【Ride POV】 First time at Serra da Arrábida - Sesimbra + 2x CB650r【ZONTES G1 125】
Went on a saturday chill ride to Serra da Arrábida (Sesimbra, Portugal) with two friends on Honda CB650r's.
It was actually my second time i've got to ride the G1 outside the city, too bad there was a bit of traffic, but i'll try to make a more sporty ride next time for you to see how fun a 125 can be in the twisties, even if you have zero experience :)

Taking the Zontes G1 to see the beach. This time with better audio, since i got a foam cover for the Gopro, it filters the wind really well. Hey guys, just a random clip edited on the GoPro app. I've turned my mirrors upside-down, even tho they became pratically useless because i can't see anything without removing my arm from the way first, and then the vibrations won't help to understand anything. But anyway, i've ordered some new bar-end mirrors, similar to the KTM Duke ones, which to me are way better aesthetically and maybe bet...

Hey doods, POV Riding in Lisbon after work, just got some light traffic, enough to stretch the gears a bit :) Bike's almost reaching the 2k kms and it's getting better and better, feels more torquey and loose, right what we need. Soon i'll do a in depth review of my thoughts on the G1, just stay tuned! Oh, and i'm working on doing better audio capture too, so i get rid of all the wind noise. xx...

Still testing the Hero 7 Black Sorry about the wind once again, this day was extremely windy and i'm still using the camera's mic to capture sound, which is not the best solution for motovlogging. My first video riding my Zontes G1 to work. Here you can have a glimpse of the G1 riding on various type of roads including freeway and city. Bike is still on the first km's and i'm still a beginner, so sorry if it looks boring. It was the engine light :) it was before doing the first maintenance.
i wanted to flip the mirrors on my zt too but i have a question: do they interfere with some maneuvers or in general?
Well it depends on the angle, you have to turn the wheel and check if the mirror is touching the tank, if it’s not then you’ll be fine, but it will take some time to get used to use them like that, but once you’re used it’s fine :)

How perform the tyres in those conditions?
They were surprisingly good, i was a bit affraid of loosing grip in the wet but never felt insecure riding in the rain, i,ve riden it all winter under cold and rainy weather and it was a pleasure to ride.

I bought em right off the dealership, those are the same that come standard with the U1
Hard to make out gradients. That 130 was obs downhill - but whats it do on the flat?
On flat it can do 120, 125 tops, depending on the weight.
Como se trocam os espelhos assim?
Tens que retirar os protetores de punhos, e retiras os espelhos e literalmente trocas os espelhos dum lado para o outro e virados para baixo. Apenas tem atenção a ver uma posição em que não batam no depósito ao virar o guiador.
@@DaveButtonz era como eu pensava, mas tinha medo de ao retirar os espelhos não conseguir encaixar os espelhos no respetivo local.
@@tiagocorreia857 isso é relativamente fácil, o problema é nãos ser prático de se usar depois, mas é uma questão de hábito, pelo menos em aspecto compensa imenso ;)

Excellent, nice riding. All I can do is watch videos on the G1 125... Well at least I'm closer to getting on one, I get my G1 125 (2022) in two weeks or so 🤪 Patience is a virtue... I've had the Ducati 906 paso, Honda 125 retro and Kawasaki KZ 900 in the past. All great motorcycles of course. But there's something about this G1 125 that is really fulfilling to eye 👀. Can't wait to break her in nicely. And then do some traveling! Love that 20 liter gas tank!!! Giving you a ton of kilometers. Nice video, thx for sharing 👍
Thanks :) It’s a really pleasant bike to ride, it’s well built and smooth. Having the 20 liter tank is good for long distance rides but makes the bike feel heavy and unbalanced when full, i usually only put around 15l as it already lasts for loads of km’s and won’t feel that heavy. Hope you enjoy yours and be safe riding it ✌️

Boas David...serás o David que conheço? Ao fim deste tempo de utilização da mota qual a tua opinião da mesma. Já vi também a Benelli lencino 125 claro, mas está parece superior.
Grande Ivo! sou eu mesmo hehe ;) tudo em cima? A benelli não é nada má, mas na minha opinião esta é o melhor compromisso preço/qualidade, apesar de ser um pouco alta (83cm), é uma questão de as ver ao vivo e tirar a conclusão.

