    I’m currently doing the same conversion myself and was wondering if I can run the stock ba exausht system, would it fit a dump pipe? Hope to hear back

    • @oldskoolonly
      @oldskoolonly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not unless you made something up, the stock system is heaps smaller. Hope that helps 👍🏻

    Strange cause I’ve seen another conversion where it won’t run on turbo fuel pressure regulator?

      @@oldskoolonly okay cool is yours a bf ? I’m doing a conversion and I had two bar map sensor and it started but cut out soon after. Changed back now, do you have to use the original vacuum and tee into it with the bov? And the other vacuum side cut and melt to form a seal?

    • @oldskoolonly
      @oldskoolonly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep BF. Won’t run properly with the turbo map sensor until it’s tuned. I don’t understand the other question

    Hi love your videos..I have a Territory 2005 and has the standard Barra engine and I've seen the Turbo version of the territory rwd Ghia..So if I was to just put a turbo as you have shown n I'll be sweet.??. In the original turbo territory it has the turbo intercooler on-top of the engine,so can I only use a top one or can the intercooler go in front?..Hope to hear back from you..Jason.

      Sounds good man, can’t see why you couldn’t mount it in the front, I’m sure it’s been done before

    Hey mate, brilliant video! About to undertake the same myself.
    One question if I may 🙏
    Oil drain.... did you not take the sump off when drilling? Metal shavings in the sump doesn't sound good to me,even with an oil change 😕

    • @oldskoolonly
      @oldskoolonly  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers man. You can anything if you’re careful enough. Especially with alloy.. A very sharp drill bit and some grease 🤟🏻

    Why disable the broadband in the manifold? you will loose bottom end torque and have slower spool. also if it's not fixed in the open position you will loose a lot of top end.

    • @oldskoolonly
      @oldskoolonly  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t understand your question. Disabling it, locks it open

    • @the-THORNSPAWN

      @@oldskoolonly Which looses bottom end torque and increases spool time. they were removed in factory turbo purely for cost saving.

      @@oldskoolonly I worked at ford engine plant from EL to BF2, while working in turbo sub assy it was one of the questions I asked the engineers. they said the extra bottom end performance wasn't worth the cost.

      @@oldskoolonly I believe the term is Dynamic Charging and has something to do with Helmholtz Resonance? don't quote me though.
      Basically attempting to utilize intake wave pulse at low RPM to cram more air into the cylinder.

      Shouldn’t be related to the conversion, did it run properly beforehand?

  • @paulcooper715
    @paulcooper715 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Paul, great videos with a heap of easy to follow info. Can I ask, did you have much trouble with drilling out the sump for the oil return and with the dyno tune you had done, was the 270rwkw on a hub or roller dyno? Cheers.

    • @oldskoolonly
      @oldskoolonly  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers man. No issues with the sump, just get’r done. If you’re not confident, pull the sump off. Roller Dyno
