it rolls around the innermost arms 3 times (u may see it), after some time it rolls around it just 2 times, therefore after some time it will just stop. good mechanism though
+ThePapino134 A prepetual machine would only accelerate if it had no forces to stop it! On earth you will have gravity and air recistance, but everywhere in the universe you have friction to overcome.... Than again making a machine that does neither accelerate and decellerate would be impossible. for example a "newton's cradle" seems to have figured out that stuff, but if you wait long enough they also stop...
so what if you took the model starting at 1:28 and put several of them in a line, like a turbines used in dams, and slightly off set them so that there was always one moving (similar to the pistons in cars) would it be able to have more torque? and would it have enough torque to turn an engine and make energy?
I don't know why there's so many people saying these things are fake. They are completely possible. You may say that, by the laws of thermodynamic, you can't get energy out of nothing, but these machines don't work all by themselves. You give them a bit of energy when you set up the contraption in place. By lifting it, you transform your physical energy into potential energy, and then, thanks to gravity, that potential energy is transformed into kinetic energy, making the contraption move. This movement also transforms kinetic energy into potential energy again on the other side of the contraption, and the cycle starts again. Basicly, you give it some initial energy, and then it is transformed constantly. At least that's how I think they work. Theorically, they are not perpetual, as friction produces heat, which makes the system lose energy over time. Eventually it will stop working, but it could take years. Why isn't this used as full electrical generators? Well I think the amount of energy produced by a wheel of that size and rotating at that speed is absurdly low. Making a bigger version of this would be costly, and it wouldn't produce much energy either. Also, as it depends on gravity, it can't be rotated or moved, so it doesn't work as a mobile energy generator. The relation between cost and energy production is too low. Why would people invest in a giant gravity generator when they can produce the same amount of energy with a cheaper wind or water turbine? "Perpetual" motion machines are interesting to have there in your room, but they aren't a reliable source of energy.
Gabe adorno I don't know, I didn't watch it. I'm talking about the insane number of people trying to rationalize something which is _physically_ impossible.
+Gabe adorno no it does no. it defies the first (and possibly the second) law/s of thermodynamics meaning that these people are trying to fool you by hiding a rotor somewhere which powers the device, or just being a really efficient device that is given energy at the start to create an illusion of a gain in energy
joebog1 laws get broken and if it's efficiency is good enough it could go for a very very long time. But it's useless because as soon as you try to hook a turbine up to it to generate energy, it would slow it down
If people actually bothered to go onto his site, he actually says himself that these are battery/other energy source powered and that he only made them to show the concept of these machines if they were to work.
All I see is visual stimulation that creates thoughtful dialogue in the comments. I think it's a win win. The fail is that we can't come up with a way to convert a slight amount of energy to a major amount of energy without combusting fuel to slam through life.
Te creator of these confirm that there is an electrical motor involved. This video is supposed to show how perpetual motion machines wood work if they did.
hey im really interested in recreating your projects for our science subject, um can you please help me or guide me in making the machine in 1:30? what are its materials? pleaseeee if yes thank you so much more power to your channel
@5:05 that one is little fishy.. why does the stroke of the lever move forward as the string unwinds, you can see there is lot of momentum after the ball/ string releases; gravity is not affecting it.. why is that?
Rasberry Jam Even though you know how, for the record for all comment readers, it's not possible to take energy from those because they only orbit in low-friction environments, If there was more than a tiny number of particles in space, they would crash very quickly.
Vasiliska Ilyushin
For those that keep saying that it's all fake and he put batteries on them, please stop and think. Perpetual Motion may be impossible but that certainly doesn't mean that creating a machine that can utilize the vast majority of energy put into to a greater efficiency is also impossible, news flash it's not. Gas engines and other engines that we use to power our world are extremely inefficient and therefore require a constant influx of energy to run but these machines do not and will continue to run for an extended period of time, it's not "Perpetual Motion" it's simply showing off efficiency in a mechanical system. Please stop being idiots.
John Kens A gasoline engine is about 20% energy efficient some are a little more but that means that 80% of the energy they take in is lost, usually by heat. An engine such as these is maybe 80-90% energy efficient, for something to have perpetual motion it must be 100% energy efficient which due to entropy is impossible. That's called efficiency you should do research before calling me the idiot sir, maybe you should go back to high school and learn about it too idk i'm just an idiot.
