I was born in Petershill road at home in 1957 . If they ever want to put a "Tam was born here" plaque up on the spot I was born theyll have to climb up the side of the fire station that's there now.
Thanks to the 1945 Bruce Report, the quality buildings in Sprinburn have been flatened and due to a dual carriageway ran through it, its now bitty and disjointed like the rest of Glasgow. Thanks Mr. Bruce.
Am afraid the only people returning are strangers from the jails springburn is full off strangers now nothing left no decent houses unless ur buying one am still in they old tennament in hawthorn st 46 years am from the bottom end adamswell st near Hyde park school ..the good old days ...

I seen a pic of my old birth place and it's the back end of the fire station. A tree now stands in the spot where I was born
ma da saved a wee boy from drowing while i was fishing with a button and thread an a worm had to jump in to save him he was my hero about 1958
