This is a wonderful series! I cannot tell you how much I enjoy seeing everyday people tell their stories of collecting watches. Thank you for bringing this series to us. Great interview, great work as always.
I love this forum and real down to Earth. I’d love to see more of these with just the average watch collectors. There are many of us 8 to 5ers who are collectors with great collections. It’s not only a passion for the rich and famous. Many of us have great stories of collecting our watches. Great job Teddy!
Thank you, my friend. These are some of our favorite videos to produce and I am glad that the theme and feel are landing with those that watch. We hope to do many more. Enjoy your Friday!
I agree the guest isn’t average… I guess I meant a collector whose collection is about the passion for collecting… collecting what you like and not following the trend. This was refreshing and the message of collecting what you like and not buying a watch for the sake of doing so, and I can relate. My collection is currently at 300 watches; vintage, modern, independent and top brands as well. I know where each one came from and why it was purchased. I wear them all, from my 1960s Mickey Mouse to my top tier pieces. All that to say a great video. :)
Excellent interview, Teddy. You gotta love a guy who pours a bag of watches onto a table. The hobby needs unpretentious collectors like this guy and you did a fine job helping him tell his story.
This has got to be one of the best collector’s conversation videos I’ve seen. The stories shared and the connection he has with his watches were simply fascinating!
Came for the watches, stayed for the stories. Thank you Teddy for featuring stories from unique and interesting individuals whose experiences with their watches perfectly sum up the passion behind what it means to be a watch enthusiast.
Teddy is picking up where Hodinkee dropped the ball. They used to be the source for cool stories from real people, now everything’s coming up Teddy. Which is so smart. Instead of people filming their own collection videos, he will do it professionally and make it look and sound great
This is probably one of my favourite collector videos by anyone on any channel. Someone that clearly loves watches, but has no time or concept of the watch collector BS. The dremel engraving is an absolute highlight! :D
This guy rules. Leave it to Teddy to interview someone that might raise a few eyebrows but then he’s like “No, TRUST me… this man has some killer tales.”
One of the best interviews you've had, a genuine person who is passionate about his job and the watches he has acquired in relation to his work. Love the fact that he deposits his collection on the desk in a pile which kinda told us his mindset of having them as tools , utilitarian objects, but with memories related to important moments of his career/life. Great guy keep doing what you love !
Pretty unique perspective. It's really interesting seeing different collectors on their different journeys. His isolation from the general watch-collecting community meant the marketing he was exposed to was very different, more from representation in movies than word-of-mouth. He also doesn't baby his watches, that much is clear. And I wish he went into more detail on how much abuse the watches themselves suffered during stunts: A cheap quartz watch can out-survive a Casio if there's a beefy stuntman between it and the floor to absorb the impact from the fall. His confidence with how he handles the watches kinda makes me more relaxed about how I treat mine: If they can survive being worn by a stuntman, they'll probably survive anything I encounter in my daily life.
What a fantastic and diverse collection this guy has, loved the part at the end where he revealed he has mapped out areas of the lake and has been scuba diving trying to recover the sub he lost there ,True passion for the hobby right there. Love sit downs like this Teddy.
This is much more the kind of thing I like to see. A person who is real and thinks about the function of the watch and what it is for them rather than just what everyone else will think.
"40 and still alive" inscribed with the dremel on the caseback and here I am, worried about the lugs scratching from spring bars when I change straps. Epic
This guy has pure love and joy in his eyes for his career and for his hobby within his career. Can’t make this up. Such a big inspiration this is so awesome and makes me love this hobby even more. This is amazing, love this video! I hope you’ll do more
Rough and tumble collection with a guy that appreciates and isn’t afraid to wear/use his collection. Watches aren’t made for cases and boxes, they’re made for wrists.