John Kens that does not make gasoline more efficient at all, it makes it more practical in today's society. simply producing more energy than something else does not mean it is more efficient. efficiency is the relation ship oh energy leaving the system ( a ) and the total energy produced by the system( e ), which is a/e *100= % efficiency. so in the case of a motor vehicle (e) would be the total energy the engine produces in kj, let's say 1000kj. while (a) would be the energy at the crank in kj, let's say 350kj. so (350/1000)*100=35% in this example the engine has a energy efficiency of ,35%. which means 65% of the energy is lost in heat, friction, things like that.
Lacrima Gasoline produces huge amount of excess energy, so it can move a car. Even if it was true those devices would work, there would be energy just to propel it itself, not even propel anything else. Those devices would need to produce many hp more energy to be possible use it as propellant. But it would mean when running free it would keep to speed up to the high revolutions until it destroys itself. But nothing like this happens, so this can't be even thought about being better than gasoline...
I like how all the comments regurgitate what grade 8 science taught. we know the physics ok . just because all of you can repeat what greater people than yourselves once said, doesn't mean you got the universe on lock down. great video and very cool gadgets
The V8 he's just explained how everyone already knows it's bs. But he's just saying he still likes the gadgets. Stop being a douchebag, at the end of the day they're just fun to watch.
I wish these all included descriptions of how they are supposed to work. In Part 1,you could get an idea of what the designer was thinking, but some of these don't even seem to have a principle which would make them work. It's totally unclear what the designer was thinking.
Since there is nowhere to route a wire, I think that one must be battery driven- at one point, you can see what looks to be the shadow of the drive behind the wheel on the right. Obviously, these are all mechanically driven- I really think the first one is may favorite because it must be belt driven through the hollow tube legs.
+Dave Olifent no, the thing about these videos is that they are hooked up to motors. All these machines are cyclical. All of the machines make more than one cycle in the video. If these machines were not hooked up to motors, it would be impossible for them to even complete a single cycle without an initial force.
+stuffandpoop Sure it does. Before you trash someone else's machine you know nothing about show us what you can do and what makes you the expert. Last I checked you didn't have a TH-cam channel with subscribers checking out anything you made
Robert Ray I don't have to build a machine to be an expert, or to know his machines are bullshit. I just have to have a basic understanding of the law of the conservation of energy. One cannot break the laws of physics, which is what these machines appear to do if they are not hooked up to a motor.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion Read the first two lines "This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate the first or second law of thermodynamics"
Anto Mani Wikipedia is not the most reliable source of information....but it is true that these machines are cool, but the whole motion thing is probably fake
jody024 not just probably, 100% fake. Cool ideas but the perpetual motion machines are all fakes. This is one of the oldest concepts of physics. You can never generate more energy than you the one you have used to generate it in the first place.
dylarmage Well, it's not me. This is the actual physic paradigm. One thing is to try to challenge the paradigm and other thing to cheating people don't understand why this could not work.
Who is cheating anyone? Don't go adding in accusations if you aren't going to follow through. "Paradigm" is not a fixed principal that is without exception or without possibility of disproof. As soon as you start making absolutist statements like "X proves Y" then you have ceased science and moved into entirely new fields of rhetoric. There's a reason that every article that says "Study proves X" is categorically false. That's not how the scientific method works and its definitely not the way that science on a basic philosophical level works. Cases like this show up very commonly around discussions about things people like to think they understand through even the most basic of pop science concepts. Newtonian physics is 1) Not an absolute set of rules 2) Is not as simplistic as the standard you're attempting to establish here. Honestly, I'm not even concerned about the content of your post. Well, beyond your absolutism. That's the problem. You think science is about protecting what already is and not about discovery beyond what is known. I can tell because you jump to "these are fakes" (a nonsense statement to make about a physical object that is clearly real) instead of making a correct statement like "friction and or entropy will probably cause it to come to rest at some point in the future, even if it preserves momentum for a long time." If you're going to throw words around, know what they mean first.
Wow, very smart thinking. The big arc piece does 3 things. 1) It takes the weight off of the spinning assembly at the top of the down hill trek, 2) it rotates the weight on that same smaller wheel so that it cocks it back to create a kenetic downhill golf swing potential, then 3) releases the weight into the golf swing to maximize the downhill swing thrust, while the weights on the other two wheels have their weights hanging free and closer to the center, allowing them to rise due to the fact that the big wheel has less weight to lift on that side. In turn, PM, and a very nice version of an alternating weight wheel PMM.
