Finally someone who sees the vision with the white number plates! 😂 I may try a black oval plate to see how it compares as a mix between the two options 🤔
Ammo cans look real good and come in handy but I like the handle bag option better! Looks a lot cleaner and I also like how it’s only on one side. Ride safe 🤙
I like the oval and I think it would look even better in black, I agree that it's the different shades of orange that are throwing it off a bit. That being said the little difference in the orange still compliments the bike and doesn't look bad at all.
5:44 I like the ammo cans, I put the metal green ammo can on mine. You can see it in my walk around video. 7:42 I like that handlebar bag too. P.S. Always give you credit in my SCL500 videos.
@@LifeOfBurch😢One of these days I will return to your meet-up. I have a commitment with motorcycle club. What’s the link/info (if my plans fall through)?
The number plate is fine so long as you make it orange to match the tank. Black numbers ... orange background. Oval is better than rectangle. But personally I would put the ammo cases on because I always need to keep a jacket and some other stuff with me in case the weather turns colder unexpectedly.
Bro can't get the number plate 100% right with all the community. That phrase "you can't please everyone, so make sure you like it first" rings so true on this topic. The new number plate looks like jus straight up Halloween theme, last number plate some people didn't like because it wasn't uniform, new number plate introduced a new variable with the rectangle design, Black numbers on orange wouldn't look as jack-o-lantern I think, but I dunno man, all I knew is the amount of effort Burch has now put into finding the perfect number plate is applaudable and commendable, broski really out here now trying stuff in photoshop. Goes to a not insignificant amount of effort to please as much if not all his community he can. At the end of the day, here's hoping he goes withever he likes, but it's still a funny predictament.

I felt the same way, but I didn’t expect there to be such a big outcry. It’s ultimately your bike man, I’m here for you (and yeah for the bikes too), mainly for your personality.
I think the ammo panniers with brake and or indicator lights would look great on it. You could even stick the orange numbers on them if you wanted. I would have waited until the front tyre had to be changed and gotten them done at the tyre shop at the same time.
Also, any information on shocks for this bike with reservoirs I think they would look a lot better filling out the bike haven’t been able to find them. Have you seen any?
Burch, in MHO you should frisbie those white plates at the dump. I do like the orange number plates and the L o Burch stickers. You inspired me to buy a Rebel 500 and it is the best choice. Good luck my dude.
Burch still working on my bike what if you just cut the bracket off I’m thinking of doing that that way if you ever want to put the stock back on you could just weld it back on. Let’s just get rid of the bracket also I’m thinking of cutting the brackets off that, supported the reflectors on the front end what do you think?
Since you asked for opinions, personally I think ammo cans look amazing. Slap some orange 23 stickers or your orange logo onto the sides of them for the best of both worlds! But it's your bike my guy, do whatever the hell you like.🤙
ok, IF it were MY bike, I think I like the dual bag ammo box look. BUT I would hollow out a tube shape, like epoxy in a half tube into the box, to fit around the shocks, (like a transmission tunnel in a car) allowing the boxes to be mounted much closer. THEN YOU could make a smaller version of the black and orange number plate to add to the boxes, displaying your Lucky number and channel. BUT most importantly, it's YOUR bike, do YOU bro!
That would be rad if the ammo boxes were bigger, otherwise it’d kinda render them useless with even less space and a weird shape. Would be sick to see a company develop bigger bags in that style though!
I would say the saddlebags look the best, but I can see where you were going with the number plates and I would be quite interested to see what a smaller size, round or oval, number plate mounted directly to the exhaust bracket would look like (if it's even possible to mount it there in some way).
I'm a big fan of utility and having enough storage on your bike for every situation so i would probably go with both ammo cans or at least the Torque bag for something more discreet.
Keep it as is...I like the smaller front fender and the one sided fabric bag.....next choice would be the ammo cans.....3rd choice the oval plate, 4th square plate. (Sorry you had to sell the MX-5 but the time was right to sell at top dollar with the nice weather here now.)
I think square ones from the 70s and 80s flat tracker ones would look cool to run from time to time. Check out the old flat tracker bikes. That's why I love the CL is because it looked like an old flat tracker bike.
Honestly I was a fan of the white number plate but my first choice now would be ammo can saddlebags. Although, that might be a biased opinion because I put ammo cans on my bike.
I agree with the Torque bad being the most sleek, and would probably use that daily as you said. However the saddle bags are awesome, and if I had to choose just one I would definitely go for those. If they didnt have to stick out so far they'd be the no brainer only choice for me, but ya gotta avoid those shocks. I think the original number plates could have worked (for my tastes) if they were like .5-.6x the size of what you went with - i know you said you wanted them large though.
More storage capacity is always nice, so the ammo cans win--with or without the orange number plates added. I wonder what Shad and Givi have for that bike??
You could likely mcgyver a plate mount there, have the plate be mounted facing the back of the bike like normal, but using the pipe bracket as the mounting point
I like the water proof boxes the most, bag next, either plate is fine but i do like utility more. I think an orange oval plate with black text would be best for plates.
If you want to do the ammo can look I would just go get a couple steel GI styles ones, those are dirt cheap and bomb proof and I'd be worried about those plastic ones sitting in the UV rays and getting all that vibration. That said I think old school brown leather saddle bags would look cooler.
I like the Torque bags, because they sit closer to the frame. If you could figure out how to mount the ammo cans closer, they'd look better and have more capacity. If you really want the number plates, I would not only match the orange closely to the paint, but also invert the colors on the number plate - orange background with black number.
If you wanna stick with the ammo cans or number plates, maybe you could use those brackets you have to offset the mounting to be behind the shocks and closer to the seat because with the big spacers I feel like it looks a little odd sticking out so far. For the number plates I prefer the round ones, and it could go either way with the black-on-white or orange-on-black, but either way I think a slimmer font would work better than the really chunky font.
First of, It is your bike, so you should be the one making decisions and everyone else should repect that. The white plates started growing on me tbh. My preference would probably be - oval shape, black background and orange numbers.
I would like to see the number sticker on the bags to see what it looks like that way you got your numbers and the bags your 2nd bag option looks really good too
