- We've made a lot of changes to this sled weight and power wise, and...we are chaging from trail riding to powder - so it's time to clutch it properly and that starts with the primary, lets install a new spring and weights!

Awesome! now I know how to take apart my clutch properly. Id suggest following what bombardier recommends for torque specs for the primary and checking it regularly. Ive had a primary come off at an idle while warming up. Little did I know that the bolt had become lose and with the centrifugal force the clutch came off and shrapneled on me. Nobody was hurt and luckily it was just warming up and I wasnt driving it. I was out the rest of the season until I found another clutch.
cant wait to see it on the snow! great job on that sled it looks very clean!
Yup - exactly, thanks for watching!
Thank you ! Very helpful
Good to know!
You should try to get your hands on a "lynx" it's a company making snowmobiles in Finland. they are pretty much like a skidoo, the same engine and components but better suspension and different looks. Haha may seem pointless but many over here prefer them over Ski doo, (at least I do)
if you are not familiar with them you can google! Got a little bit carried away but I really like your videos. Keep it up!
The ET 250 would make a good little modder, that engine had gobs of power.
Btw! Great vids, cant wait to see the final product!
yup - should be nice!
I've seen them - too bad they dont make them for here!
the skidoo tra clutches are alot easier to work on vs all the others. i have had mine off of my 01 summit a few times. you can about do it with your eyes closed. well i wouldnt suggest it though. lol
wow love it
Polaris IQR, not sure after that one.
I have the same clutch, do you not have that 1” tall fiber bushing inside the clutch spring?
no way your gonna do a iqr thats awesome
But lynx are really rare in other places than Sweden, Norway and Finland since they don´t sell them in the U.S or Canada.
do you have to put lock tight on the clutch bushings? just wondering because mines all assembled without lock tight and just wondering if anything will happen. thanks, please answer.
yes there is a cover going on:)
I have a 2006 ski doo 600 ho sdi, I ordered a dynamo Joe clutch kit and want to have explosive acceleration, but I don't know what weight pins I should put in, what do you prefer?
I would be careful using carb cleaner on clutches because a lot of that has lubrication in it as well. But thats just me.
TheBCSledder I've always heard hot water as hot as u can stand touching ur hands and a de-greaser like dawn dish liquid is the best thing to use so that's what I've always done. u gotta make sure u dry everything off or blow it dry with an air compressor tho
do you have a cover or something for the hole in the belly pan where the clutch is?
Hi ! did you do any mods to the secondary after you did the primary
Did that primary clutch come stock on that 700 because mine has a tra2 on it and that's a tra 3 clutch?
wow skidoo clutched are confusing. yami ones you can change all this on the sled!
Where can I get someone to work on mine close to oshawa willing to travel or a good parts place with knowledge
we can do it but we are in ottawa. let me know.
@@PowerModzOfficial what would you charge just a ball park not a end game I dont know what clutch is going to help me most as it's a cheap sled and I'm on a budget just want springs and weights
yes very easy.
What's a good clutch setup for summit 163 2008?
Do you have a video on how to align both the clutches?
yes - check out my Iqr 860 rotax install video
Whats the diferense of that clutch and a 550f clutch? I want to get a bit more acceleration on it...
hmm, best to talk to an expert, contact sledhead racing, joey at Ibackshift.com or SLP.
Polaris IQR
This guy is the biggest hack I’ve ever seen !!!!
Thanks very much! Check out my more recent videos - I'm sure Ive retained that title. Cheers
noooo your adding oz's on the sled whyyyy
HEY GUYS: I have a 95 formula z rave, & the setting on the primary was @ #2, I was told #4 is factory. so I set it @ #5 do you fellas know what RPM it will leave at. THANKS Rob.
that only changes the final rpms. the engagement wont change.
ok, Thanks for the info. Now one more Question if you don't mind, Which number would be the best for me? I usually warm everything up, but then I beat it pretty hard at times, & today I went for a 40 mile cruise, & a couple of side roads I got too open it up & both times it went 178 kph. is their a different number to increase the top end? Thanks Rob.
rob garant the higher the nuber, the higher the final rpm's will be at wide open at higher speed.try for around 8000
What's the next project
post like 3 videos tonight
Did that primary clutch come stock on that 700 because mine has a tra2 on it and that's a tra 3 clutch?
