Great video :-) I have a maybe stupid question, but I've found different comments on the net. What exactly colour is this version: yellow or yellowish-green-fluo? :-) I was examining by myself only black version and this one I've only saw in the internet.
Bro thanks for posting videos of the bike that i love the most! Does your g125 have spoked rims? What about fuel consumption? It is said that you can do like 900+ kilometers because of the 20l tank... Also, how does it cope with a passenger? Have you tryed to drive with a passenger in your g125?
Hey mate, thanks for the feedback! My G1 has the standard wheels, the one with the spoked rims is called G1X and costs 300€ more, which makes it look great but i prefered to save that money for other things :) As for the consuption, i'm not really counting but so far i think i'm doing around 700km, but i believe that you can trully achieve that if you ride in Eco and avoid big inclines (which i come across a lot in my daily rotine). And finally about riding with a passenger.. never tried yet, my lady is still affraid to try lol, but overall this is an awsome fun bike to live with everyday :)
Hey Dave, thx for sharing the Zontes 125 G1, Im currently doing my B196 course, which will give me the rights to ride a 125 cc bike. The last 2 months im searching the perfect bike to buy when im ready.. at first it was a Honda CB125R, but then i found out that those bikes are a bitt to small for me. May i ask how long you are? im 1,85m, do you think im to long? I think i want to buy a Zontes G1 125, or a 125 U1 (the one with the supermotard style). How is the all over built quality of the bike? Have fun riding! and thx for sharing your amazing rides. PS. Your new camera is the best!
Hey man, thanks! Glad you're enjoying :) This bike is one of the tallest 125cc i've seen around, it has a seat height of 830mm, i think it'll be perfect for someone of your size, I am 1,72m and i can't put both feet flat on the ground, i mean, it's okay for me but i'd be more confortable with something like the CB125 or a MT125 for example, yet it's trully fine for me, so i think it'll suit you well :) the only 125 i know with this height or higher is the KTM 125 Duke with 830mm too and the brand new Husqvarna 125 Svartpilen (Which i LOVE so much) with 835mm, but try sitting on it in a shop first, it'll give you an idea of what i mean :) As for the Zontes U1, it's even lower than a CB125r so i'd scrap that one. Cheers and thank you once again!
@@DaveButtonz thx for the fast reply, keep the content coming and the subs will rise!. Ill sit on it at a shop first, the new svartpillen is sick, but so expensive and heavy, i believe its 170kg and 5100/5300 euros or something. Its based on his bigger brother i believe. Thx again mate, ill keep you up to date.
@@MauriProsch Yeah, the problem with those premium brands is that they make the 125cc prices so high that you think twice about getting a 125 or a 300/400 as the diference is so short.. but surely try them out to understand what they're like. I'll try to get some tests of those 125's to the channel once all this calms down ;)
Yep, it’s the original, it sounds even better in person eheh, i’ll upload a video soon with better audio where you can notice the sound better. I never thought that a non-premium 125 could sound this good when I bought it lol
Well, i could only do it downhill and it topa at 131kph, but on the flat the max i’ve got was 122, but when the weather gets better I’ll do a vid about it :)
Hey Dave! I really appreciate your Videos of your Journey with the Zontes. I'm planning to get the G1 as well after my B196 Lessons here in Germany (addition to the normal Car license for 125ccm Motorcycles without any Test). May I ask you some questions? 1. How did the engine light issue resolve? Was it only a "false Signal" or was there any other issue? 2. It seems that the G1X is only available in Portugal (couldn't find anything on other than portuguese websites). Are the only difference to the G1 the wheels? May could have found it out by myself, but I don't speak portuguese 😂 Stay safe and enjoy your bike my friend!
Hey mate, thank you so much! The engine light is apparently triggered by a faulty sensor during cold weather, it usually goes away by just deleting the error at the shop, and sometimes it goes off by itself, but there's is a recall being prepared already to solve this permanently. As for the G1X basically that's the only difference, the spoked wheels, which look cooler but also cost and extra 300€ which i don't think it's worth honestly, but if you like, go for it ;) but i think it is supposed to be available in all countries, hope they reach Germany soon eheh. Good luck getting yo license and thanks for the feedback! Stay safe :)
@@DaveButtonz Thanks for your reply, sounds not so bad than for the enginge light issue. Hope my future bike has it solved then ;D Really hope for the G1X to be released very soon here, but I think it wont be released here within the next two months. Planning getting it by mid-april, but depends on the further lockdown here in Germany.
@@matthiass.1879 The UK only has the spoked wheels as far as i know which I am getting at the end of February and regarding the engine light being on, Zontes has told me that all new deliveries to dealers the light problem will have been rectified.
@@matthiass.1879 Hope you be able to get it :) if not, i swear the normal G1 will do the job just fine eheh, i wanted the black G1X since the beggining, but ended up getting the Yellow normal G1... and now i cannot see myself without it this way lol
Hey man! Before buying the Zontes i wanted the RKF, so i checked one from a kid that was selling his.. and basically it felt a bit cheap, the plastics are too crappy (the front wheel guard easily breaks with the wind) and the tires that comes with it is just trash... okayish in the summer, useless and dangerous in the rain.. it has no ABS and it lacks a bit of power. On the other hand it has an awsome look for a 125cc (a mix between the MT-125 and a Duke 125), it's light and has a low seat height, which is cool for begginers feeling confortable... but i don't recomend it lol for a bit more you'd get this Zontes which feels WAY more premium and is super fun :)

Still enjoying the G1 Dave, mine is due in at the end of the month I am told. I part exchanged my AJS tempest 125.
I'm loving it more each day :) specially now that the first maintenance has been done, it's feels more lively and smooth. You'll love it ;)
