Exclusive Interview With Teddy Baldassarre at His Watch Store

- I went to Cleveland to visit @TeddyBaldassarre's new store in Crocker Park. I sat down with Teddy and discussed his journey from TH-cam creator to Authorized Watch Retailer, as well as his relationship with Shark Tank star Kevin O'Leary (we finally get the answer to whether Kevin is an investor). Teddy also took me on a tour of the new store and the new brands the store carries.

Very nice, but as I recall, The East side suburbs is where the rich clientele reside in Cleveland. Haven’t been to Cleveland in a long time, but I remember Beachwood Mall was the place to shop for luxury goods.

I recall watching Teddy at the beginning of his journey and realizing I knew more about watches than he did. But he’s kept at it, following his passion and doing well. Congrats to him!

From what I understand he comes from a very wealthy family. But he is obviously very motivated and passionate or he wouldn't have the success he has had. Takes more than money to make a business successful.
Great interview with Teddy. It’s nice to hear Teddy’s entrepreneurial story and how he eventually was able to be successful to have a brick and mortar watch boutique. As a watch enthusiast, I’ve been able to see all of his episodes. I enjoy the content he brings to the watch collecting world. I strongly feel Teddy will continue to be successful.

I watch Teddy to get honest reviews and to see some lesser known brands and watches. That’s the brand for me. Too many TH-camrs just review the same small set of “popular” brands and watches. Keep up the great content and good luck with the new retail/brand outlet.

This was a first rate top quality interview. Wonderful questions and answers regarding Teddy's journey and business thoughts. It's clear that nobody makes a living purely from Watch content. Watch/accessory sales/advertising is a mandatory. Only Archieluxury makes a living doing the watch content, and even then, he basically milks wealthy donors for superchats.
Making it in the watch world is hard. But if you’re passionate it’s worth it.

I admire how much attention and love the Glashütte Original corner got. Looks like a Patek Philippe or Lange corner in terms of quality and presentation. Puts them really high up there, which is nice to see. Congratulations to the store.

Nicely done! Great interview, i'd rather listen to you speak with Teddy than that other shark guy. lol. But more seriously, I think the store looks great, and Crocker Park looks like a very interesting place to visit. When i first heard of the location, it seemed like a very odd choice for retail, but actually the community feel of this new development is very unique mix of traditional "small town" feel and more contemporary urban planning. Wishing Teddy much success, he works hard at it.
It has a really lively feel. Also seems like there is an eclectic group of people there so I think it’ll be successful. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it!

Certainly a long Video. I didn't expect to actually watch the whole thing...but I did. Well produced, well researched, high quality. The store is lovely, and Teddy is clearly a man of extremely high-integrity. I'll be coming to visit the Teddy Store in a few months when I come (from Canada) to watch my horse race in the Ohio Sires Stakes at Northfield Park. 'Very much looking forward to it.

Visiting alone is worth it. But it’s always better when you leave with something you love on your wrist.
Teddy: amazing video and enjoy your store enormously. My fam is from Canton. For extra sales, it would totally be worth your while to open a small corner of your store dedicated to selling pre owned Rolex. Getting a preowned a Rolex in northeast Ohio is currently impossible.

Teddy had an Omega Constellation and I had a Wren Diver One prototype (it’s our in house brand we’ve been working on)
I think it will be interesting to see how much Teddy can compete without discounting. Watches are a discounting business with fat margins and his competition, especially in the midwest USA, is discounting. Sure you can get the amateur watch collector to buy their first watch at full retail with Teddy, but at some point he's not going to be competitive at full retail where he wants to play
