    I’ve had RCBS, Redding, and Hornady dies and between Hornady and Lee dies I think I’m good to go. All of my Redding and RCBS dies have rust and have not been very durable, as well as caused many stuck cases even with proper amounts of lube. Lee pistol dies are awesome and I would not hesitate to get their rifle dies to try out for the price.

Also they were in my budget. I reload 556 and 30 30 and have no problems. I deer hunt with 30 30 and I can really fine tune each round. I also get very consistent groups with the rounds that I load. I haven’t reloaded in awhile due to primers being so expensive. I had a local gun shop near me, really small little place but packed to the hilt. Unfortunately the owner passed away and they shut down shop. Now I’m stuck with cabelas. Anyway thanks again for watching. PA

    Does anyone know: does using the Lee undersize die obviate the need to also use a bulge buster die to eliminate the Glock bulge? I now use an aftermarket barrel on my G20, but I do have brass fired through a Glock barrel, so I’ll need to clean that brass up & resize to obtain a round that will properly chamber. Thanks for any help you all may have. Cheers!

    • @pareloader5989

      I use a bulge buster. I don’t have a Glock so unfortunately I can’t tell you if you need that. Sorry. Let me know what you find out and if anyone in the comments know I will let you know. Thanks PA

    • @oldgunowner
      @oldgunowner 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The undersized die doesn't size any lower than the regular sizing die. Your bulge problem is below that area. The only real way to fix the problem is to resize the entire base of the cartrage down to and including the extractor flange. That's what the bulge buster does. If the extractor flange is not out of round I have successfully eliminated the bulge in casings by resizing the case with the normal resizing die. To do this you need to resize the case normally using the resizing die with the primer pin removed then remove the case from the shell plate and place a piece of flat metal in top of the shell plate set the case on the metal and run the case up into the resizing die again. This will resize the case farther down the case removing the bulge. The problem with this is you now need to have a small punch to tap or push the casing out of your sizing die. Be sure that before you do this you disassemble and check that your sizing die has enough internal clearance to allow you to press your casing far enough into your die. Good luck.

    • @pareloader5989
      @pareloader5989 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oldgunowner I totally understand what you’re saying. I have had similar issues also. I would prep my brass and reload it, and when I put it in the case length gage right near the base of the casing it would sometimes get hung up there. About every 20 casings. Very frustrating.

    • @user-wo2rc3bf4x
      @user-wo2rc3bf4x 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oldgunowner I get what you’re saying. I’m going to get an aftermarket barrel for my other Glock too so I don’t have to deal with that anymore. Although, if I buy some once fired 10mm brass I’ll likely have to bulge bust those and or do that process you so accurately described with precision articulation. Thank you for that. We deal in precision, so I very much appreciate when someone can be precise with their articulation of a process. Thanks again for your help. See you out there…Cheers

    Great set up, I am just starting out with reloading and I had a bench made for me that works out really well. It seems like a good bench is usually an afterthought for a lot of new reloaders - but a critical component of the entire process.

    Great video, I just started reloading and bought the Lee Carbide die sets for 45 colt and 45 ACP. I have made a few hundred rounds of each so far - and so far so good. The instructions and info that came with the die sets are very helpful for a first timer like me.

      Yeah I really like that LEE provides color pictures with there die sets. What king of powder thrower are you using? Check out the rest of my channel because I did a video on an adapter so you can use the LEE perfect powder measure right on your turret press. Thank you for watching ! I really appreciate it! PA

      Thanks for watching my video and commenting! Yeah it’s a great loader. I have had mine going on almost 15+ years now. Still cracking out ammo. Just take it apart about every 2500 to 3000 rounds and grease and oil the moving parts. If you grease the spring it really makes the machine quiet. Good luck and have fun! PA
