He seems to hold off on giving honest opinion in an effort to come across as “professional” and “clean”. He reviews watches as though they are computers monitors.
The gold Deep Sea wins for generating the best comedy, the JLC 63 complications wins for dropping the most jaws, the IWC Eternal Calendar wins for making us want to check back in 400 years.
JLC delivered once again. Another Highlight was Parmigiani with the new Toric Collection. And of course the Tonda PF Skeleton and the Tonda PF Micro Rotor No Date.
I think King Charles got a lot of press attention for his Toric, which warranted the brand to bring back a dress line, and they did it with panache and totally doubling down on those beautiful pastel tones. One of the best moves at W&W this year.
Already added TAG Heuer Carrera panda and Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT to my potential purchase list! These two literally hit my two biggest desires in the past few years for the two brands: a wearable Carrera chronograph in panda dial (I already have the blue dial) and a more compact and wearable Tudor GMT in BB58/54 construct (being an existing BB GMT owner for more than two years I understand both the sweetness and bitterness of wearing that watch 😂)
Really like the look of the BB. Might be my first Tudor. Like the size, but i was disappointed with the burgundy last year. Glassbox! Amazing. I own the reverse panda glassbox.
@@LouisMorales-zx3jm I am sure the reverse panda looks excellent on your wrist! I only regret having bought a reverse panda from another brand right before its release and I just don't have enough money to double down on the color profile😂
I can’t help but wonder how Tudor will use that new GMT movement of theirs. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed the 5 link bracelet makes its way into their GMTs
Sold it for the Longines Zulu because of its thickness. I wonder if the BB58 GMT was launched to compete against the Zulu? Would you consider the HODINKEE Zulu?
The new Black Bay 58 GMT absolutely needs to be on the 5 link (jubilee) bracelet. Why Tudor doesn’t realize this I can’t fathom. That would make that watch perfect. At least make it an option like the 41mm burgundy model has.
Not my favorite, but pleasantly surprised to see Raymond Weil. Years before my watch journey got serious, my wife bought me a Raymond Weil, which I still think looks beautiful and I still wear quite a bit. Great video, Teddy. Thanks for the awesome coverage.
Yes agree , I own a couple of Raymond Weil and still like them. But I think the new release moonphase is a complete miss , why ruin what is a classy sophisticated design and add a smiley cartoon moon! 😂
Thanks for covering all these watches! I feel like every other watch TH-camr just lazily phones it in and shows like 3 brands, so thanks for not doing that!
IWC Eternal Calendar, outstanding! Piaget Altiplano Concept 2mm case, wow. The Berkley Grand Complication must do time travel calculations. The Rolex Deepsea homage to Invicta, LAMO!!
I agree that predictions for w&w are stupid. But they are more fun and exciting than the actual show lol. And its less about predicting and more about sharing your opinion on what you would like to see.
Thanks for this great overview Teddy. I'm quite new to watch collecting and your videos have really helped me learn about the artistic and engineering side of watches. I hope to one day experience Watches and Wonders in person. It must be a feast for the eyes! I was planning to get the TAG Reverse Panda Carrera for my bday this year but now I'm chomping at the bit to pick up the Silver Panda. I think its so much more versatile and I have several black dial watches already. I'd love a video reviewing the entire glass box collection from your perspective. Thanks again!
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from amzwatch and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Zenith was the sleeper of the show for me. I'm not big into integrated sports watches, however I do think they do a nice job with the Defy Skyline series. For what they are, the new chronograph is very well done. I'm not into white dials typically, the white dial chrono is quite fine. Quite a saturated market, but nicely executed. I love their Revival pieces across the board. I own an A385 Revival, it's a stunner. The Defy Revivals, once you know how to look at them, they are very cool, avant garde, elegant sports watches. This Revival diver is probably easier to digest for most people than a typical Defy Revival. Very cool. Zenith stole their own thunder by releasing the El Primero Triple Calendars well ahead of W&W. Had they waited, their would have been a lot more talk about how strong their releases were. That said- Zenith needs to show the Elite line some love next.
Teddy!! I don’t think I’ve ever commented on a TH-cam video in my life, I’m not sure what “the people” want but I’d be so pumped to see your personal collection at the moment! You are the man thanks for all the amazing content!
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Zenith is outstanding 😎 Being a certified diver since 1978 I think of Cousteau and the Doxa Sub300T and that bright orange dial, so I enjoy that Zenith created a striking orange dial 🤔 This catches my attention 😃
The Silver Panda Glassbox is a great release. Great movement specs, under 14mm thick, 39mm. It should sell really well, because it’s been what Heuer fans have been asking for. I love the design. Unfortunately, I’m 6’4 and medium build, so it’s a little too small for me. However, this watch should be a purist, or watch enthusiasts, dream chronograph.
To me very interesting fight at the top: how bulgari comes up with thinnest watch in the world with COSC, and Piaget fights back with thinnest tourbillon!!!!
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
I always wondered why Cartier didn't just use those Breguet hour-and-minute hands on the standard Santos-Dumont models considering that that those were used on the original Santos from 1904
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MaMaCoo , its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Zenith= absolutely killing it over the last couple of years, to me, one of, if not the most innovative brand in that price bracket as well as hitting above its price bracket and G.S is right there as well with their new calibres.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.
Really enjoyed seeing the new RW Millesime design... when it was first released by Omega a couple of years ago, in the CK-859 model 🤔. All that's missing are a few numeral indicators at 3, 9, and 12...
MAMACOO is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
It is also telling that in the Tudor boutique in Geneva this week (right after W&W) they already had all the new releases but the gold 58 on the bracelet... On that note, much better to experience them in the store than in the fair (my opinion)
I like the Raymond Weil watches as of late but look at the line on the white dial from 9 to 3. It appears out of line to me as it meets the 9 index at the top edge and the 3 at center.
After watching this video highlighting the trends from so many brands and so many design concepts and so many price points, At Watches & Wonders, I am confused. Why? 1. The brands are targeting the upper 1%, and at the time, middle class buyers too. How many times did Teddy say, “I am not sure who is the target audience to buy this watch? 2. I enjoyed seeing each brand try to differentiate itself from all of the brands. Some used color, thickness, or haute horology to achieve this. 3. As much as brands are different, many use similar design concepts. Is it possible that there are too many brands chasing the same buyers at all different income levels? Will we see a shakeout similar to what happened in the car industry? Having said all of this, the JLC Duometre caught my attention!
Also, where is Bulova? My first and only watch is the Bulova Black Dial Regatta Open Aperture. I'm new to the watch world. But I think Bulova makes some really cool watches.
Love your videos Teddy. Would you be willing to showcase watches on larger wrists also. I know you have used a model with a 7.6-inch wrist before. It does help with our decision-making process. Thank you.
I'm a little concerned by the Seiko new high beat movement slide mechanism. It just seems like a sliding part is subject to wear and failure in ways a hinged part isn't. I'd wait until field experience rules out or verifies this as a weak point.
Say what you want about the BB Monochrome, I love mine. It’s not bulky, it’s spot on, machined perfectly(looked under a microscope), and perfectly balanced with bright lume.
What was your favorite release from the show? Thanks for watching and support as always!
Tudor GMT Cola

