Give it up for oscar tully for having biggest balls in the river lands him putting daemon verbal in his place was top notch and highlight of this episode.
This was important for viewers as truly all Daemon has done this season is alienate people by being an a4#hole and see visions. I didn’t really buy it but at least it’s a common sense segway into the river lords backing the blacks.
LOL yeah man Silverwing was so much more chill, she was such a nice friendly dragon, Vermithor srsly wanted to test all those dragon seeds for who was courageous or brave or something or he's just a cruel senseless bully.
Silverwing has always been described as a "sweeter" more tolerant dragon as far as dragons go lol..so im glad they gave her such a goofy almost motherly personality..the way she playfully shoves ulf to the ground real gentle almost as if she waa saying "aww!! Look at this loser!! it's dumb and cute!... come here n let me protect u! cuz only God knows how long u will survive without me".. she also kinda gives off that vibe of ur buddy trying to sneakup on u to scare u but they bust out laughing prematurely while "sneaking up" n resort to playfully shoving u to the ground like "GOTCHA!!".

The cinematography and camera angles/settings of this episode were incredible. The very first scene of Rhaenyra and Addam Of Hull on the beach with the dragons behind them was breathtaking. And throughout every time there was a Rhaenyra stare-down, man did they capture her with the perfect angle and cinematography. Just beautiful.
Yeah the nose bumps gave it away that she wasn't going to kill him. It was totally affectionate and playful. I think she deserves a better rider than him because I see treachery all over him.

It was actually stupid. They should have jumped aemond in the sky. Now he knows there’s three dragons and he can strategize against them. Really took me out of the episode
@@jjohnson218 he was quite far from them and as soon he saw the dragons he flew back as fast as he can so they had no chance of killing him there. and also they have 5 dragons now with riders so odds are in their favor. if daemon decided to join them then that would be a plus cause he has the support of all the houses as well. they have dragons, ships and an army so they can attack king's landing from air, water and land.

Oscar Tully stole the episode, they really had us the last episode making it seem like he was going to get bullied 😂 but to see him checkmate Daemon like that in such a confident/cool manner was so badass

Would put it in 2nd place, I loved the dragon-bond moments & it was so crazy & awesome. The only episode which is better is where the Dragons battle, Rhaenys vs. Aemond & Aegon which was Greatness. But great episode💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
Some of the shots this episode were epic, the shot of Rhaenyra slowly walking to the edge of the ledge in the background as Hugh claims Vermithor reminded me of Darkseid stepping out of the ship to watch Wonder women's funeral in Justice League. The last shot of Aemond and Vhagar running away as Rhaenyra and the 3 dragons stared them down was also incredible.

“An army of bastards” line goes hard. The cut on Alicent like how she cut Rhaenyra is well executed parallel. That final scene with Rhaenyra and the dragons is just so 🔥🔥🔥. Looking like the true queen she was meant to be.
I'd like to imagine that Vermithor saw a young and bold Jaehaerys in Hugh Hammer with all that beard and fierceness. While Silverwing is just like the Mama Dragon from Shrek 1 with Ulf being Donkey 💀
Why? It was a bit predictable, we knew it was coming for 5 episodes now. Same with Ulf getting claimed by Silverwing. No way! You mean all the red shirts who came to claim a dragon were all massacred? They should've read the script and realized they haven't had any other scenes. That would've been their first clue xD.
When he bent the knee on the beach to the queen...is the best scene in any movie or TV show i have ever seen in my entire life and i am 60 years old...it was the best scene for me because my emotions took control...this young man is so humble and not having any clue why the dragon picked him...its kind of full circle. I can't explain my own emotion about this scene except i saw a young man ready to serve his queen...like old time movies of a knight bending a knee for a king. OMG!!!they cast the right young man for this role and the writers did a awesome role and the director has such insight.
When Hugh yelled, "COME ONNNN!!!" and Vermithor yielded, it reminded me of that scene in Ted where he's insulting his boss to try and get fired, but then his boss takes a liking to him cause no one's ever talked to him like that 😂
Silverwing is such a sweetheart just like Queen Alyssane. And Vermithor chose someone noble, just, and courageous like Jaeherys. Standing up to Vermithor and putting himself in harms way away from the woman.

I remember watching Jurassic Park in cinema when I was 6. The sounds from the T rex and the panic that I felt watching that scene was never something I could describe to anyone who didn't have that cinema experience. TV and VHS never did it justice. But that episode last night really brought me back to that moment. Watching vermithor burn, hunt and eat people made me feel like I was a kid again panicking in the theater 😆 Really well written and directed!

