    This is awesome! You are the man! I’ve been scouring the internet for a decent review of the rear seat space trying to find out if this could work for my family. The typical TH-cam reviewer doesn’t give it more than 30 seconds of attention. Your review was so thorough and answered all my questions. If you ever quit your day job you could make a better car journalist than many of the “pros” out there 😂 Keep up the good work!

      wow, that really means a lot... i have been putting a lot of time and effort into these videos so it is great to get positive feedback. I am a jack of all trades when it comes to home improvement and IT, i joke with my wife that if i had to do any of those things to make a living, we would go hungry because it takes me so long haha. Either way, i appreciate your kind words. Cheers

      I sat in the passenger seat yesterday for the first time and I will say it's extremely comfortable
      It was more comfortable the the challenger I sold a couple years ago
      I haven't tried the back seat yet but I try it out when I can get over my anxiety from my wife driving yesterday lol

      Wow, I appreciate the comment and kind words. I’m SOOOOO excited to get my new 360 camera and take the ranger out to a trail this Friday! Hoping to get some good footage of this bad boy in its natural habitat doing what it is made for! Happy to hear your truck is being built! You are going to love it. Cheers

    Love the content. Answering the real questions that all of us who've ordered a Ranger Raptor have wondered. Love the Strongbad reference! Keep it up!

      Right on... i have 3 daughters all out of boosters but when they were in car seats it was a pain... but i managed to get them all fit into the back of a ford focus so i am completely confident that i could get all 3 in here!

    As others have said, thanks for a detailed review of the rear seat legroom. So many other reviewers neglect to provide the details, such as your height and where the front seat is positioned. Making me think the Ranger over the Tacoma.

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I love tacomas and have had two of them but this ranger is a whole different animal.

      @@flaberdoopin In a good way? I love Toyota quality, but I'm not sure they are making the same quality pickups as previous generations. Plus the Tacoma rear seat has zero legroom.

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Anonymous-sy2nh i say yes, in a good way. the tacomas i had all seem like they were just underpowered for the size compared to the alternatives.

    This makes me want to get one, was contemplating full size f-150 vs this but seeing that you fit fine as a tall guy that takes away one of the cons I was worried about

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      right on... dont get me wrong, i would be far more comfortable in an F-150 but i personally dont want a full size truck just becasue of the overall size of the thing living near DC. And i wanted the Raptor trim and that gets expensive quick in the full size.

    It works for your "thin" size but for some that have a little tire around the waist. That changes a lot.

    It's hard to believe that I am still learning features on my Raptor
    I just found the shift tone and now testing @ what rpm to set it @
    I think 4500 for upshift and 3000 rpm @ downshifts
    I'm still testing
    This world make a great video for you
    Have fun and be safe

      awesome... i played with that a little but but i was driving at the time and didn't get too far into it. I'll make a video about that for sure. thanks for the idea!

    I want to get one and have the 360 viewer since I like to trail off-road. The places I have gone.....😂 you don't see far in front so feels sketchy.

    One thing the lane keep assist will always reactivate once you start the car, also the front fog lamps will always need to be manually switched on again

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good info, i didn't realize that these features reset every time you cycle power. just like the auto start stop i guess.

    I have a question about the adaptive cruise that has kept me up at night. Do the brake lights come on when your truck decelerates and you haven't touched the brake pedal?

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, the brake lights do come on just as though you are actually hitting the brake pedal. I’ll try to figure out a way to get a camera behind the truck(maybe a rig attached to tow hitch) to show one angle from behind and one from inside to show that it works like that

    Random question about your sub- does it turn on and off with the auto start stop feature on the Ranger raptor?

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      the sub is hardwired to the battery but has internal circuitry that will only power on the amp when it sees a voltage on the signal wires. There is an option to hook up a signal wire that will turn the amp on and off but the internal circuit has been working for me so far so i will probably just stick with that.

    Nice for what it is, but space is a real killer. Still beats what old school ranger offered that’s for sure

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely, I didn’t want a full size so this was to be expected. Midsize trucks today are just about the size of full size trucks in the 90s

    Adaptive cruise control is great until the vehicle in the right or left lane decides to turn. What happens is the vehicle thinks your going to crash into it and then slams on the brakes
    I'm a professional driver and this is a big problem
    Don't get me wrong, I do like it, but when your vehicle slams on brakes a few times, you'll understand why it needs to be addressed
    Love your videos they are the best!!!

    • @Aaron_Voltz
      @Aaron_Voltz หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Also Radar Assisted Adaptive Cruise Control turns itself off when it's winter time \ cold temps. and there's either road spray or any other condition that builds up even a thin layer of ice on the Radar sensor. So during those rare times, I have to go into the menus and select regular Cruise Control. Otherwise it won't let me use it at all.

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i have noticed that... and you are right, it is an accident waiting to happen... i have noticed a few times that the car seriously errs on the side of caution and if you are being followed closely by someone behind you, it could catch them off guard where a normal driver wouldn't be slamming on the brakes that way. I appreciate your input and will absolutely be on the look out for these types of scenarios!

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, Honda is under a class 2 inspection on this very same problem erratic braking. Also, I'm not sure the brake lights come on when this action happens.
      I think a test is in order 🤔

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      i'm going to set up a camera that hangs over the back that can see the tail lights and get out on the road to put this to the test!!!!!
