Hey Peter! I recently tried this kind of how you did it, so I used this video as a DIY video. I successfully finished it and showed it to my friends. They called me fricken stupid. Thanks!
In my opinion, this is the beginning of Putter Knutter's "modern era". I don't really know how else to describe it. Ever since this video, his commentary and content in general has been a lot more laid back.
Thanks for the motivation. making a portable N64 had been my dream for years but I didn’t want to do it because I don’t have a 3D printer or any tools and to see you just do it THAT easily made me want to try. Now I know what to do
I'm sure everyone reading this already knows, but Nintendo already made a all-in-one with games built in for the Chinese market. It'd be stupid simple for them to slap a screen on it and release it as the 'N64 classic'.
I mean the internet is full of nerds doing all sort of cool stuff with very expensive tools because whatever.... But most of us have no idea what we're doing and when we succeed, the result looks patched up, glue and tape everywhere, etc... This is why this project is cool! Peter is one of us, and I bet that his inner child was exploding of joy after this one!
Imagine seeing a grown man carrying a Tupperware N64 and just screaming at a virtual electric mouse. The concept alone is both hilarious, and concerning.
This was a good watch. You were having fun and realizing and old project. I enjoyed it. And think the final result is pretty cool. I’d add a handle, like the GameCube one.
I love how he actually did make it easy and simple. Like for real there was a video for connecting a Gameboy advanced to a screen, which involved soldering up a new Gameboy with some component in it and then using like three converter s to plug it in to the screen and had the audacity to see it is easy assembly
As a guy who makes things, i was spending the entire video going, "Hes a moron, wait, no, i do that too, wait now hes a genius, whys he being stupid again?" You are like me in alot of ways and it was very fun to watch. Good quality content sir