It's so apparent Daenerys is the descendant of both Daemon and Rhaenyra. She is just like Rhae when it comes to interacting with common folk. She does have a strong maternal side to her. And Daemon has that same energy and fire she used to destroy her enemies and burn people, including King's Landing, with the latter leading to her eventual demise. Daemon is brave and full of fire but he lacks diplomatic skills and patience. Some of his rash decisions led to the most atrocious consequences, one of them being that "heir for a day" thing. When you think about it, the war would have been avoided had he behaved and stood by his brother. V might have named him his heir if he had actually been trustworthy. So sad! Daemon is someone with great potential and traits, yet he is unable to channel it all in the right direction. He is an unpolished diamond.

If that's true, then Dany would be descended from both sides. The whole thing seems to have been based on the War of the Roses where the last Lancastrian heir married the last Yorkist princess. Then again, I haven't read the book yet so I could be wrong.
I think Silverwings reaction was from her mate bonding to a human. Also she was watching over her eggs. Her senses were probably as high as it gets for a dragon
Velaryons may not be dragon riders, but they share so much blood with Targaryens due so many marriages between the two houses, I think they have much more dragon blood than any other house.
I think the show is also trying to say Addam and Alyn's mother descends from another Dragonlord's house from ancient valyrian. She had some valyrian dragonlord family blood in her veins. Not targaryen.
Vermithor got a good Uber Eats delivery! Loved his interaction with Rhaeyra. Silverwing was adorable going for a spin. Looking forward to Sheepstealer!
We must remember, the Targaryens are only special b/c they're in Westeros. Back in Old Valy, they were just a regular noble family and everyone had dragons. Then suddenly The Doom killed all the other dragon-riders and they just won by default. It's like winning a contest because everyone else got in a car accident on the way there lol.
Not every noble family in old Valeria had dragons, the Celtigars and Velaryons both were noble families without dragons. But you are right that they were a minor house of dragon riders.
So calling back to Helaenas scene with the crickets “ there’s three crickets and one quit singing” assuming that means that there was 3 wild dragons and sea smoke was the one that “quit singing” as he found his rider. So assuming all the crickets won’t be singing now.
Am I the only one who noticed the egg in Silverwing's cave that Ulf almost stepped on? Silverwing then gently pushed him away as if she was trying to protect the egg and looked at it before closing in on Ulf, then sensing that he has Targaryen blood in his veins. Just my two cents, but upon reviewing the scene, it does seem like there's an egg.
Vermithors' last rider was the greatest Targaryn king, he would settle for no less than a hero with brass balls. Silverwing was his queen's dragon. She just wants a goofy little guy who is good at spinning a yarn.
some of these dragons are straight up toying with people, with vermithor getting his snoot booped by rhae and then turning 95% of the dragonseeds into smores. and then we have silverwing just trying to cuddle with ulf 😹😹😹🐉🔥
Throughout the Vermithor scene I swear I could almost hear him laughing at some times like he knew exactly who he was gonna eat and who was gonna be his lil buddy😂
I really enjoyed when we saw Oscar Tully and Daemon walk out to the riverlords. We always see Daemon with his signature walk, kind of hunched over and more relaxed/aloof. Where Oscar Tully seemed very upright and lordly, as to be expected from the lord of a great house. It's a very minor thing that is easily missed, but I found it a very nice touch right before the meeting went down that Lord Oscar really led super well.

All the dragons were claimed by blood relatives to their previous riders. Even if they aren’t of the dragon blood. They are direct relatives of those who rode them. Hugh is the son of a Saeras, daughter of Jaherys. Ulf is related to Silverwings last rider. Adam is the half brother of Laenor. All 3 new riders are direct relatives of their previous riders. That’s the key.
@@yungprophet1 It looked like he stepped on a clutch of eggs, but he only stepped into the "sac" that the eggs were laid in (remember the one Daemon took the three eggs from at the end of season 1), rather than crushing the eggs themselves.
I believe Helanas cryptic scene with one of the crickets stop singing was about Rhaenyra, Damond, and Amond and their fight for the throne. The one that stopped singing was about Damond no longer wanting the crown. Because in the scene at Haron Hall with Viserys, the crown was making a singing sound when he asked if he still wants the crown! My thoughts ! My opinions 😬😬🔥
Larys has become one of my fav characters on the show. The actor is absolutely *incredible* , equal to the actor of Otto Hightower, it's a damn treat whenever they're on screen
really.....a treat. I find them so bloody boring, nowhere near the level of political intrigue in KL during the main show with Varys, Littlefinger, Cersei, Tywin, Tyrion etc
This episode was 🔥 I loved the way Vermithor showed respect to Raenyra. All these episodes I thought Ulf the White is not a dragon seed and he is just pretending, but damn Sliverwing proved me wrong.
During the dragon seed scene, I lowkey felt bad for the first dude and the other dragon seeds that perished… you can tell they had hard lives back in Kings Landing and to end it all with a horrifying violent death. 😢
When I saw that was Ulf on Silverwing over King's Landing I honestly thought he was meaning to do a fly-by of his old pub so everyone there could see him. It actually gave me a chuckle as he's nothing like the kind of powerful and dignified person you'd expect on a dragon.

