The internals are concerning. I see no lithium protection circuitry whatsoever: they run the cells directly to the motherboard. That's pretty dangerous
They also are running 3 cells in series, which gives it a nominal voltage of 11.1. They are using the stock Wii regs, which cut off the system if the voltage drops below 11v. So the system would shut off when the battery isn't even half dead
Very interesting option. The form factor and monitor aspect ration is very interesting option, and if they made this more of an general emulator for other consoles, would make this more valuable.

I actually really like this and am kinda tempted to buy one. The Gboy is WAY nicer, sure, but there is also an investment of time if you DIY. Also a risk and inherent assumption that you won’t screw up in the process. This is fairly unrefined but comparable in cost and everything is done for you. I like it. That massive 4:3 screen is cool too. Not many handhelds seem to be able to source true 4:3 LCDs
I would love to have this but honestly it's hard for me to go back after Wii emulation. I have so many games running on Dolphin that look so much better upscaled on my PC. Some Wii titles actually look current when upscaled to 1440 or 4k. I absolutely love emulated the Wii and Gamecube.

A PS4 portable would have to be 100% emulation. If they just gutted a PS4 at that point the C-bomb would have already gone off and it wouldn't play physical or digital games.

Well it's clear it wasn't made by some company but just some random guy because the 8" screen is just too big and the two screen size have odd resolution which means games are somewhat upscaled by the monitor and the image we can see is not native... How unfortunate... And the price...

Wouldn't using one of the windows devices like the win 3, neo or onex be better since you get a 1tb ssd so more storage as opposed to using a micro SD and getting barely any storage also I don't trust SD cards they get corrupted alot and don't tend to last
i have bought this which i pick the 8 inch one right well see it run well if i had to rate i would say 7.9 reason why cuz see when i was playing ratatouille right i couldnt even move remy plus when i play a different game after an hour if u is lucky or few minutes my character will start to move on it own cuz my it keep drifting and no i already know why and what the main problem it not the stick i know that what i thought at first when i look at it and play it with some more like unplugging the stick cable etc.. it will still move own it own no matter what game u played so it not the stick at all it is the right side where it controls the d-pad the analog stick that board whatever that is it is a sony mother board controller chip i dont know where it from which system cuz i need to fix mine but i cant even find the right one for it due to it is a 3rd party chip so..... that is my main problem audio is crap as well but playing it on the go tho best choice but as of right now i am just going to by me a wii u and make into a portable
Dolphin emulator, galaxy s21, mounting bracket for ps4 controller, and bluetoothed in...thats the best way to go, much clearer than that screen, and ps4 controller so much more comfortable than these devices, also it can be cast to 4k tv, as long as you are willing to adjust some settings

Instead of buying this just buy a controller for a decent phone and emulate through your phone that's my advice you'll be surprised how well they emulate and save a load of money
Not worth $574 just buy a Wii and a DIY portable kit, or buy one of the kits and commission someone who knows how to solder the components together if you don't know how to do that. At most that'd probably cost $430 given some of the great somewhat cheaper kits out there.
Five hundred fifty dollars? For a wii in a vita case. When the G-Boy: Wii Portable is $300. I don't know who wants to pay 180% for a similar product. I guess you're paying a premium for ease of use and not doing it yourself, but even then, why would you not just do dolphin on a laptop? Seems like a stretch, especially with 3D-printed shoulder buttons.
I do like the concept of portable Wii/GameCube but with dolphin emu offering near 100% accuracy on all its games. I see no reason to buy this. I guess you could argue that it's more simple but if you can transfer your Wii games to a memory card then you could probably set up an emulator. Overall: 6.5/10 From the video it seems to be built pretty good and not having to set up an emulator gives it some points. I took off some points for is overall size and the fact that the memory card just sort of sticks out (which bothers me to no end), but yeah for a semi mass produce portable handheld it's good for what it is.

It should be easy, if you learn how to mod a regular wii, you will know where the games folders are and how to add them.
