- The Vento as a project car, is often overshadowed by the prominence of the Polo’s cult following. However, the proposition of building a Vento up brings extra rear space and a bigger boot, which can be the difference to convince your family to bring home a project car that has the potential to become a pretty sweet ride, we had the chance to take a Stage 2 Volkswagen Vento for a spin and tell you guys all about the experience of owning and building a Vento 1.5 TDI.

I have commented a lot of times. These guys really fail to show proper stats. It's all just about talking and the camera angle shows his face mostly whenever he drives which is a big let down.
Hi Arjun, we would love to show you proper stats, you tell us where do we do it but? Testing 0-100 kmph, 1/4 miles and all on public roads is so dangerous especially in India. If you're ready to give us a test track, we'll do anything and everything you want. We are not interested in putting ourselves in danger and others even more so. Hope you understand.
@@TheDriversHub Definitely I understand what you said. But you really don't need a test track to time 0- 100, in gear acceleration figures from 2rd,3rd ,4th or 5th and limited to 100 or 120. This gives a perspective for the viewers how well the tuned car performs. I too don't encourage doing these speeds dangerously but it is doable safely. There are a lot of empty stretches to try out these runs in the outskirts of B'luru/Chennai/Mysuru/Hyderabad depending on the city you shoot videos. As a viewer I am not really interested in 1/4 mile or top speed - Maybe for these test tracks are recommended.
Again, we totally agree that you guys deserve those stats, but no road in India is safe enough for this. Especially the acceleration tests you have mentioned are towards higher speeds which is even more dangerous cause our road quality is so bad and our roads in general are so unpredictable. Even if we get the balls to do it, doing it in someone else's prized possession is something that doesn't fit our philosophy. Plus, our time with such vehicles is so limited, we can't do everything.
Maybe down the line once we are rich enough, we will buy our own track, and do all of these shenanigans in a safe and controlled environment!

Im glad this video came out! I absolutely miss my tuned Skoda Rapid 1.6 TDI, really took me back to my 18 year old self just starting out in the car scene!
My dad's daily driver was a polo 1.2 tdi and it used to sound the same as my dad's Mahindra Arjun tractor! 🤣
And I got a quote of 2Lakh for just the intercooler 😅 for vento…..and that’s a huge difference. Hats off to the person who quoted me😂

Yes it possible to service at 5k. Just do it at your known mechanic
i have same car .. yes it takes 5-6k for full service with synthetic oil , but all this from outer garage only,
not from company workshop.
@@sizzlermoneyNo way just the oil and filters will cost you 6.5-7k. One will be looking at 8-9 k including labor charge and car wash.

Stock vento 1.5 DSG gives 15-18 in city conditions but I’m guessing for a stage 2, 12kmpl is actually quite good?

Bro, I hv Skoda 1.6 MPI AT in Bangalore. Amazing car, need remapping of engine, Suggest good place for engine work.
No use remapping it. Remap is only for turbocharged or supercharged engines

Absolutely! Great platform to tune actually, the 2.0 TDI is very responsive to tuning plus the 4x4 will make it quite the tuner car!

Hey bro. What type of diesel do you fill it up with? Normal or premium? I am asking because bs6 fuel has low sulphur which may be responsible for damaging the injectors. Is this true?

How are the injectors doing 😅. The TSIs are a safe bet for tuning. The stock car(Vento) has hefty power and torque, so why risk it with the remap. Pls do mention the cons while reviewing.
Do injectors of VW diesel vento go bad??
They broke up around 60k kms and not a great bet for tuning especially diesel
@@Indranil2050 yes they do. Reliability issue is there. At times, there is a chance of fuel/oil leakage in the injector head. After the VW software fix, one of my injectors failed and they replaced it in goodwill. Moreover in VW authorised workshop, if one of the injectors fail, they recommend to replace as a whole. So be careful while tuning diesel engines
@@akhilbabu9756 is there anything to do with the diesel we use now. Since bs6 diesel has less sulphur. Can it be the reason??
@@Indranil2050 I think so. I haven’t researched much into this topic. 1.6 tdis are more prone to this issue since the engines are German made. 1.5 tdis were manufactured via make in India prog.