JLC and Zenith were the highlights.
My favorite was the IWC eternal calendar. Thank you.
The Rolex 1908 is stunning.
Teddy has a very unique hability to critique in a respectful way and not being unnecessarily controversial. That’s a very difficult thing to do.
Why is being as less abrasive as possible considered a “good” and difficult thing?
@@AvadaKedavra-y6o that’s not easy to do.

Absolutamente
so underated these days. ppl r all so tudor fan bois, just like apple fanbois, these days 😂
Would love to get that eternal calendar. I need something in the annual or perpetual category.

That Zenith Defy Extreme Diver is fire. Amazing release.
I got to try them on in Watches and Wonders. They really wore great - titanium makes it an easy wear and the quick change strap is really fun feature.
Yes, looks very interesting. Zenith is on 🔥.
I can’t help but wonder how Tudor will use that new GMT movement of theirs. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed the 5 link bracelet makes its way into their GMTs
Tudor Black Bay Pro 12.8 thickness please - would buy in a heartbeat.
Sold it for the Longines Zulu because of its thickness. I wonder if the BB58 GMT was launched to compete against the Zulu? Would you consider the HODINKEE Zulu?
This was the best recap I’ve seen yet. As always, really well thought out Teddy! 👊
Been loving B&M recently. Really tempted to pick one up.
The new Black Bay 58 GMT absolutely needs to be on the 5 link (jubilee) bracelet. Why Tudor doesn’t realize this I can’t fathom. That would make that watch perfect. At least make it an option like the 41mm burgundy model has.
I prefer the oyster bracelet for sure.
Finally someone with the same thoughts. Why they added it to the Monochrome model (a dive watch) but make it absent on a GMT is bizarre.
They know it 😂. This is no accident.
Not my favorite, but pleasantly surprised to see Raymond Weil. Years before my watch journey got serious, my wife bought me a Raymond Weil, which I still think looks beautiful and I still wear quite a bit. Great video, Teddy. Thanks for the awesome coverage.

An Invicta homage 😂😂👌
It's kinda hilarious, but I'm watching this while wearing my Invicta, so hey, it's all good!
Yes, that comment caught me in the ribs a bit 😆
Teddy, to show all 31 colors of the Nomos Tangente, on wrist, was so awesome! I was counting along as
they flashed on the screen. 2:00
That Rolex 1908 is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Hands-down winner for me. 👏👏👏👏
That Grand Seiko manual wind is lovely, elegant simplicity with a touch of extravagance on the textured dial.
I was waiting for this thank you so much. You were the first person I started listening to to learn about watches. You have a way of making it so easy
Some of those nomos tengente color combinations are really cool. I like the variety

The watches are all good! But where did you get your shirt from lol??? The shirt is so good
For me it has to be Tudor. They really do show up for their fans. The price point makes them attainable.
Thanks Teddy for covering many brands and models that are being ignored or overlooked by every other watch industry personalities.
I liked the Tag Heuer Carrera Dato with the green dial.

JLC and Piaget are the best in this year imo
Great to see your first 2 mentions, couldn't imagine there are enthusiasts out there without RW and Nomos in the box.
Wow, that TAG Carrera is a beauty.
Carrera range is 🔥🏎
Nomos, if I were an AD, I’d be having a fit. How do they attempt to stock, or even try for 31 colors? And limited to 175 pieces?
ADs stock different things, just like how they pick the colors and styles from omega, grand seiko, iwc, etc they will do for Nomos
If you want one of the colors they don’t have, they order it for you.
Wow, Happy belated 1 million!!
