I have a congenital dental disease and since I was a kid I convinced myself "I love going to the dentist" and it really glued to my mind. With workouts it's the same: I love it, it works and I get fitter and prettier.
I heard this from you and now it makes more sense. I'll keep convincing my mind that I truly love what I do. It even started showing up on my desk job. I do more and faster because I say: I'm good at this, it's easy for me, I love seeing a job done.
This is a simple and easy tip, and it works.

Marisa, thank you. Vishen, thank you. You really went mining in the Valley of the Mind when you found Marisa Peer because she is magnificent and spot on with her expertise and techniques. I listened to another discussion last night with both of you and it truly inspired and helped me in many ways. More love and power to you both. One of the best speakers you have Vishen Lakhiani!

I love this video. The issue that lingers from my childhood is that I got over-praised and was always being left alone with parents assuming I could do a lot of things I didn’t know how to or wasn’t old enough to do (“simple” things like cleaning my room)-knew my IQ when I was. 7. So I didn’t think I had to study, try, practice things I wanted to be good at. Praise for effort rather than for results would have been better. I was finally diagnosed with ADD at age 49, which explained some of my struggles with following through. But without external pressure, I still fight to get myself to do what’s needed, even wanted. Any suggestions (all welcome)?

I always thought you had to act on your new subconscious prompting, after your mind had accepted a new program from hypnotherapy or other auto suggestion. We have to act, follow through. How does hypnotherapy work, for example somebody who is hard of hearing or blind or another disability?

I think the message is lost here. People do what they "hate" because at the end of it, they will get something they "like" in return. For example, someone forces herself to exercise and eat healthy meals everyday because she wants to lose weight and if she pulls through, chances are she WILL lose weight.
Perhaps, you can figure out what exactly it is that you will enjoy doing and start making micro steps for the change during your non-working hours. If you want to be a pâtissier, you have to start by baking simple recipes everyday and then gradually move to more difficult ones. If you want to be a programmer, you have to start by coding simple things before moving to complicated programs. Not everyone likes their day jobs either but still, bills need to be paid. That's the reason why some people will do what they like after work: yoga, violin, calligraphy etc etc. Find something that you like and make the transition slowly but perpetually.
However, if you still feel suicidal or depressive, please do get professional help first.

I Did What I Hated To Get Ahead For my family: I Left my children At Home & Day Cares (Which Really Were NIGHTMARES For us), I Went To College, Worked Scrubbing The Rich Man Boats & Toilets, Then Gave That Money Away To That College, With A "PROMISE" From Them, To Get A Job Starting At A Pay, I'd Never Get On my Own, Then Couldn't Get A Job Cleaning Toilets In That Profession---
Then I Watched A Drug Addict, Racist, Ugly Human Being, Inside & Out, Tormenting my animals I Found Out Later, Bragging About Her Race, Destroying Other Races, Including Mine, To Stay On Top, Laughing When I Told Her That Was Happening To Me Throughout My Life, And The People Admitted It, One Way Or The Other, And Talking VERY Badly About Me Behind my Back Of Course, While I Opened My Home To This Creature 3 Times, Each Time Her Screwing Me Over & Me Forgiving Her & Still Helping Her, While Watching My Government Hand Her A Job She Was Able To Afford To Get A New Car & BUY, A Home, While My Government Plotted Me To Destroy Me💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️
Am Done With All This Non-Sense Of loving & Forgiving, & Lifting Others Up, Cause The Universe Will Repay me Back With Abundance In That All💔💔💔
Maybe The Universe Is Sick Of Alllllllll-l This Bull-$hit Tooo, And WANTS!!! You All Destroyed......... 🗡️
Other Wise, Nature Wouldn't Be Getting Worst By The Year, Not To Mention People & Systems Getting Crueler & Crueler🗡️🗡️🗡️
And I Don't Think IT'S A Coinsedence IT Started When I Was Being Betrayed By Alll I loved & Trusted💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️💔🗡️

