Great video Teppo! Nice to see you’ve reunited with the one and only Peter Lindgren again. The tutorial that Peter gave about the settings for the A7Siii makes the menu system seem a little less intimidating. I don’t know if it’s just me but the Sony menu just seems over complicated for no reason! 😂 I’ve never used a Sony camera so I can’t comment otherwise but the Canon menu system is great to use!

A question for anyone who reads that: to make Vlog, is it convenient to film in FullHD? I ask about the great difference in space that 4K consumes, as well as the complication when editing.
I think the landscape shots it's ok filmed in 4K, but maybe it's a bit overkill to vlog in 4K.
What do you think? Was this episode shot in 4K or FullHD? Thanks and keep up the hard work!

As a brand new filmmaker using an old A7Rii this is motivation to level up! Once I get to 20 videos on YT I think I'll give myself a Christmas gift. Thanks for all of the tips in advance of picking this up. Love the custom modes advice with the VLOG mode, 50fps, and photo mode. The ability to quickly switch between photo and video modes is going to be huge as an adventure photographer/filmmaker

Great video - appreciate as someone who just got his A7S3. One question though. At 17:45, how to chose the focus point using the touch screen while having autofocus off in the camera, but not at the lens, as Peter says?
How do you use the touch screen to set the focus?

Just got the A7S3 (sent back the a74, for now).. I’m curious what Peters custom setting #3 is for. I like the idea of using it for photos. So the Vlog stuff & outdoor Broll is shot in S cintone? No Slog3?

What Is A Good Camara mount flash for the a7sIII?
I may not be a Sony shooter, but I think the A7S3 is the perfect fit for your needs. It might only be 12MP for stills, but do you honestly need more while on TH-cam? Maybe doing weddings and what not like you were doing before would need more, but 12MP would still be fine in the right hands.

How are the S Cinetone settings Peter set working out? My s Cinetone is slightly yellow on the skin tones. interested in his settings. I don't think me ever mentioned them in a video before. Glad you're rocking Sony too!

I just subbed (Great educational videos), Im always looking to better enhance my videos and my videography skills.
I have both the A7iii & A7Siii, I use my A7iii for photography and my A7Siii for video.
In my opinion the A7(S)iii captures more detail and a better cinematic look with its larger size pixels (only 12mp @ 8.4 microns) but the pixels are larger individually, especially in normal house light and low light situations, sucking in more detail.
I choose to use the A7iii for photography because I have more crop & edit options because of the higher pixel count. (24mp)

Does anyone know if the S&Q will shoot in the same picture profile as your other modes? If not what will it shoot in?
Great setup video! I’ve been having some issues with the custom white balance for the dial numbers 1, 2, 3 after camera set memory is confirmed. I use 1, 2, 3 on the top dial to set the different frame rates and shutter speeds for video, but when I want to custom set the white balance in these any of these set modes, the camera won’t allow a custom white balance. Is there any way around this? How do you typically do white balance for run and gun shooting, especially when you’re using multiple frame rates back and forth? Thanks!!

I also have mine FX3 set up to M1,M2 and M3. The only bummer is you cannot set custom white balance while in those modes.. So frustrating..
Hi. What setting sets ISO auto and everything else manual? I was on it before then changed smth and can’t find it again. Did like it for event filming, running around but getting an even footage without worrying too much of over/under exposure. Thank you
Just hit the ISO on the circle dial and scroll up to Auto Iso. ezpz done.

Can you please help me with what ISO settings to put along with this, does ISO Auto work with this settings? Also I have put my exposure to +0.7. Will that work?