If any of these were true sources of perpetual motion, then don't you think someone somewhere would have already capitalized on the idea and started producing "free energy"? (I quote the words free energy because that term is 100% malarkey and breaks the laws of physics)
Jack Duno I find it funny how you cite physics like it's the fucking bible yet if you actually read a book on all the famous physicists hell scratch that, famous scientists in general. Each and every one dedicates their first words, with an iteration of "The guy before me is wrong this is how it really goes."
Shanethefilmmaker So what I'm getting here is that you doubt the laws of physics or something? Which famous scientist told you that any of the machines above are true perpetual motion machines?.. That's all I'm tring to argue
Jack Duno And what I am trying to tell you is the people who invented, not discovered, in ven ted, are people whom time and again has done it prove the scientist and physicist before him/her wrong. the laws of physics are unreliable sources when the people that invented them kept changing them as a means to prove each other wrong.
Jack Duno I hope that wasn't sarcasm, but seriously look up any scientist even the ones that cite the previous ones as their idols, they often begin with some variation of "He was great, but what he wasn't right about was this."
gravity is a force, but not a source of energy. Any energy gained by dropping something will be lost again when it is lifted, along with interest from friction. Even if you could make a perfectly frictionless wheel that ran forever, it would be useless as an energy source, since the minute you tried to extract any energy, it would stop. super useful for trains and stuff tho, so still patent it if you invent one ;)
+The Redstoner Look up F. G. Woodward's Wheel. That should partially explain it. I still don't fully understand it. This is one I do believe doesn't last very long due to the large amount of contact between the parts, unless properly lubricated.
While possible, i'd like to understand how it works if not powered by external means... as i'd like to believe these are nearly perpetual motion machines, as I understand the mechanics behind every other machine here
screw the definition of perpetual motion, why has no-one hooked a dynamo up to like 300 of these and emplyed a few people to walk around and poke them with a stick every now and again
extremally unefficient. dynamo wpuld put put near all energy in secounds fron them and even if someone would poke it constantly... well it would be more efficient to just spin dynamo by yourself but as you probably know its waaaay less efficient that for example water turbine
will these accelerate infinitely if there is no friction? in secondary school teacher told us that all of these machine are fail because it is not possible for a system to generate energy by itself to overcome friction...... is this somehow related to free energy?
It's very lubricated, as the other ones. This, plus the fact that they're shown only for a few seconds, gives the illusion of perpetual motion, but if you attach, say, an electric generator they'll stop running
All of these machines are sat on a table that conveniently hides the power access point - except at 0:30 - 0:40. They all have large bases that conveniently hide any wiring coming up through any holes in the table top. Most have large square tube frames to run more cables through. The last one most likely has a drive mechanism below the base to drive the central shaft.
That's not how it works. The idea of a "Perpetual Motion Machine" isn't to consume or generate energy, but rather, to take relatively little energy, and continue on for an elongated time by exploiting some property of physics. In this case, it's gravity and inertia. Each one shown will eventually stop. Nobody expects these things to go on forever. The impressive part is the impressive amount of motion that can be generated with so little energy. Some could go on for minutes or potentially hours. However, all will eventually stop to the resist force of friction. Being able to make one so efficient that resistance can be applied without slowing it is impossible by our current understanding of physics. However, it's fun to think of such a device. Attaching a generator to it would open up a world of new possible inventions we could dream up but simply have no means of powering as well as powering all our current inventions without the biproducts of pollution.
"The idea of a "Perpetual Motion Machine" isn't to consume or generate energy, but rather, to take relatively little energy, and continue on for an elongated time by exploiting some property of physics." WRONG!!! I suggest that you should look up the meaning of the word "perpetual".
+nick delhez these don't actually work. this video is just showing builds of hypothetical designs, and how they would behave if they actually worked. it is not showing real perpetual motion machines. it is just a very cool art project.
The only real perpetual motion machine in this video is the comment section...and eventually friction will stop this one too.
hahahahhahahahahahahahahhahha you got it ;)
but if you could make some of this machines floating between 2 magnets in a container with no air but only Vacum then I belive infinite or really long motion could be achieved
no there will still be friction on the rotation axe
The magnets also lose power over time. There is nothing perpetual.
lmao

