Moving on up from a 121 to a 159 rear suspension - time to make that thing fit!! Check out this EZ Ryde rear suspension - now that is one sweet suspension!
That looks awesome. Can't wait to see it all done. I hope u do a walk around of the sled when it is all done and show everything u did to it. Next video please.
if you're on a budget i suggest used. they use an oddball shock setup to make it work so you probably cant find the right shocks to work if you piece it together yourself. used you can get for 1000-1500.
Of course I know nothing about it - how could I? I figured it was stock since you said you have summit 800. It's all good, your sled sounds wicked! Pretty amazing to get 197 out of an 800, good work!
man u are great wish i had the money to throw into my sled but im saving up to mod it a little prolly not a complete tear down like this but you know keep up the great videos and can't wait to see this baby in action. :)
well it all depends on what you do, i bought my xlt mod suspension for 400 bucks - off a 2009 rev xp, it is sweet! that old xlt drives like a ....well a 2009 rev xp, and I'd take that ride over your 02 summit:) now if you compare the rev xp ride to the ez ryde i suspect it's going to be a lot different again, price point much different but I think I'm going to really like it - the design makes sense and that's why I went with it.
Louis your videos have inspired me, I have just purchased an 07 iqr 155 for my 09 550 rev, little out of my comfort zone, any tips you could give me for drive sprocket sizes would be greatly appreciated, I’m in Barrie Ontario
Sick mod I subscribed. I am wondering if you could tell me a good track tenchion to run. I read in a magazine that if you can just fit 2 fingers in there it is good. Is this correct? It almost seems on the tight side to me.
i got a 670 summit and i am looking to mod it exept i wanna know where can i get good parts ??? the ones that fits like i wanna put a 151 track on it but i have no idea where to find a track like that
Well like i said its an over priced mod for most people. I live in Buena Vista, Colorado and ride real mountain pow and if you actually know how to ride, 144" is plenty and its gets to the point where anything longer is just to heavy and bulky and more un-maneuverable in the pow and on the trails IMO. Regardless it was a decent build and you did pay attention to the small details but at what cost on an out dated sled? Im not saying that your sleds are not nice, just saying why.
The wedge chassis polaris have a drop bracket already in the back.. for the front if you look at the bracket you'll see 2 (maybe 3) holes. Drill out one of those holes from the inside out. Mount up the front then the back. I did this to my 400 indy.. takes roughly 20-30min depending on how fast you are at taking a skid out.
@@stefan3225 I hear you I would love to but I plow snow so every time it's nice I can't go but I have been looking at getting upgrade I've been looking at the Yamahas nitro's
Also you know nothing of this summit i speak of...so before you judge you may want to learn yourself. Check BCR for my build thread. It pays allot more to actually know your chit rather than to pay out of pocket for someone else to do it. Been riding this motor for 2 years now with no issues, sled dyno'ed at 197hp 143tq and i spent $460 to get it on pump gas and without a turbo.
been watching since episode 1, cant wait to see it unfold!
Wow, that's great thanks for watching!
Ya it does - futuristic!
I second the Idea on the anti-stab kit. Keep up the good work!!!! Love the videos!
That looks awesome. Can't wait to see it all done. I hope u do a walk around of the sled when it is all done and show everything u did to it. Next video please.
that skid really makes the old doo one look like overkill. this thing will be nuts!
Hey Jizz, thanks for watching!
Thats what I like to hear!
thanks for the reply man yeah mine is a 163" with extroverts
Looking pretty good. Can't wait until it's buttoned up and all together,
that is bad ass.....hope it rides good....hit hard....
it has mini inner idlers, probably going to put one set up at the bend and i'll see about antistab.
that is one sick looking zx! cant wait to see more!
I'll be doing that for sure!
Wow great build !
Yes, for sure, titanium scratchers from Nextech (carbonsleddotcom)
cant wait to see the next episode!
Thank you so much for all these.
Yes, will probably do it.
sledd looks deadly

that can be ok, try it and see, if you run extros you can run a little looser. 2 fingers on a 159 is different than 2 fingers on a 121 as well.
The sled is awsome! You deserves alot of more views!
Greetings from Sweden!

Thanks for watching - more coming!
well.. that answered my question,,, now we need snow!!!!!
With all that deep pow you get it’s critical to have long tracks and huge paddles lol
Thanks Martin!
Hope your running anti-stab wheels on the front of that skid! And she's gonna be hard on hyfax with no bogies!
Have you thought about an anti-stab kit? The tips of the rails are really close to the track.

Loving these videos! I have the exact sled, you are giving me lots of ideas!
Almost there!
That looks sick!!
It's coming!

Why didn't you use air shocks in the back you would probably save 15/20 lbs?
yes he does!
I would like some fox shocks for my 2002 mxz 800
are the shocks that come on the EZ ride suspension fully rebuildable?
i got a 670 summit and i am looking to mod it exept i wanna know where can i get good parts ??? the ones that fits like i wanna put a 151 track on it but i have no idea where to find a track like that

are you going to put ice scratcher on it
what kit did you use for big wheel
How much usually is a longtrack 121-144" tracksusa kit? And where can I find a cheap SC10II suspension?

hello sir whatever happened to zx? how did it work in pow?
I Have a 2003 skidoo 800 rev. Was wanting to put a newer suspension in. Any suggestions of what I should look for?
Get a new sled tbh, i wouldnt bother

Hey Louie could I use 3" drop brackets on the rear of my 01 summit with 151 track ?
i would think so - dont go too high though - just keep it high enough to clear the cooler.
Dam ...$2400? I have a 02 summit 800 144 and wouldn't mind going longer but for that kind of cash?....wow never imo.
I apologize, Lou puts the cover on the shocks, that's what is in the photo.
how many pounds of rivets do you have on this?
none now:)
Tim Gile lol no kidding that tunnel looks like shit hah
Hey, watch name of this product
hey louie can I just keep my stock skid on my 1999 xcr 440 but make the holes a bit lower bc I want my sled to sit higher
The wedge chassis polaris have a drop bracket already in the back.. for the front if you look at the bracket you'll see 2 (maybe 3) holes. Drill out one of those holes from the inside out. my xcr duse not have a drop bracket it just has the one hole
how did u raise it tho
Oh really? No drop bracket.. well you can always make drop brackets. Just make them same size as the one on the machine. Rivet it on and bolt up.
Do you know any tricks on how to beef up my rear suspension on my zr800 I'm trying to find aftermarket rear skin Springs any ideas
Matt Blackie Get a new sled man. Not worth messing with that antique.
