I think it sums up why I feel a bit sad for Aegon here, even though he often wasn't the best person.
I do feel sorry for Aegon. He was ignored, neglected and had no limits set on him. All his life, he knew that Rhaenyra would succeed his father, and then at a moment's notice they make him king. Alicent and Otto never loved him, they only used him. Now, he's lost his son and they ridicule him for his inadequacies that it's their fault. At least Otto, this was his plan all along for years. Alicent, I just hate, hate, hate her. Only Sunfyre loves Aegon.
The only time I felt sorry for Aegon is when he lost his son, but that's it. I feel sorry for Haelena more so than him. She had it worse, since she had three choices: Let her son die, let her daughter die, or fight back and they all die. She picked her son and had to hear him being killed with his head being taken off. After burying her son, Aegon didn't even try to comfort her.

@@arobin6695 fax Aegon been neglected all his life, it's not that Aegon doesn't want to comfort her, its just that he doesn't know how to. (ie: Alicent walking away from him after she saw him breaking down post the death of his son) I wonder why HE doesn't know how to deal with this emotions 💀💀💀💀
@@arobin6695 Aegon could've offered comfort to Haelena, but he ignored her. They both lost their child after all.
I actually quite like Aegon, and despite the that he is a terrible human being, you do see someone who is a victim to other people’s want for power.
And no one can deny that Aegon showed bravery and courage going up against Meleys and Rhaenys.
No one deserves to be betrayed by their own brother
Aegon is deeply misunderstood. Since the topic even came up, he was fine with Rhaenyra taking the throne and succeeding their father. He in no way shape or form had anything to do with the plot to install him as King, and when he finally accepts it and realizes there’s no other way, EVERYONE around him basically neglects and completely ignores him and treat him like he isn’t even there. He’s morally a bad person who assaults women and probably has done worse bts, but he’s not a full on psychopath opposed to someone like Joffrey. He understands that being King is a responsibility, yet every time he tries to take the position seriously, he is basically tossed into the corner and told to be quiet while everyone else does everything. He lacks the experience, but the point is to teach him how to do this and bestow this knowledge TO him, not use him as a figurehead. So in conclusion, who’s fault is it really that he had an easygoing life content with allowing his sister to run things and not learning how to rule, then having it entirely flipped on it’s head in a single day and forced into the most influential spot in the whole country? At least he’s making an effort
I don't like Crispy Cole either, but saying any child that he has is going to be a monster is unfair.
I find it horrible to make dragons kill each other for the benefit of the Iron Throne.

@@StanleyMabonga It's would've been a worse idea to not send a dragon, otherwise it would send a message to all of Westeros that Rhaenyra can't/won't provide protection for her vassals when needed. It was a lose lose situation for Team Black regardless.
True and Rhaenyra is in mourning and not in the mental place to be thinking tactically. Jace and Baela are her only dragonriders and she is afraid of risking them as any mother would.

Aegon is not a cripple after this battle, only after battle with Baela and Moondancer.

I refuse to believe Rhaenys is dead. They didn't show her body! No body -> not dead!
She dead. Bringing her back would change the rest of the entire narrative going forward. Many actions that happen later harken back to Rhaenys dying.
This is why I wasn’t sure right in the beginning! People are confused why I’m confused, but no body usually means no death in movies, so I thought it made sense.
Like I know she’s dead now, but I feel like I wasn’t too weird to have some doubts at first.

Luke was young but old enough to enter the war. I see people saying there is a law to not harm messengers, but where is this law at? There is guest right once they are fed and watered, but no, throughout history (in westeros as well) messengers were killed. As long as the messenger breaths, the message is still alive, isnt that what Tom Hanks said in Saving Private Ryan? Rhaenyra made a mistake sending someone into war who was not ready for war. Luke was a casualty of war, a very unfortunate casualty, but that is what it was. Remember when Daemon killed the messenger who delivered the message that Viserys was coming to help them at the Step Stones? No one batted an eye, messengers get killed.... Having a kid with Cole and the kid would be a monster? Can you explain that? How is Cole a monster? I dont like him at all, but what has Cole done to be a "monster"? Had sex? I think this is what upsets people... Team Black literally closes their eyes to anything their side does and leaps to bash anything Green does. At this point right now, the only monsters are Rhaenys, Daemon, Aegon, and Aemond. In the end they all are terrible and the whole show is about terrible people killing each other and spilling over to where thousands upon thousands of innocents pay the price.

Great reaction. What is also hilarious about the book spoilers is that GRRM himself has said on MANY OCCASIONS, that his GOT books are ALL told from the perspective of an imperfect and often biased narrator. So what happened in the books MAY NOT HAPPEN the same way in the TV Shows!!!

Rhaenys and Meleys are dead. Sunfyre and Aegon are both alive but barely suffering heavy injuries, and both will be sidelined for the duration of the war. Aemond will become Prince Regent and Proctector of the Realm until his brother fully recovers from his extensive wounds.
