    Love your efforts so much. Some terms: "Speaker" is typically a collection of "Drivers" reproducing one discrete full-range channel: Left, Right etc. A "One-Way" speaker has only 1 Driver. Two-Way has 2 drivers (Tweeter/Woofer). 3-Way Speaker has 3 drivers (Tweet/Mid/Woofer). A "Sub" is typically 1 giant Low Frequency Drive that plays the "Lows" from all the channels. OMG. I love every Tube you put out. The tinkering is the best part. We are all terrified of screwing up our Truck and you have the Nads to leap in and do it.

    So I went on Tuesday and was able to secure the 3rd of 3 allotments at a local dealership for a RR. It was in the color I wanted, shelter green. Assembly won't begin until July so the truck should come in August/sept. The allotment before me just secured, a black truck, so I feel very fortunate, especially at MSRP. Thanks for the content because it's fun to see what owners are doing. Can't wait to see the paint in person. Now like a kid in October waiting till Christmas, I count the days which seem like FOREVER.

    Polarity check by noting original connection. Using a AAA, AA, C or D Battery (1.5VDC) touch old tweeter and new tweeter and notice the driver movement. 1.5VDC is the perfect signal to discover the diaphragm moving inward or outward. Reading through your transcripts isn't helping and screen-shotting you at the table yields blurry Pioneer Boxes(can't read the part numbers) and I have no clue what tweeters you purchased. I see in your other video the multi channel amp you purchased so I'm good there and plan on a Kicker 10". I purchased a 24 Ranger XLT and it comes with the stock six speaker system which under performs even worse than the B&O in the Lariat and Raptor. Finding speakers that fit has been an issue with this being a new model year so your video is near perfect informationwise, just no links in the description. If you could help, I would appreciate it. hey, thanks for the vid. Have you thought about slightly bigger tires? I don't mean the diameter, I mean a wider tire but one that still is 33 inches in diameter. I think stock tireს are fine, but they look too tucked in and do not have a proper stance. I think that something like a 315/65 r17 tire on stock wheels would look much better in there, have a better stance and not mess up the steering geometry.

    • @flaberdoopin
      @flaberdoopin  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Interesting thought, I haven’t thought of bigger width tires to be honest. That should work but I wonder if you would need to add a bit of wheel offset to avoid rubbing on a tight turn, obviously no suspension travel issue but if wheels are hard over I wonder if it would rub.

    • @nihontoman
      @nihontoman 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@flaberdoopin well, that is the main question! But I don't like messing with the offset, because it inevitably destroys the steering geometry and it would be a sacrilege to spoil such an excellent steering on a truck 😀
      Anyways, this could be an interesting idea for your future videos - what's the widest/tallest tire one coul fit in without any modification to the suspension and wheel offset

    I say this in the most light hearted jest possible. You can't stop messing with your truck, can you? I like all that you have done. The sound proofing is definately cool. However, I don't like taking things apart cuz afterwards there is always a squeak or rattle. And I am definitely not mechanically inclined in any way to attempt any of what you have done. How much quieter is the interior with the soundproofing? I feel the factory set up is sufficient; however, I do hear a little wind whistle that is annoying, so I just turn up the radio. Also, I put kicker amps in all my trucks, and I like the way you found to install yours. I may have that done with mine. You did have me scratching my head on your first oil change and testing the oil. Normally, I would just follow factory guidelines but now you have me a bit paranoid.

    Upgrading your factory B&O sound system is a complete waste of time unless you install a new DSP, and if you want perfect integration with OEM Ford functionality you must use an A2B (Ford OEM audio Bus ) DSP, this can be integrated into an aftermarket amp like the Mobridge A2B or stand alone like Navtv Zen A2B, like others said in the comments, the factory B&O is perfectly tuned for all of its components and is excellent for most people, but by no means high fidelity and definitely not worthy of the B&O name, do it the right way or dont do it at all.......just my 2 cents