Prolly meant scare-quotes around 'perpetual'.
My favorite is the carousel. I love how the weight that is supposedly keeping it moving falls behind the arm and gets whipped forward again.
Cool desk toy ideas. Great craftsmanship and interesting contraptions regardless.

I'm fully aware these are all motor or pump driven :)

Also make the metal rod thats suppirting it glass
The fact that it keeps moving is fine. If you tried to take energy from it it'd stop. It's just an efficient machine that will stop eventually. Perpetual is impressive but not valuable.

lonewolf333 True. Motion machines isn't good click bait though.
ever notice how all of these are sitting on or connected to some kind of box? never is everything open to public scrutiny. thats because 100% of "perpetual motion" machines are bullshit
Of course those are driven. ;-) Well done presentation! Very nice workmanship on those models, IMHO. I most especially liked the last one shown; very clever. Also, nice choice of tune. Can you name the band and song?
Thank you much.

Far The Days Come - Letter Box
Perpetual Trolling Machines.
The last one makes me laugh..you see clearly that the weight is being pulled hahaha :p
+Caculated What is it being pulled by?
+Mod MINI The arm it was suspended by. The concept of the contraption is that as it unwinds its momentum throws it towards the next leg to wrap around, however such a device would probably never manage a full revolution. in this case, you can clearly see the arm is throwing the weight towards the legs as its moving far faster then the weight is. If it was working on its own, the weight would swing out ahead of the arm. Just like how the first device was clearly using a rotor to spin (The weights moving and jostling about give you a hint that energy is being added to the system by an outside force) since the orbital weights had no impact on its speed.
in the first round, it rolls around the innermost arms 3 times (u may see it), after some time it rolls around it just 2 times, therefore after some time it will just stop. good mechanism though
bro its representing how its SUPPOSED to work, its obvious that its fake
this man would think that if two people were falling and push eachothers hands down at the same time they would go up
what is the title of the music used here? answer pls. . .
Name music?
if your stuff was really creating energy it would accelerate infinitly
EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!
+ThePapino134 and can't be stopped...
No, it wouldnt, because its Fake. xD
No shit!
"Perpetual" motion machines are interesting to have there in your room, but they aren't a reliable source of energy.
mechanically possible ,
Too bad friction is a thing lol.
"Perpetual motion" my ass.
the freeman said it, therefore it must be true! and where's your next game! it's been like 12 years man!

Don't tell GabeN you saw me here, that may delay the game another century.

Again, we see an example of a comment section collectively not using their critical thinking skills.
Meaning the video is fake? Or real?
Gabe adorno I don't know, I didn't watch it. I'm talking about the insane number of people trying to rationalize something which is _physically_ impossible.
It looks real and it makes sense tho
This is what unicorns would look like, if they actually existed.
All I see is visual stimulation that creates thoughtful dialogue in the comments. I think it's a win win. The fail is that we can't come up with a way to convert a slight amount of energy to a major amount of energy without combusting fuel to slam through life.
1:50 I like how the drums are synced to the thingamajig.
Although these are fake, look nice :P
Te creator of these confirm that there is an electrical motor involved. This video is supposed to show how perpetual motion machines wood work if they did.
Though I'm already know it is impossible, but just can't stop watching
hey im really interested in recreating your projects for our science subject, um can you please help me or guide me in making the machine in 1:30? what are its materials? pleaseeee if yes thank you so much more power to your channel
@5:05 that one is little fishy.. why does the stroke of the lever move forward as the string unwinds, you can see there is lot of momentum after the ball/ string releases; gravity is not affecting it.. why is that?
Great hoaxes of perpetual motion machines. It's just a shame they aren't actually running without external energy source.