Why? It was a bit predictable, we knew it was coming for 5 episodes now. Same with Ulf getting claimed by Silverwing. No way! You mean all the red shirts who came to claim a dragon were all massacred? They should've read the script and realized they haven't had any other scenes. That would've been their first clue xD.
When he bent the knee on the beach to the queen...is the best scene in any movie or TV show i have ever seen in my entire life and i am 60 years old...it was the best scene for me because my emotions took control...this young man is so humble and not having any clue why the dragon picked him...its kind of full circle. I can't explain my own emotion about this scene except i saw a young man ready to serve his queen...like old time movies of a knight bending a knee for a king. OMG!!!they cast the right young man for this role and the writers did a awesome role and the director has such insight.
When Hugh yelled, "COME ONNNN!!!" and Vermithor yielded, it reminded me of that scene in Ted where he's insulting his boss to try and get fired, but then his boss takes a liking to him cause no one's ever talked to him like that 😂
Silverwing is such a sweetheart just like Queen Alyssane. And Vermithor chose someone noble, just, and courageous like Jaeherys. Standing up to Vermithor and putting himself in harms way away from the woman.

I remember watching Jurassic Park in cinema when I was 6. The sounds from the T rex and the panic that I felt watching that scene was never something I could describe to anyone who didn't have that cinema experience. TV and VHS never did it justice. But that episode last night really brought me back to that moment. Watching vermithor burn, hunt and eat people made me feel like I was a kid again panicking in the theater 😆

It's so apparent Daenerys is the descendant of both Daemon and Rhaenyra. She is just like Rhae when it comes to interacting with common folk. She does have a strong maternal side to her. And Daemon has that same energy and fire she used to destroy her enemies and burn people, including King's Landing, with the latter leading to her eventual demise. Daemon is brave and full of fire but he lacks diplomatic skills and patience. Some of his rash decisions led to the most atrocious consequences, one of them being that "heir for a day" thing. When you think about it, the war would have been avoided had he behaved and stood by his brother. V might have named him his heir if he had actually been trustworthy. So sad!
Daemon is someone with great potential and traits, yet he is unable to channel it all in the right direction. He is an unpolished diamond.
Well, she's also the descendant of Aegon II (and therefore his father) too.

Then again, I haven't read the book yet so I could be wrong.

Velaryons may not be dragon riders, but they share so much blood with Targaryens due so many marriages between the two houses, I think they have much more dragon blood than any other house.
I think the show is also trying to say Addam and Alyn's mother descends from another Dragonlord's house from ancient valyrian. She had some valyrian dragonlord family blood in her veins. Not targaryen.

Am I the only one who noticed the egg in Silverwing's cave that Ulf almost stepped on? Silverwing then gently pushed him away as if she was trying to protect the egg and looked at it before closing in on Ulf, then sensing that he has Targaryen blood in his veins. Just my two cents, but upon reviewing the scene, it does seem like there's an egg.

Vermithors' last rider was the greatest Targaryn king, he would settle for no less than a hero with brass balls. Silverwing was his queen's dragon. She just wants a goofy little guy who is good at spinning a yarn.

I really enjoyed when we saw Oscar Tully and Daemon walk out to the riverlords. We always see Daemon with his signature walk, kind of hunched over and more relaxed/aloof. Where Oscar Tully seemed very upright and lordly, as to be expected from the lord of a great house. It's a very minor thing that is easily missed, but I found it a very nice touch right before the meeting went down that Lord Oscar really led super well.

All the dragons were claimed by blood relatives to their previous riders. Even if they aren’t of the dragon blood. They are direct relatives of those who rode them.
Hugh is the son of a Saeras, daughter of Jaherys. Ulf is related to Silverwings last rider. Adam is the half brother of Laenor.
All 3 new riders are direct relatives of their previous riders. That’s the key.

The one that stopped singing was about Damond no longer wanting the crown. Because in the scene at Haron Hall with Viserys, the crown was making a singing sound when he asked if he still wants the crown! My thoughts ! My opinions 😬😬🔥

When I saw that was Ulf on Silverwing over King's Landing I honestly thought he was meaning to do a fly-by of his old pub so everyone there could see him. It actually gave me a chuckle as he's nothing like the kind of powerful and dignified person you'd expect on a dragon.
