th-cam.com/video/weqDGBxUtkg/w-d-xo.html
bro really thinks he's creating the hardest quotes of all time when the video isn't even about him 💀
Good lord, you are the most annoying person ever.
the hell did gabe do to you lil bro
I 13 and am about to play green day at my school concert wish me luck I try a pov on my chanle
What songs?
I’ll check it out later lmao
@@gustavsollsrasmussen2255 basket case
Good luck
good luck bro! play your heart out
I see estepario on thumbnail, i click. I am a simple creature.
facts
And then get massively disappointed by this bad video :(
Dude using Estepario for clicks.
agreed
@@scho0420 He's not a good drummer. Sad but true.
@@BariumCobaltNitrog3n Sad thing is large chunk of peeps getting crazy by listen to him but in reality he ruins every single songs he's playing by one of the things good drummer should avoid-everything has its own place and time, overusing drums in every possible aspect just to show off while not sounding good at all.yep people, keep praising
When Eloy sits behind the drums: TURBO MODE activated!!!
Eloy hits so hard, I feel bad for the heads.
Gabe is such a good teacher and drummer!!
It's cool that you show an Archspire song around 1:00, but you should be showing the drummer who came up with the part and originally played it: Spencer Prewett
I mean, I feel like Austin Archey of Lorna Shore should have made this video.
I was surprised he wasn’t in the video too
mehh theres better death metal drummers than him
Drummer god .. Austin archer 💪😜
This is facts.
frrr
2:55 EVGENY NOVIKOV OF SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL!!! LETS GOOO
FUCK YEAHH theyre awsome man!!
"Practicing a song over and over will make us better at it" is a big one for me. My band has written a couple songs where I have things in there that make me go "why did I put this in here? I get it right like half the time" lol. I keep working at em, though!
A great musician can play anything and do it well with little practice. Session musicians are like that. Go to the studio, hear a song for the first time and get it perfect after only a couple run throughs.
@@nyobunknown6983 that just makes you a fast learner lol
@@mondragon9282 No it takes massive talent. knowledge of music and a great ear to become a "fast learner".
The Dude who did the 'barf-beat' & ended his solo with a smile, you Sir, are a friggen Legend ❕️🥁❕️
Totally agree
Has everyone forget about George Kollias? He still plays and Nile has a new album coming out soon.
Yes I was abit dissapointed
Story of my life as an death/black metal head, most other metal heads have no idea about it lol I was waiting for Hellhammer too.
@@lordwrath9621 indeed, or even Derek Roddy
@@TacticalSwedishBurrito Ah yes mr Roddy! No doubt you and I are thinking about the same video!
@@TacticalSwedishBurrito Estepario is famous just for been in tik tok, ok let be honest, he plays really good but other drummers play much faster like george kollias from nile or eugene from flesh god apocalipse or have more groove like Eric Moore, Tony royster and others like that, and dont even talk about older drummers like virgil donati, Dennis chamber, vinnie colaiuta simon Philips etc etc.
Spencer Prewitt, Archspire
Surprised he isn't always on top of the conversation of any talk about fasted metal drummers.
Slaughter to prevail drummer holds his sticks upside down as well.
Wdym upside down if he meeds the back part he can just get fulls
when someone who's talking about drums don't talk about eloy more than 10 seconds... shows how eloy is a sick drummer. have no words to talk about him.. ❤
I'm 29, started a few days ago and love playing routines over and over again. It's like learning a mechanic in a boss fight and a good way for me to measure progress.
heavy metal & double kick in certain instances also gives me goosebumps. i think it has somthing to do with certain frequencies that resonate withyou personally
Whenever I am having a bad day, all I have to do is put on the video of the death metal hell cat and I am instantly in a better mood. I laugh every time I see that plush cat tear a hole in the sky. The best part is the lady clapping along like this is exactly what every children's song should sound like. It is so good. Thank you for including it. It gave me a laugh on a post holiday Monday.
It's actually an apple, possessed by the spirit of a cat... and yes, Japan do be like that. Nyango Star's the name, slaying drum is the game.
I purchased the 30 Day Double Kick Mastery course and after just a few days I'm already seeing massive improvement.
That vid in particular was very inspirational. There was a lot to take from it and apply to daily life. When you feel like you have nothing left, change your focus and perspective. Get busy. ❤
Chris Turner is truly a gem. Probably the most underrated drummer of metal. I don't particularly like Oceans Ate Alaska because it's too extreme , but the drumming is commendable to say the least
@7:25 Same, I for sure get goosebumps from insanely fast double kick sometimes
You should do a video dedicated to David Diepold. Or maybe Mike Mangini.
Nils Dominator missing 😂
Absolutely! The guy is incredibly fast. I've seen him with Nordjevel and Odium. He is a machine...
@1:50 that kid just went full Buddy Rich like he was in concert for the Americas with Frank Sinatra. LoL
Looking forward to part+ with e.g.: Spencer Prewett - Archspire / Francesco Paoli - Fleshgod Apocolipse / Aaron Kitcher - Infant Annihilator
Just listen to ARCHSPIRE.