I know how it works. I was making a point. Hilarious that you responded in such a foolish way.
Rasberry Jam Even though you know how, for the record for all comment readers, it's not possible to take energy from those because they only orbit in low-friction environments, If there was more than a tiny number of particles in space, they would crash very quickly.
Impossible or not, Its interesting seeing some of the mechanisms people have created

Alexander Shatalov
Vasiliska Ilyushin
very enjoyable to watch.

oooh the last one is gorgeous
the last one was amazing !
Yeah batteries are greatly hiden
How is it overcoming friction and air resistance?
its not...
Batteries.
the friction and air resistance are very low on this scale, the machine will eventually stop but it'll take a long time
Electric motors
These are beautifully made little demonstrations, or fancies. Kinetic sculptures, even.
"Gas engines and other engines that we use to power our world are extremely inefficient" haha your the idiot.
John Kens that does not make gasoline more efficient at all, it makes it more practical in today's society. simply producing more energy than something else does not mean it is more efficient. efficiency is the relation ship oh energy leaving the system ( a ) and the total energy produced by the system( e ), which is a/e *100= % efficiency. so in the case of a motor vehicle (e) would be the total energy the engine produces in kj, let's say 1000kj. while (a) would be the energy at the crank in kj, let's say 350kj. so (350/1000)*100=35%
in this example the engine has a energy efficiency of ,35%. which means 65% of the energy is lost in heat, friction, things like that.
and you are trying to say that....

+veproject1 Perpetual motion os not possible. Sooner or later, all machines will run out of energy if they are not supplied.
It's totally unclear what the designer was thinking.
do you have a link to the song? reminds me of labradford.

Since there is nowhere to route a wire, I think that one must be battery driven- at one point, you can see what looks to be the shadow of the drive behind the wheel on the right. Obviously, these are all mechanically driven- I really think the first one is may favorite because it must be belt driven through the hollow tube legs.
Please make video "how to make those machines". I'd love to make it too, especially the last one. And with the measure. Thanks.. :))

"Perpetual Motion _Idea_ Machines" Should be the correct title. Any perpetual motion video will of course be BS anywho.
The annoying thing about these videos is that they don't run long enough to watch the momentum decay.
+Dave Olifent no, the thing about these videos is that they are hooked up to motors. All these machines are cyclical. All of the machines make more than one cycle in the video. If these machines were not hooked up to motors, it would be impossible for them to even complete a single cycle without an initial force.
+stuffandpoop Post a link to a video you made of your machine?
Robert Ray this response makes no sense.
One cannot break the laws of physics, which is what these machines appear to do if they are not hooked up to a motor.
how strong motion is from this machines? it is possible create this bigger for production IDN elektricity??which machine has enought power?

