I still remember, my father and I also often shook our heads when this song started playing. And everything has changed everything. My father died of covid and when I play this song, I always think of my father. I hope he will meet the rest of my family in heaven. Rip my dad, i always love you

This will always be one of my absolute favourites being the first epica song I ever heard.
Uploaded in 2009..... Music like this just gets better and better as the years go by. How people can listen to mainstream pop and cry at those concerts while priceless music like this exists is beyond me.
Single came out in 2004 (if I remember well).
We played it with my first band called "No Prayer". (then I got a job, and the dream was over)
I remember I teached our (very good metal) drummer how to play the march intro.
(I was on the keyboards playing violin and singing back vocal parts.)
I almost forgot about this band and song. First listened to it back in 05 when I was in college and this is my first time hearing it again after so long. MY GOD this is so awesome

This is such an awesome and inspirational song. Epica did a really good job with this. It has touched my heart and I feel this song especially speaks to me. I believe it really had me thinking now and it changed my life. I must follow my common sense, because I cannot try to hide myself anymore behind my fantasy world that had me alone and miserable and took me on a dark path. If any of the band members of Epica can read this, thank you for writing this song and changing my life. It has given me a positive personal message and boosted one of my most important moral values.