Teddy, this was one of my FAVORITE vids you've done, and you've done some amazing vids in the past! I just connected so well with Tom's story and utilitarian use of his watches. Just brilliant and thank you for consistently providing some of the best content on the inter-webs!!
You can feel the passion for his watches through the video!! Makes me really think about the watches I own... well done Teddy for getting Tom on! More of this, please!
Thanks Teddy and Tom for sharing your story. Enjoyed every minute of it. And I especially appreciate seeing affordable watches being fully appreciated and being used in real ways. Kudos to both of you!
Super entertaining. As a total watch geek and loved the stories and the watches. Bravo Tony!! Very well done. ( I must admit I cringed a little when he dumped the watches out of the bag, but after getting to know him a bit through the video, it didn't seem so bad and was a bit more understandable. ) Thank you!!
This was a great collector interview. These interviews are so much better and more interesting than celebrities. You should definitely do more of these. Great video Teddy!!
You could call this (almost) the regular guy's watch collection - no connection with the flex/influencer set, just someone who just seriously digs watches. Wonderful!
Thanks Teddy for introducing such a wonderful man to us. Thomas, your enthusiasm and relentless spirit to feature your personal watches in your roles out of passion is a mark of a genuine hobbyist. I enjoyed every minute of your interview and hope you reunite with your lake watch. Keep well. Faithfully.
This series is awesome. Tom is a cool dude with cool stories for his cool watches. Definitely looking forward to more interviews with various professionals.
Enthusiasts like these are the reason I got into watches. Does he know every specific manufacturing and mechanistic detail about his watches? Probably not, but does he use his watches and wear them as the original founders of each of these companies and watch houses intended? Hell yes. This interview is a good reminder for all of us to enjoy the luxuries we have because life is short and I'd rather enjoy each moment with a watch on my wrist instead of a safe queen in the vault
This is far more interesting than people with unlimited budgets showing off their watches. While I appreciate all facets, this is what makes Watch collecting so rich and interesting. This man shared every story related to his watch collection and what an interesting selection of stories. The utility side of his collection and the boldness with him wanting to wear them in extreme circumstances while also showcasin them is so cool. I always look to see what people in action wear while onset in movies.
Awesome guest and awesome collection. Just to echo other sentiments, loved hearing a passionate collector who has a such an obvious relationship and shared experience w his collection. His watches are lived-in and personal. Love that he modded his SKX and bead blasted then blacked out his Panerai. Also YES! Why are spring bars the dominant technology for fastening straps?!?!

I really enjoy listening to Tom's telling his life story on all his watch collection " U can feel his passionate by the adventures journey with his every timepiece thru all his worklife as a stuntman " I wish & hope to meet him in person someday talking watches ❤❤❤
What a great video. It’s been said already but a real down to earth discussion with a total watch nerd and man of action. Seeing tool watches in movies had a huge influence on me as well. You have to make another video with this guy if he finds his Sub!

"Watch collecting was a solo journey". I can relate exactly to how you grew up loving watches. Starting with seiko's and swatches that I loved as a kid and now into the bigger luxury brands as well. The watch community is certainly different nowadays. Great interview!
Probably one of the best I have seen. A true professional that is both a collector and a enthusiast of watches. This video was great to see and see the journey he has been on. Hopefully he finds his Rolex at the bottom of the lake than you can do a update video.
I really enjoyed this video. What a great story from this guy, so many interesting memories, so unpretentious, his enthusiasm is contagious. Thanks Teddy!
How unexpectedly interesting! Tom the Stuntman and his watch stories (I almost couldn't believe when he just dumped his watches out of that fabric pouch onto the table). I also pay attention to watches (not just the Bond Omegas) in movies and on TV. This was a great interview.

Teddy, you are killing it! I love the variety in your videos. Just as another famous channel has lost my respect by focusingon bling and fame, you've continued to improve your content across the board. You've interviewed "regular" guys with unique careers and collections yet you've also gained the trust and respect of Kevin O'Leary and CEOs and reps from the height of Swiss watch making. Keep it up! I love your approach and perspective.

Best episode yet. This series is amazing. It shows people who actually use the watches for their intended purpose, and beat the living hell out of them. This is true horological content.
What an episode Teddy. This Mr. Tom beats Mark Whalberg's ultra luxurious expensive watches. He s a true Rockstar. It is the stories behind our beloved watches truely makes them priceless.
Would love to see you do more interviews with collectors, especially enthusiasts who don’t have almost unlimited means. I think looking at other people’s collections is fascinating
Again, more actual "working" watches. I know this is "just for the movies" but it's clear he actually uses these watches and they need to be tough, in addition to his real world diving. I really appreciate it when watches are used as the tools they are supposed to be. It's a pity that some of these (like Rolex) became such "symbols" that they are no longer very accessible to the people that really should be using them. But it's certainly nice to see someone using them.
