Thanks bud! Love the coffee! Lets seal the deal and team up for this trip. The only problem is that I don’t have a roof rack anymore since I don’t have the focus anymore. Well have to figure something out.

Great video! I could smell the coffee from here! I think we've got a larger version , since you took the small one. Been looking for that one for 30 years! LOL!

Yeah I think that mom gave that to me 40 years ago. That coffee pot has a lot of JRP trips on it!

Thanks for the videos, very helpful for me. Do you prefer this purculator or the Stanley Boil+Brew French press? What is more convenient (in any or all ways)? Taste? Etc? I have yet to use them, but i recently and coincidentally purchased both of these things thrift store (purculator $3.50) and sporting goods store (Stanley $25).

Seasons greetings! Thank you for watching my video and commenting! I really appreciate it. As far as your question, the Stanley boil and brew is nice because you can let the coffee steep for as long as you want before you compress it to the bottom. This will give you a mild or stronger coffee. The percolator is kind of the same. Once you see the water start percolating, I personally will watch it until I get a really nice dark color in the sight glass. So again you can make it as strong or a little weaker depending on your taste. There both great coffee makers but I prefer the percolator because it’s small, only four cups and it’s aluminum and super light weight. I take that with me on all my overnight canoe trips because I’m saving weight. I really hope that this helps! If you check out the rest of my channel be sure to get in on the 750 subscriber giveaway. @@pareloader5989 No I guess I didn't, I only received the one reply from you mentioned here, thank you for responding to me. In the last two days I have made coffee at home using both devices, now I'm even more confused as to which one I'll keep in the kitchen and which one to put with my camping gear lol both were easy and both tasted great. I agree with the points that you've made regarding each. For me, maybe the Stanley tasted a bit better, but it was close regardless lol, and like you've also stated either is modified easily simply by how long I let the coffee percolate or sit before pressing. Do you have a taste preference regarding these two?
