This camera has been my pikachu for the past 2 1/2 years. its been by my side for everything. Its still a great choice even almost 3 years later.
I use the Sony FX6 now as my A cam.. But that doesn't mean the A7siii is going anywhere yet.

@@JedDobre it can only go that way with quality like this. Man, I was about upgrade from A7iii to A7iv but used prices on the A7S iii are very tempting. It just has a ‘look’. So filmic. That sensor is great. Im very curious to see what this new ZV-E1 is going to be like. Cripple Hammered for sure but still.

If it’s for video a used A7Siii over a new a7IV everyday! Cant go wrong! Yeah I’m very interested about the new rumoured camera too! I’m waiting for an A1 mkii that’s what I’m excited for!
@@JedDobre damn! That’s some serious coin haha. A1 is a beast. Supposed to be 3-4 new cameras this year. A7S IV apparently which I’m surprised about. But they do seem to have the A7S iii in the cold a bit in terms of updates. Still, I’m very tempted over the A7iv. Was considering the FX30 tbh as the form factor is awesome. But I just love full frame 🤦🏼♂️
I’m all aboard the full frame train! But the fx30 is great for the price! The A1 for me is the perfect hybrid camera because of its form factor & the fact is an A7siii/RV/A9ii all in one! But for the price of two of those haha.
It will be very interesting to see what they come out with this year in response to canon & the Z9

That’s the Satchler flowtech! The best tripod every! Great investment, not cheap but worth every cent!
Would have probably got one nearer the release date, but the pandemic ended a lot of my shooting work. Anyway, coming back to it now. Once you get to 4K 10bit the notable improvement in image quality starts to plateau out a bit beyond that. I'm sure whatever is next (8K?) will look better, but not THAT much better. And 4K is still the standard for all the main pro video cameras, FX6 etc.

No matter what comes out next, the siii is still going to be a solid camera for years to come! :)
Not often writing comments... but here its worth it. Good Video. Good style. Just a clarification how good the camera is. Is there better out there? Maybe... is it worth the price? Maybe not.

I would buy this over a A7iv even though that’s newer.. especially if video is your focus!
Probably the only thing I would really LOVE to see would be a manual framerate adjust... sometimes (especially for music videos) its really nice to be able to dial in the framerate manually (like on higher end cinema cameras).
But this is still such a good cam for 2023! Debatting on whether to buy an fx 30 or a 7siii atm.... the fx3 is much more expensive than the 7siii where Im living.
Yeah no doubt it’s a great camera! I wish it had the same menu system as the Fx line! That would make things easier I think too with quicker access to changing video settings etc!
00:13 is that a phantom 4 case? I have a p4p I just feel my mini 3 is just so much better. I guess its the features within the app.. Can you make a love letter for my phantom so I can fall in love with it again?

A7s3 will stay as long as quality 4k recording is in demand. Period.

I currently shoot with an older Xt3 and im looking to upgrade. Im trying to decide between 2 full frame cameras. The new Lumix s5iix or the older Sony A7siii.
My use case is video only and im currently focused on realestate videos and some weddings, client work ect.
My main concern is for filming real estate in 4k60. What would look better a7siii 4k60 or the lumix s5ii 4k60 cropped? Most high end videographers in the real estate industry use a7siii. Taking everything into account, noise, low light, Dynamic range, image quality ect which is better.
My goal to get the best quality 4k 60 video.

Both will give you great image quality! I’m a bit bias to the A7Siii as I know it inside & out & I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
In all the areas you mentioned the siii will excel. A big thing to consider is Sony has huge amount of lens options with a strong resale market which isn’t the case for the lumix.
LUMIX make great cameras but putting your money into Sony is a much safer bet!
In realestate you want ti capture as wide as possible to make spaces look nice and open! You don’t want a crop! I’d get the siii!

Pff I want one so bad!!! Only thing that worries me are the lack of frimware updates.. should I wait for the next A7S series? Or pull the trigger?! I can't decide 😭😭 (currently owning an a6400)
I (like everyone) wish Sony would be better with firmware support. However the siii is still a might capable camera. If you’re concerned about an SIV dropping but need something now. Perhaps a Used Siii could be a great idea.
That will hold you over well until a SIv comes out (if one does). Then you can either keep it as a solid B cam or sell it & take a $200-300 loss & look at it as paying $200-300 for 6-12 months of usage! Which would be an ultra cheap rental!
Just keep in mind if a SIV did come out I’ll probably be announced months before it’s available.. it will then be ultra hard to get with long initial wait times & be priced similarly to an A7RV.
I personally guess Sony will do an A1ii first. & we’ll have to wait and see if the do a SIV or replace the camera all together with a Fx3ii etc

@@JedDobre yeah! I heard rumors that the a7siv is coming end of this year.. but take it with a grain of salt. But like you guessed it.. I also think the a7siv will not be made but instead it'll be the fx3m2..
Only thing I'm worried is the price tag.. I hope it will stay around the same prices we have atm..
No doubt it'll be an insane new camera! The zv-e1 may show us the glimpse to the future with all the features! 😁
Yeah. I do love the fx3 but I also love having a evf so wouldn’t be made if they kept both lines. Just hope the sensor allows for slightly more than 12mp.. 6k or 8k would be great!

Do you think the Sony A7S IV will come out this year? When do you predict we will see A7S IV?
I’d expect an a9 iii, A7C ii & even though it’s newer I’d kinda expect an A1 ii before the siv just because the Z9 is out & the canon R1 rumours.
If I was to guess if it’s this year maybe October or March/April 2024.
But in saying that I did read the first rumours of a SIV on Sony alpha rumours this week!
What about for photo?
It’s actually great for photo’s, just got to keep in mind what the end result is gonna be.. want to print massive & crop a lot.. not so great because of the 12mp.. wanna shoot social media or lowlight, Astro etc it’s great for that stuff!