My thoughts exactly
Spencer Pruett is a beast
@@NexusofLight777 Big time beast. They just keep getting better and better too
Yeah, technical death metal is insane
I cant wait to hear the sheer technical insanity that their release after the Bleed the Future masterpiece will bring.
Lot of incredibly talented musicians here.
I still remember the insane solo Travis did while on tour with Blink 182 at Allentown, PA like 20 years ago, waited hours to get that spot in the front row and it was totally worth it.
@ 5:40 That!
In the previous century, I was helping out a band on the drums and during a live performance, the intoxicated AF singer tripped and fell on the drumset!
I just kept on playing with what was still standing and the crowd loved it!
Thank God for that incident, otherwise they'd find out what I actually can play...
My friend who is a kickboxer, once said "speed is power and power is speed", strenght.
Were talking about a leg traveling with the speed and power (force) to break bones and turn your intestines into mush. Basic physics, the laws of motion.
Everything is about technique, master that and you can have both speed and power in your control.
In riccardo training video. He explains how he uses his biceps and wrist to move the stick. The fingers are just a guide
I know who the first one is. Aaron Kitcher for Infant Annihilator and the song is called Decapitation Fornication
As a metal drummer myself, I love watching the faces other people make when playing fast haha
I’m here patiently waiting to see the pine knob video man my neck still hurts from head banging lol definitely my favorite performance I’ve ever seen
It’s also worth pointing out triggers vs no triggers
@10:51 - Damn, didn't know Kylo Ren could drum like that... I mean, where does he find time for a music hobby between the Sith tantrums, force-chokes, and rage!?!?
John Longstreth is definitely missing.
I was surprised Evgeny Novikov (2:55) from Slaughter To Prevail didn't get a mention for either power, or foot speed though. I would place them both above his gravity blasts.
Bass drum pedals do make a great difference. I was using a generic Sonor single bass pedal for about 15 years, when I purchased the Jojo Mayer pedal, my doubles and triplets on were insanely faster, smooth as butter.
Speed is not only practice but personal gift
Btw Riccardo Merlini actually has his own technique that involves twisting the wrist
10:09 I absolutely agree with your point, but Bleed isn’t really harder with one hand. Also it sounds worse cause you don’t get the snare+hi hat hit. But playing the song faster, slower or adding new fills, polyrhythms, ghostnotes, playing things with single pedal instead of double pedal is a good thing to do.
3 minute gang!
Love your videos man, it's helped me progress in my drumming a lot. Looking to starting a band some day
You should check out Anthony the-blast-beats Barone, Austin the-sleeping-drummer Archey, Tim the-heavy-hitter Molloy, Rob the-sexy-restrained-drummer Bourdon. Austin is Lorna Shore's drummer, Tim is with Our Last Night, and Rob has always been with Linkin Park. Barone keeps hopping.
one of the fastest drummer was Mick Harris the first drummer of Napalm Death ....find some video of him he was pretty impressive ...is one of the first to do blast beat
Gabe, you forgot to mention that Evgeny plays with his sticks reversed. So those gravity blasts he's hitting are actually with the fat part of the sticks, not to tips. Crazy
I like Thomas Lange… he does it with traditional grip AND matched grip.
Can you have a video impressions on Rickson Ruiz and Michael Alba, two of the best drummers in the Philippines please🙏🙏
8:39 this guy is one of the best
Those huge drums sticks are so crazy. I'd have to imagine it would feel like taking the weights/donut off a bat barrel after playing with them for a minute hahaha
Travis's drum technique is inspired by boo's drummer from around the 00's. Check that drummer out....he is quite crazy actually.
I’m so glad you reacted to Evgeny novikov he’s one of my favorite drummers
One of the craziest things I ever had happen to me while playing live was having my cymbal stand fall over. Guitarist was right in the middle of ripping a solo, and the cymbal cut his cable clean in half.
Evgeniy (the gravity blast guy) is probably my favourite drummer ever after Joey (RIP, he will always be the goat. Slaughter To Prevail is often described as Slipknot but Russian and heavier and I feel like he has a similar style to Joey in that way. Love the guy!!! Best drummer and band I’ve seen live. Their shows are smth else!
Austin Archey bass drums give me goosebumps too and I never touched any drums in my life.
3:14 - the way he's able to get a powerful snare roll is by editing and using triggers/samples...
You hit the nail right on the head!
Eugene Ryabchenko
David Diepold
Ken Bedene
Kevin Paradis
Simon Schilling
?
Nils "Dominator" Fjellström
You should also check out Tatsuya Amano from Crossfaith, this drummer is a beast
0:38 you don't need gear but in that case you need a quntize button (this shit was comfired fake years ago)
Thanks!
the drummer for slaughter to prevail has some other insane gravity blasts
The only thing I don't understand about this master class is how come only a certain amount of people are allowed to sign up. Like why didn't Gabe just make it like a normal online course that you could just pay for an access at any time cuz I can't pay for it right now but like what if I wanted to like in the future or something?
the drum playthrough of the skin thief by nekrogoblikon is one of the most insane things ive ever seen. i feel its underated
I be an awesome drummer you need control of your hands and feet. My friend has one that at times would hit his sticks out of his hands. He mastered that and never lost his sticks (unless they broke).