START IN THE NAME OF THE LAW
DO YOU CONTINUOUSLY TRAVEL FROM TEDIUM TO APATHY WITH AN OCCASIONAL SIDE EXCURSION TO MONOTONY?
How long are you going to say to yourself, “Everything is fine,” when you know that it is merely adequate? How long are you going to know, in your heart of hearts, that you can do more, give more, achieve more, inspire more and produce more before you exit from the train whose FINAL destination is “Procrastination City, in the state of Purgatory”? How long will your heart remain in cardiac arrest from inactivity before your arteries are blocked beyond repair? How long will it be before you transfuse yourself with an invigorating pint (or two or three) of “B Positive” blood? How long will it be before you rise up from your reclining and declining physical and mental state before rigor mortis sets in? Do you really believe, as Mick Jagger once opined, that “time is on your side”? Or that a “Rolling Stone” gathers no moss? (If you have seen a recent photo of the Stones, they have inarguably garnered a tremendous amount of “moss.” Please excuse the digression…)
My objective, with Project ELI (coincidentally the name of my young son), is to Educate, Lead and Inspire. Toward that end, let us enlist the aid of another British “Rock Star”, Winston Churchill (1874-1965), in pursuit of guidance and answers. Here are some of his timeless quotes (with an occasional parenthetical and “parent-theticle” commentary by yours truly). Please forgive my “Daditude.”
    Winston Churchill quotes:
“What is adequacy? Adequacy is no standards at all.” (Eli: “Joey got a “C” in math. I got a “B-.” Daditude: “If Joey jumped off the Empire State Building…” Don’t compare yourself with the 95% crowd.)
“We are stripped bare by the curse of plenty.” (Daditude: Modern technology has been very kind. Too kind! Use it as a tool to achieve a magnificent single OBSESSION. Do not use it as a crutch that claims your SOVEREIGNTY, daily, with its distracting influences. Please take your face out of your phone. I’d like to see your eyes and your smile.)
“It is wonderful what great strides can be made when there is a resolute purpose behind them.” (Daditude: There is nothing more important than activating your “WHY” chromosome. Make your “why” strong with quiet moments, EVERY DAY, visualizing your desired FINAL outcome. People will never achieve what they cannot SEE themselves doing.)
“I never worry about action, but only inaction.” (Daditude: To be a winner, you must be part of the small FACTION that takes ACTION. Remember: the action PRECEDES the feeling. Start in the name of the Law: The Law of Inertia. A body in motion will stay in motion. A body at rest is DEAD WEIGHT!)
“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last.” (Daditude: If you do nothing, you will ultimately become someone’s lunch. You are either working to accomplishing your dream or working to accomplish someone else’s dream.)
“It is no use saying, ‘we are doing our best.’ You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.” (Daditude: When you reach a roadblock, PERSISTENTLY seek a detour. Change your paradigm. Use a new starting line. The Universe will help GPS you to success. A burning desire {to not be denied your desired outcome,} activates your subconscious, AKA the Universe, to partner with you to find a solution. This sometimes comes in a breakthrough thought or a dream. It sometimes comes as a circumstance or condition that you could neither predict nor anticipate. Be vigilant! Start in the name of the law: The Law of Belief.)
“Continuous efforts-not strength or intelligence-is the key to unlocking our potential.” (Daditude: Same as above.)
“Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts. Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.” (Daditude: Same as above.)
“Everyone has his day, but some days last longer than others.” (Daditude: The Universe does NOT work with the same time schedule that we do. You must be patient and vigilant to receive its partnership assistance. Gestation times vary. Do you believe that we will one day find a cure for cancer? We must be impatient in the pursuit of this worthy goal and patient to receive the winning inspiration, i.e. Patiently impatient. Nature has its own timetable.)
“Out of intense complexities intense simplicity emerges.” (Daditude: The solution is always simple. The process may not be. Trust your gut when you receive Universal inspiration even if that inspiration may not seem “logical”. In the end, the logic will be exposed. Start in the name of the Law: The Law of Belief.)
“Every man should ask himself each day whether he is not too readily accepting negative solutions. Never hold discussions with the monkey when the organ grinder is in the room.” (Daditude: Judiciously select the company you keep. Debby Downer or Victor Victim will pull you down with more force than a tidal wave.)
“Employ your time in improving yourself by other men’s writings so that you shall come easily by what others have labored hard for.” (Daditude: Model success and seek it out from responsible venues.)
“If you are going through hell, keep going.” (Daditude: Persistently pursue your vision and overcome doubt with BELIEF.)
“Without courage, all other virtues lose their meaning.” (Daditude: Courage is frequently disguised as persistence.)
“The price of greatness is responsibility. When the eagles are silent, the parrots begin to jabber.” (Daditude: As the leader you MUST share the vision every day or the naysayers will put coal in your Christmas stocking. You must continually be the beacon of light that guides the group to the Promised Land…especially during an eclipse.)
“The first duty of the university is to teach wisdom, not a trade; character, not technicalities. We want a lot of engineers in the modern world, but we do not want a world of engineers.” (Daditude: Principles are timeless. Technology changes. Your leaders must possess winning principles. Knowledge alone is not power. Wisdom {what to do with knowledge} is power.)
“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” (Daditude: Amen) …Eli’s dad

yea hate! but we gotta do what we hate to be successful, i.e. rich, to prove that we're better than everyone else. having done that, it becomes imperative that we procreate, to pass our better-ness to the future so that our offspring can do what they hate, and before you know it, you've got a world full of hate...hooray! you-tube wisdom 101.
