When I was about 9 years old, my next door neighbor, a school principal, had this bike in this same color. I was so young and impressionable that it set the gold standard for me. No matter what amazing bikes have come out since, my mind won't let them top the Honda 175.
My best friend had this bike @ 16. I got to pilot it many times as he was very inexperienced as a rider. It wasn’t exactly a rocket ship but was more than enough to cruise the town, even two up. I always loved the styling.
These early Honda twins are really under-appreciated. I have a mint little CM250C and it’s surprisingly fun to ride, and the motor sounds way better than a little parallel twin should!
1970 Oregon 2 years shore duty in the Navy. Myself and two others bought cl175's blue and had a ball. Unfortunately, left my bike behind as I rushed home. Looking for this exact match to go up for sale. There is a spot in my living room for it (but I might just ride after polishing). Great bike
I bought a 1971 CL175 orange in color I got a top speed of 77mph out of it at a flying 1/4 that Burt Monroe also had his velocette and Indian at The manufacturer claimed 81mph I piston seized it on a second run , probably wasn’t warm enough! The rear exhaust guard on your bike looks non standard as they were chrome ( in NZ anyway) I loved the sound of mine
Besides the high pipes, the handlebar crossbar was a CL feature. Also rear tire removal was easier than the CB, which had to have the left side exhaust removed (if I remember correctly). Also, there's snow on the ground man; what's the temp there? Just a t shirt, gets kinda cool!
I have a mint 1972 cl 175 scrambler in mint shape with 2,142 miles and all original except for upgraded charging system and brand new tires and valve service done. Bill of sale, but VIN is clean and has Texas Classic Motorcycle license plate on it. I'd consider any fair offer if interested, thanks!

My first bike was a 72 CB175. I loved it and wish I still had it.
I have always had the utmost admiration for those early Honda twins reliability & longevity @10000rpm
I bought a new CL175 in June 1968, burnt orange, I wish I still owned it...
Great bikes
I just bought a 71 burnt orange honda a little while back and plan to build a scramble with it!

Soooo... did he sell it? Does he want to? Asking for a friend.
He unfortunately did sell it.

lovely bike but my cd175 is prettier😊👍
but the CD 175 had small wheels, and suspension sucked, as i recall...
