For now let’s wait patiently 😅❤….Also there is no surprise that Hyundai Verna is pushing great numbers, because the 1.5 Tgdi is actually derived from the 1.6 TGDi which is there in the i20 N international model which is a potent unit. So now you know why Verna outperforms Virtus😉❤

Car reviewers.. stop saying the blanket statement : dq200 is bound to fail. First, have the data to back up the claim. Just a few team bhp reviews and a handful of dsg replacement doesn't mean a globally used gearbox will fail everytime.
Actually not few but many many failures of this gearbox especially when you see old skoda superb petrol dq 200 failed too much but diesel superb with dq250 almost never fails not even close Dq200 was one of the reasons for poor resales of skoda superb and other cars

Damn that exhaust sound was painfully bad 😨 With all these mods in mind, it’s almost a 25lk car. There are better platforms with proven reliability to start with if you’re going down the tuning route in the used car market. Even a used Octavia with the tried and tested E888 would make so much more sense than this. Might not be too hard to extract power from this engine but the clutch, flywheel etc I believe have very low tolerance for the extra torque. Might not be worth tuning this car after all.

I driven all main sedans sold in indian market and verna feels lifeless in comparison to those cars even hollywood movies like Fast&furious makes fun of Hundai Also my friend owns a verna crdi and he is about to sell it because it’s warranty period is over and the car is extremely unreliable it’s turbo had to be changed twice and a whole lot of other problems my cousin has a Honda city and he hasn’t faced a single issue till date its been 3 years the fit and finish the comfort of the seats and the high revving ivtec it makes u feel alive unlike the soulless hubsai cars

380nm torque on the DQ200? God save the gearbox. There was a saying that the DQ200 can't go beyond 250 without blowing the gearbox..
I think you have your numbers mixed up. DQ200 cant go beyond 250bhp, cars currently have 150bhp in stock. Torque limit is different.

It can handle upto 350 and with a kevlar clutch upgrade DQ200 can handle 450nm+ torque.

Dont u know torque limit for dq 200 is 250nm it used to fail in diesel vento because it cannot handle sudden Torque surges and agressive driving..

Even at 250nm that is bound to fail at 70-120k kms a ticking time bomb
GT MT is the one for tuning and would really like to see a tune for 1.5 tgdi and how does it perform in the long run.
If at all possible retrofit and replace DQ200 with DQ250, then tuning Virtus 1.5 to Stage 2 makes sense. Otherwise DQ200 will be a ticking time bomb.

If you want to tune your car the 1.5 tgdi in the Verna is your best bet. Handles better than the virtus too. No brainer.