6:50 Editor points at China instead of Snare when Gabe says "Eloy absolutely smacking that snare"
he pointed at eloy
Well I miss some in here…
II from Sleep Token
Darkside from Mgła/Kriegsmachin
Austin Archey from Lorna Shore
Nils Fjellström from Nordjevel(?? He changes bands a lot)
3:10 his name is Evgenii Novikov, he is drummer for Slaughter to Prevail
When you mentioned Eloy and powerful drummers, you should've also mentioned the Mike Smith formerly of Suffocation. His hands are a battering ram on steroids.
That man is the fucking innovator of all that is blasting!
that first guy, i honestly think he should implement a cowbell.
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - doot~
Oki Fadhlan, Roy Ibrahim, etc.. INDONESIA ❤
I remember making a drum kit when i was 8 or 9 from my mothers old kitchen ware, pans, pots, kettles, lids, sives, Etc. and played them with chopsticks as drumsticks.
Also i made some samples back in the day playing those same things with drumsticks, but they got lost cos my old PCs HDD decided to die on me.
Love your content always do but im kinda sad that Dave lombardo the godfather of double bass did not get a mention im not even a slayer fan in particular but i recognize greatness whem i see it and dave has that
Same here… and no Vinnie Paul
Shouldve included Vobiscum Satanas by Dark Funeral being played by Nils 'Dominator' Fjellstrom
wasn't a good idea to have that Sushi before the session lol
9:20 I freaking love bleed be
8:30 esteparios double bass sounds like a bike silencer (royal enfield) 😅❤
No Lord Marco n Spencer Prewett?
Real question here, I'm 57 (in my mind I still feel 27) and I've always wanted to learn to play the drums. I do have a really bad right knee but what I'm wondering is, do you all think it's possible for my old ass to learn or is this a younger person's instrument? This has been a lifelong dream but I see these rapid fire feet and watching people like El Estepario Siberiano do these insanely crazy timing drums where it's like he has an individual thinking brain in each limb, so now I'm losing confidence this will ever happen for me. I'm hoping to start taking lessons next year. Am I just dreaming an unrealistic dream?
Uhh correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't electronic kits essentially a bunch of trigger pads? Id like to see the first guy play that on an acoustic kit
The video is edited tbf. He’s from the band Infant Annihilator and they use drum machines in their songs. The drummer has done some playthroughs but aside of that they never play live, and those are sped up videos of him drumming with the official audio tracks put over
@@fabril2673 Having trouble following what your saying. Its a bunch of run on sentences and I'm a guitar player. But I think you are backing up my point by saying they never play live, they use drum machines and the audio of this video was edited? Sounds like Tom foolery to me
You should also check out lord
Marco, anthony barrone, and of course john longstreth! They are fast as fuck boi!
Search for the bucket drum busker on here, he's been around travelling worldwide and I've seen him in person, I filmed him on my old phone a few years back in Glasgow Scotland
1:23-1:28 Chad Smith made my day
Miss Leo Padua, mexican drummer of banda, Los Viejos
Bro can you review Vic Mercado - a famous drummer in the Philippines, especially the song "Waiting in Vain" and "As the Music Plays the Band" he is playing the drums in that song.
Great video
What do you think about Mike Portnoy, he wasnt in here and I would love to know
2:58 that's Slaughter to Prevail's drummer playing Viking. he also did a drum play through on Alex Terrible's channel, including KOD he just did.
It's Baba Yaga, not Viking
@@anonymousinternetaddict wut? I thought it's Viking at first as far as I can tell by the blast beat.
wait, is this the same song where Nik Nocturnal joins in?
@Rusli1659LPSoldier it's not Viking, it has different vocals. And it's not Demolisher, it's definitely Baba Yaga
@@anonymousinternetaddict oh okay.
Gotta say Mike Mangini is kinda proffessor in Time signatures too
Hi!
Would've loved to see Eugene Ryabchenko and Shuhei 修平 Kamada, give them a listen, pretty cool dudes
Now I really wonder how someone can compare the unique way Eloy hits the snare and the toms with the other guy, which is very technical and fast but just plain and composed.
There was a quote missing from Anthony Barone, one of the best drummers in my opinion.
This is really not the time to insult our robot overlords.
Chris Turner is a great percussionist and a solid comparison, but I bet Alex "Grind" Pelletier from despised Icon could give them both a run for their money or the prodigy Luke Holland of course.
So true, unless there is a real malfunction of the gear do not blame the gear. It is almost always the player. Like in the guitar world if John 5 can kick duff with a toy Hello Kittie guitar (with real strings). Then it is possible to be entertaining and still show your skills.
Matt has some sick pockets
Honestly, kicking with shoes are easier than without but without shoes so comfortable😂😂😂😂
You forgot to mention the godfather of metal drummers. Dave Lombardo!
Was praying for Elliot Hoffman being mentioned towards the end..
4:14 That intro reminds me of Adonai by O C Supertones.
