- Hey everyone,
Here is a MUCH needed re-edited version of the original edit of Hey Jude footage I made 3 years ago. I have sourced all the available footage from the HMC Hey Jude / Revolution DVD, Anthology 7 and 8, the Real Love promo, the various White Album 50th promotional videos, as well as the Now and Then mini-documentary. Using these sources, as well as including every frame shown during crossfades, I have brought the total footage available from 18:43 to 24:56. Every piece of footage has been accurately sequenced (and synced when possible!). Note that some of the film of them performing Hey Jude do not have available audio, so I have substituted audio from other takes. The first 9 minutes do not have sound whatsoever, so I have let various White Album outtakes play during it and other long audio gaps. Clips with real audio begin at 9:13 I hope you all enjoy!
Come on Apple none of us are getting younger. Release all of the damn footage.
Very smartly said
Wonderful seeing more footage, thanks!
The Fabs were so special and unique that it seems ANY footage of them is precious. We, the forever outsiders, feel very privileged to be witnessing these rehearsals. Peaceandlove.
This must have been painstaking to produce. Many people don't realize the time, patience, effort - and talent it takes. I realize it. And I appreciate it!!
Thank you!! ❤️🇺🇸
I like the bit where George is trying to develop discussion with George (Martin), while George is trying to maintain his focus on the mixing board! 😂
McCartney said he wasn’t sure about, “the movement you need is on your shoulder.” Lennon told him, “that’s the best line in it.”
5:05 man i would love paul to do a whole cover of While my guitar gently weeps on piano or whatever that instrument is
I believe that's a harmonium.
its a harmonium (or pump organ)
You should do the old recording sessions, I remember seeing one that appears Paul and Ringo clapping with each other and John arrives there. I believe it's the Please Please Me sessions, you should really consider doing!
Paul and John were such great partners, it’s so fun watching them interact.
Seems like they were soulmates on this tune. John was into it.
Would love to hear the conversation between Paul and George about the Guitar riffs not fitting in.
うわーマジか、凄い綺麗なBeatlesが見れる!ホワイトの時代だね、👍
What about the uninterrupted footage showing the complete 'take 9' of Hey Jude? There's segments here, but it's chopped up and incomplete. It used to be on TH-cam a few years ago, but it must have been taken down. The video quality here is better though.
These sessions were only filmed with one camera, so what I included here has all the available footage of Take 9. It starts at 12:55
Wow, fantastické záběry ❤ Miluji Beatles, mám pro ně neuvěřitelnou slabost 😀❤️✌️
They were all so YOUNG!
It doesn't matter if they grew much older after all those things! Their masterpieces remained in eternal times!!!
Real audio starts at 9:13

That song that Lennon is singing at around 6:15 minutes into video ( like old school rock and roll song) 👍
merciiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Yea, sure is boring. One of the greatest songs in history.
Ken Scott - the guy with the orange shirt - went on to produce David Bowie ... and many others ...
Banger footage

She couldn't keep it shut could she?
Great stuff! Pity Let It Be wasn’t more like this.
My thoughts exactly... I wish we had more footage of the 1968 recording sessions for the singles and the White Album, that would be ace!
John: "How are we doing, Hal?" 😊 At 20:17
Isn’t it amazing how EVERYONE smoked?
Лето 1968-го года. 1 -го сентября песня вышла в эфир и Революшн и Леди Мадонна!
Lennon singing the Na Nas, sends a beautiful shiver through the heart.
2:14
what kind of pre-getback footage exists for peter jackson to do something with? A day in the life studiosessions? Hey bulldog? Hey Jude? Blackbird and mother natures son? What else?
There’s Hey Jude, Blackbird rehearsals, Hey Bulldog, A Day in the Life, and then two 1964 sessions were filmed by Dick Lester - one was mainly vocal/handclap overdubs for Tell Me Why, and the other was the recording session for And I Love Her
@@adambound7284 ah, never knew of the dick lester footage ! thats incredible. Thank you for the reply. What do you think Peter Jacksons next project will be?
@@joachimdalgard5288 honestly no clue! i may work on that dick lester footage but what’s currently daunting is finding all the sources with unique footage…it seems quite daunting!
@@adambound7284 surely Peter Jackson had access to all of that and Maybe things we dont Even know of… can imagine a lot of 8mm but without sound… Maybe they have 1/4 inch session tapes from all of the EMI sessions and can sync up bits and pieces, ive heard emi often kept a machine going..
we need a documentary seesions
TAKE JUDE by APOLOGETIX a great parody of HEY JUDE
👍🏼
Ab der 10. Minute sind Bild und Ton passend
yes great
5:11 McCartney While my Guitar Gently Weeps
Hearing sexy Sadie at the beginning is an amazing suprise
Oh to have been in that room in that time and place… ✨
Got to say, I really prefer this version of I Will. At least he seems to be singing to a real woman rather than a hypothetical one.
Thanks! Great footage. But might I make a suggestion? Instead of White album session audio until your synced material begins at 9:13, perhaps you could put outtakes/early takes of Hey Jude, or audio from the Hey Jude session which you gaven't already used after 9:13, if these exist?
I tried, but unfortunately copyright restrictions won't allow me to!
@@adambound7284 There were sections where the music was drowning out discussion. Since I don't think people can talk and sing at the same time, it must be superimposed. Was that the reason? Why couldn't you just have spoken word where available? Why would that cause copyright problems?
@@Kieop The first 9 minutes entirely do not have any audio. All we have from this session are two takes of Hey Jude (which I have used to sync performance scenes) and any other audio used in the original Experiment in TV broadcast (what this footage was filmed for). In any scenes where I am playing White Album outtakes, we do not have any available audio.
You sure that's not Trident?
9:57🎵 🎹 🎸 🎶 Hey Jude ❤
Besten Dank dafür
Yoko not yet in the picture ?
I heard her in the background talking to John
She was but still new to the studio.
She's visible at 16:15 and 16:50 (face obscured by pages she's reading) and in the span starting at around 20:29.
@@marcobruno3110 Thx. Yeah, still discreet at this time
7.58 What does Lennon sing here?
Paul: Hey George, I don't think it sounds right having your guitar answer every line I sing.
George: AH fuck you Paul.
Goes home to write 'Run of the Mill'.
And later “I, Me, Mine”
Gênios!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
As John said after George quit..If hes not back by Tuesday lets call Eric..lol
So they devote all this footage to this tune. Yawn. No wonder Ringo looks bored. I'm sure he hated playing on this repetitive predictable uninteresting tune.
Get back to where you once belonged cause you sure don’t belong here
Well, Ringo is singing along & playing on one of the biggest sellers of the '60's - maybe The Beatles' biggest seller worldwide. Subjectivity is such a 'yawn'!
@@graniterhythm53 People are very quick to project their own feelings and superimpose their own interpretations onto things. Subjectivity is indeed a yawn.
@@graniterhythm53 Who cares about sales? We're talking about that subjective thing called musical taste. The song bores me to no end, not even in the top 150 Beatles songs and looks like Ringo felt the same way. Now ask him how he felt drumming to "Rain". Get over it buttercup.