My man, I got the same bike. It is GOOD. I did a 2.5 hour trip holding even 100km/h without any fatigue from the engine

If you want to have the mirrors down side you have to change their positions. The right mirror left and vice versa. And if you do this the mirrors will have external slope and will be more effective.
Olá! Também estou a pensar adquirir uma Zontes como a tua. Qual esta a ser a experiência um ano depois? Algum defeito evidente, ferrugens ou alguma coisa que devo me precaver? Desde já obrigada e boas curvas!

Fazes tu muito bem 😉 Bom, a experiência tem sido positiva até hoje, tenho andado com ela praticamente todos os dias para o trabalho, faça chuva ou faça sol e ela nunca me deixou mal, bons consumos, boa performance (para uma 125). Sem duvida que é uma excelente primeira mota para quem se quer iniciar, no entanto apenas alerto que é um pouquinho pesada e também alta para quem não está habituado, mas são coisas que com o hábito facilmente se contorna 😌 quanto a desgaste e ferrugens, posso dizer que ela sempre dormiu na rua sem nunca ser tapada e até hoje está como nova, mas deixo no entanto um alerta… trata muito bem da corrente e, assim que possivel, troca por uma de O-rings… esta que elas trazem é boa até prai aos 5000kms, após isso fica larga.. mas não te irás arrepender, garanto-te! Boas curvas, ride safe.
You change gear too early bro. Change gear around 5-6 k rpm or more. Except for first gead

It's a 125 so not alot. Plus it has a 20 liter fuel tank. Up to 600miles on eco mode

Boas, tenho uma igual mas preta, a minha também começou a acender a luz do motor, mas aposto que deva ser por conta do frio, reparei que essa desenvolve bastante bem, já a minha chega aos 123 km/h e começa a cortar. Boas curvas👍

Hello This seems to be your latest video. Nothing new since five months - I hope you ok? Anyways ty for the insight into the Zontes - cause I am planning to buy a 125 and this is probably my favorite candidate. The one thing I am concerned is weight. I am a pretty tall and heavy guy. In some reviews I already heard the hight should not be the main issue, other people around 1,90 could ride it. But what about the weight? I already weight around 100 kg and what if you have a second person sitting behind you? You got any experience of how the bike deals with being loaded?
I Found out on his instagram account that he had an accident... I Think that he is ok but the bike had some damages...

Hey Lukas. Thanks for your concern, but unfortunately i’ve had an accident with the bike and am still waiting for it to be fixed, had a guy cross in front of me and unfortunately the Zontes brakes couldn’t brake soon enough.. but well, it happens, and im not hurt, just hurt for being without the bike for 2 months :( but as soon as i get it back ill try to make new stuff :)

Not alot. Even in eco mode it'll do 600miles on one tank of fuel if ridden lightly. It has a 20 liter tank

Boas videos!! Eu moro em Almada e estou a pensar comprar uma G1 também. Queria perguntar o que acha da mota nas autoestradas? Eu sei que nao é feita para isso, mas teria que fazer Almada - Parque das Naçoes para ir trabalhar, e assim de mota nao apanho o transito. Porque do resto, a mota parece otima. Obrigado!!
Boas! Obrigado :) Bom, digamos que assim de uma forma bastante geral todas as 125 são um pesadelo em autoestrada, elas bem atingem os 120kmh mas assim que apanhas inclinação rapidamente desces para os 90/80… mas para atravessar a ponte é na maior :)

You cant change gear ratio. Only the sprocket sizes.

You've gotta run it in before you do any top speeds. Unless you want a conrod through the block of the engine.

I don’t know the Benelli, but just for being a 250 it would certainly be “better” to cruise with.