This guy is replicating perpetual inventions made before. He knows they aren't perpetual he just makes them to make them
how is the first one in this clip made? do you have a link? i spent a while looking with no luck.
Perpetual motion exists my finger perpetually moves to the next perpetual motion video
The only real thing that is perpetual is in the way they never stop trying to con everyone!
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_motion Read the first two lines
"This kind of machine is impossible, as it would violate the first or second law of thermodynamics"
You can never generate more energy than you the one you have used to generate it in the first place.
elmareao Its ironically unscientific for you to try to make absolute statements like that.
dylarmage Well, it's not me.
I can tell because you jump to "these are fakes" (a nonsense statement to make about a physical object that is clearly real) instead of making a correct statement like "friction and or entropy will probably cause it to come to rest at some point in the future, even if it preserves momentum for a long time."
If you're going to throw words around, know what they mean first.
"in this house we obey the laws of thermodynamics!!"
Could you class these as batteries? Because they take the input kinetic energy from you starting it spinning, then it slowly releases it again...
Jack Duno
And what I am trying to tell you is the people who invented, not discovered, in ven ted, are people whom time and again has done it prove the scientist and physicist before him/her wrong. the laws of physics are unreliable sources when the people that invented them kept changing them as a means to prove each other wrong.
Shanethefilmmaker Huh. My whole world makes no sense now
Jack Duno
I hope that wasn't sarcasm, but seriously look up any scientist even the ones that cite the previous ones as their idols, they often begin with some variation of "He was great, but what he wasn't right about was this."
Energy source is gravity!
Actually the energy source is under that mysteriously opaque base unit.
Gravity isn't a source of energy, but I can see why you thought it
gravity is a force, but not a source of energy. Any energy gained by dropping something will be lost again when it is lifted, along with interest from friction. Even if you could make a perfectly frictionless wheel that ran forever, it would be useless as an energy source, since the minute you tried to extract any energy, it would stop.
super useful for trains and stuff tho, so still patent it if you invent one ;)
so add more weight... since it looses force , to gain add more weight and can power a batt or light. ???
It's a force not a source
This is strangely satisfying
@veproject1 nice job keeping the beat of the music on time with the unbalanced wheel
It doesn't really matter if they are fake or not, the real question should be can these designs be used in some way to improve efficiency.
Too much energy is lost to friction for these to produce near what the energy is used to power them.
no it cannot
i still need an explanation for the "Suspended Wheel System"
+The Redstoner Look up F. G. Woodward's Wheel. That should partially explain it. I still don't fully understand it. This is one I do believe doesn't last very long due to the large amount of contact between the parts, unless properly lubricated.
If you watch closely...there is a shadow behind the right wheel....its being rotated by an engine....I think so
Luiz Milky Like I said, these don't usually run very long. So, yeah, there probably a motor behind this one just to show you how the parts move.
+The Redstoner Probably snuck a battery behind the wheel somewhere.
While possible, i'd like to understand how it works if not powered by external means... as i'd like to believe these are nearly perpetual motion machines, as I understand the mechanics behind every other machine here
screw the definition of perpetual motion, why has no-one hooked a dynamo up to like 300 of these and emplyed a few people to walk around and poke them with a stick every now and again
extremally unefficient. dynamo wpuld put put near all energy in secounds fron them and even if someone would poke it constantly... well it would be more efficient to just spin dynamo by yourself but as you probably know its waaaay less efficient that for example water turbine
mine-cake , How about, get a bunch of people to push a gigantic dynamo and then poke whoever is slowing down, stumbling, or slacking off.
Have you tested these to see if they run for a month or so, if so which ones make the highest torque to run a generator?
Perpetual motion aside these are very cool sculptures. I enjoy these videos
all perpetual motion are fake.
I agree but work on your grammar
Genius....
how
will these accelerate infinitely if there is no friction?
in secondary school teacher told us that all of these machine are fail because it is not possible for a system to generate energy by itself to overcome friction......
is this somehow related to free energy?
Would any of them work in space with magnetic bearings ,or would the resistance of the bearings eventually stop it ? Just saying
Really nice video ... you should make a machine that starts a light LED or something like that.
These are great. I wonder if it is just conservation of energy or if there is trickery built in.
+Michael Becker The title could be: Great trickery machines
Another excellent video. 💙 T.E.N.
how does the last one get it's spin? or is it just very well lubricated?
It's very lubricated, as the other ones. This, plus the fact that they're shown only for a few seconds, gives the illusion of perpetual motion, but if you attach, say, an electric generator they'll stop running
can something like this be Incorporated into a car to get more gas milage.
"The idea of a "Perpetual Motion Machine" isn't to consume or generate energy, but rather, to take relatively little energy, and continue on for an elongated time by exploiting some property of physics."
WRONG!!! I suggest that you should look up the meaning of the word "perpetual".
+Terry Miff There's a reason I used quotes. A true perpetual motion machine does not exist.
+Terry Miff Next time read an entire comment before you start calling people wrong on one sentence.
Do make or buy the machines? If you built them, I would be thoroughly impressed. Plz do more of these.
awesome dude...I like all ur experiment
interesting videos! how do you make it look like these work?
Just out of curiosity, what is the longest amount of time one of these devices has run for you?
+Bear Cat
As long as its plugged into the wall socket ;)
Forever.
What is the most effective one which is easy to make?
+nick delhez these don't actually work. this video is just showing builds of hypothetical designs, and how they would behave if they actually worked. it is not showing real perpetual motion machines. it is just a very cool art project.
2:50 how does this work? I'd really appreciate it if you answer my question
Blame the Game by help of a motor
Can someone please explain to me roughly how the Three Beams Perpetual star works?
Any interesting curio. Is the universe not just a perpetual motion machine?
Amazing videos ! Thanks a lot !
is the energy you need, to lift a 1kg stone by one meter the same amount of energy u get if it falls 1meter?
Where can we buy these for Christmas presents ?
