@@IndianaJake Batman is a legacy character, Batman movies will always have hype and make money in the theater even if they're bad quality so it behooves the Studio to put every Batman movie in the theaters. Batman & Robin was a terrible movie but it still made $238 million in 1997. Compare that to Madame Web or The Marvels box office lol People will always go see a Batman movie
Zack Snyder again? I swear that man is like the EX that doesn't realize it's over.
I think the most complaints I have seen about the Hughie scenes this episode of The Boys are that it is making humour out of sexual assault and were uncomfortable how long it took and how it was supposed to be funny. Erik Kripke’s interview about this episode hasn’t helped either. I think that has been the main reaction I have seen and not people thinking it is “kink shaming”.

Andy Serkis said The Batman 2 starts filming early 2025. It’s not getting cancelled.
People really think Gunn is the reason The Batman 2 hasn’t released. Reeves himself said it took him 3+ years to finish the first Batman script. He’s a slow writer who constantly misses deadlines. That’s why they gave him the 2026 release date. If the film doesn’t get released by that date, then talks about this franchise being cancelled should happen because WB will not let him take an eternity for a third.
I agree with everything you said and as someone who loves The Batman it's crazy how long Reeves takes to write. Since The Batman was released James Gunn has released Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, vol 3 and soon Creature Commandos and Superman.

Quality over quantity
Gunn has mentioned that nothing he has shot in public is a major spoiler. If Supergirl is in this film I don't think Gunn will shoot her scene in costume or outside. I do like that they are shooting at real locations like Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Norway. Rather than everything on sound stage with virtual screens.
for all we know, they prolly did a scene with her already. they’ve been shooting for 4 months already

Gunn debunked the rumor that Milly was in Cleveland. Gunn has said Matt is working on the script it’s not getting canceled. Zack said the ZSJL is a one time showing at the Egyptian Theatre in LA.
Rocha's insistence that Filoni is responsible for every bit of "kiddification" of Star Wars, which would apparently otherwise be the dark, adult Star Wars of his dreams without his interference is now leaking into non-SW Geek Buddies videos.

I’m not entirely convinced the other heroes in the Superman set pics are sponsored by Max Lord. If you look at the entire photo of where that symbol originally came from, there’s 4 other logos next to the Lordtech logo and the logo on the costumes, and in the full picture it looks like its own separate tech company. I think it’s more likely these are the terrifics and they’re using Mr. Terrifics tech

Yeah, i think that was the point, it finally made Hughie admit that he's not "fine", which is what he was claiming the entire episode. "No, really, I'm fine"
You can see the Lord Tech logo on Guy Gardner/ Hawk Girl/ Mr Terrific, which explains the similarities between their outfits. I imagine by the end of this movie you're going to see all of these heroes shed their corporate affiliations to be more like Superman, a true hero.

Firecracker mentions to homelander that Tek Knight was found dead, so unless she's lying, he's dead. The butler and Ladio could just transfer his money from his accounts to their accounts, so they wouldn't really need him.
What if Sage put Firecracker on to Homelander's milk obsession and the milk is tainted or will become tainted? Weakening or killing Homelander.

I also think Reeves f*cked over the studio taking multiple years to write a script. They would’ve loved a 2025 release for the Batman, then Brave and the Bold in 2027. That DCU Batman film is delayed indefinitely imo.

I dont get how people think The Batman Part 2 will be cancelled Gunn literally has said it wont be 😂 If it ends up being cancelled he will literally be a liar and people will turn on him.
He hasn't lied about stuff already? Or massaged the truth or changed his mind about what is canon and what isn't? He's done all of those things already.
@JohnRochaSays You can argue he's skirted around subjects and talks abit too much sure. I can't think of an example where he's lied though
@@BusterBarnes The most recent thing he lied about is the canon status of TSS and Peacemaker in DCU. He initially said its canon, then he said those are not cannon and now we officially know that Creature Commandos is a direct sequel to TSS and Peacemaker "S2" is in DCU which makes S1 canon to DCU. Gunn lies all the time.
@skandosh9025 He actually liked response under a comment I made saying that of the Justice League cameo never happened then Peacemaker S1 could be considered canon. So basically he's saying it's not canon because of that scene however he has said that the events from that series still carry over, I agree he could've explained it better for sure I'm just going to assume they are canon and ignore the JL scene it'll male things alot easier. Also he said he'll explain it in S2 everyone just jumping the gun.
Also Commandos is set after S1 not S2

I think this Arkham Asylum cancellation is being misconstrued alot by people. Firstly alot of people still dont know it was made a DCU show so it being cancelled doesnt affect the Matt Reeves Batverse.
Also like the article says this isnt a pure cancellation maybe theyre re-evakuating could have been a Reeves decision we dont know 🤷♂️

It had originally been announced as a part of MR’s universe, then Gunn said it had “been pitched as part of the DCU” even though that was a blatant lie, and now it’s cancelled altogether. It’s entirely reasonable for people to then draw the conclusion that MR’s universe is eventually gunna get the same treatment
@famousthaneus9810 I mean couldn't Gunn have just got rid of Reeves there and then if that was the case as he said the whole reason Pattison wasn't gonna merge with the DCU was a "Reeves decision" I find it hard to beleive he'd be drawing this out so long unless the WB higher ups do something. Amd why would Gunn keep saying Batman Part II is happening even Andy Serkis has said the same

My issue with the suits is Mr. Terrific is suppose to be a super genius billionaire. He shouldn't need jack from Maxwell Lord or be easily suckered by him. Guy could be in it for the money but again Mr terrific should be able to pay him instead. Kendra or Metamorpho make sense to be suckered by Lord.

The idea that the novelty of the shared universe has worn off is absolutely absurd. Having that elseworlds nonsense only divides DC's fandom ("Pattinson is the best Batman! No! Keaton is!")
MCU movies only started disappointing when they started allowing filmmakers they never would have before. You have to remember that by saying the MCU "lost some steam" in 4 and 5, every other studio would still KILL for those "losing steam" numbers Marvel had there.
But excitement hasn't gone anywhere. They have to continue only hiring filmmakers that take the MCU seriously, and not trying to mock it.
Is that Maxwell Lord’s logo in the comics? I’m not super familiar with the character, but I’m also wondering where everyone is getting this corporate sponsored heroes theory from. To me that logo looks like a “JL”

1 film in phase 1 flop,the hulk film and for phase 4 eternals flopped. Now black widow flopped on the big screen but made it's money back from streaming combined with the big screen money,so overall black widow did not flop. I would say mcu phase 4 was more successful then phase 1 and it made more money then phase 2. So far phase 3 and 4 made the most money and are the most successful phases.

Not loving Gunn's take on these suits. Certainly have to wait until we see the finished product to decide, but out of complete context, Gunn's style hasn't worked for me thus far.
Fair enough. Personally I’ve liked both the Superman and Mr Terrific costumes, but not a fan of Hawkgirl and Guy Gardners look.
I think the Hawkgirl amd Gardner suits will change down the line bur at the moment they are the way they are for the context of being in a corporate JLI team
Terrific and Hawkgirl have been the only suits from the set photos that work for me. Fillion as Guy looks terrible head to toe to me
I think that the Matt Reaves Batman will be included into the new universe by saying those movies happen back in the 90s before an explosion of meta humans and aliens being known
