Im 40 andmy whole life my old man told me “buzzbaits are only for hot summer days” - so naturally i ended up not fishing them much at all throughout the years. Last night up here in NY i went out with a 1/2oz strike king bluegill pattern buzzer with a bootail soft plastic trailer to match and i had the single best day/night of fishing in my life and it was all from the bank! Needless to say its now contender for top confidence lure. Thanks Randy.

Hi Randy would you consider doing a video on when to put the fast moving or horizontal moving baits down and switch to a jig or shaky head? And how to mentally make the change in your fishing. I find it hard to know when to pitch a jig rather than throw a crankbait or spinnerbait.

My allergies have been horrible this year and the best thing for itchy eyes is an eye drops called Naphcon A. I keep a bottle in the bass cat all year

Randy thanks. As a “Vintage” guy, I appreciate your teaching. I heard you mention on all your channels about your skirt tying box. Personally I enjoy messing around with baits, however with all the choices out there it’s a bit overwhelming as to what to get and how it’s done. So skirt tying is a request. Not fishing related but when I'm stuffy for whatever reason I have learned a trick from an old timer that works great. With a garlic press I'll squish a clove or two of garlic and also a chunk of jalapeño. Mix it with a bit of honey and about 1/8 to 1/4 shot of either tequila or whiskey. You're welcome
What about those of us in South Florida where our water is in the 80s and 90s for 10 months or more a year 😉
In most situations for myself I haven't like or done well with very loud baits, like a a clacker buzz or even rattling cranks. I much prefer more silent baits 99% of the time, even in stained water. Those fish can hunt minnows in water at night! They don't need rattles or any other loud noises to find your lure.

Absolutely!! I caught tons of very nice, 3-6 lb bass this june alone on a BooYah clacker, a Jamaica Boa clacker, and a Zombie clacker, made in FL.
And I live in Ky.

Advanced means you can put props on the spinnerbaits....and attachment trailer of any kind....and premium eyes....and the body moves. I really need to get on the scene and teach these amaters.
Randy, Since Megabass just dropped an entire line of BFS hard baits, are we going to see you pick up a couple of combos and try them out so you can accurately advertise the baits? I cant see you liking it at all but Megabass runs the show at the Blaukat house it seems.

Funny buzzbait..River 2 sea whopper plopper buzzbait..😂 I bought it a couple years ago, just for something different...looked gimmicky...I threw it one day & got some really vicious strikes...couple nice size bass, which bent the wires up...But hey, it worked for a couple hours lol

I've been making my own buzz & spinner baits for years and fly with skirts. AS to your allergies, the leaf blower stirred up the pollen in the bait room. We've got another month of the sniffles. That pollen sticks to everything walls, floors & clothes. I use an air filter to ease my misery.

Lost me with the clacker hate. Your beloved Jamaica Boa has a clacker “chamber”. I made four CONSECUTIVE casts on June 26th of this year, catching four bass from 19 1/2” up to 21 3/4 “, in less than 2’ of water, FROM A SINGLE BRUSHPILE. A clacker is ALL I throw the entire month of june, until early July, then I retreat to less noisy clackers, like the Boa. I believe you are relating this “time and again” experience to NOT using it! My opinion, and we all have them.
