  • Today I'm showing how I wired up these iJDMtoy DRLs for my 350z and where to tap into so you have a straight forward install. (They don't come with instructions) *NOTE: this is for 2006+ as that's what the part fits. I did not see any for 2003-2005, however, if you find some the install should be the same

    Its unbelievable the transformation this car has gone thru from the time you purchased it. You truly have a gift of bringing these cars back to life. Well done! I'm looking forward to more modifications on the QX70 as well, I know its a bit more difficult to find mods for that car.

    hey man, so i bought a new bumper ( 370z nismo bumper for 350z) and it has some lights on it and i basically followed your wiring. Works perfectly! But now my car keeps surging. Any ideas?

      no idea on the surging. Maybe try connecting it to a different fuse?

    Hey bro! I've wanted to get this lights for 04 350z but the description says they don't fit for older models. Do you know if the front bumper of 04 and 06 are any different?

    Thanks for this video! I’m planning my install of these shortly. I have an 06+ style bumper, the older Z33 kit from iJDM Toy is not as clean and refined looking (bulkier and less LEDs). Did you ever confirm the load side of the add a fuse? I’ve heard these can be installed backwards which could be a safety issue in the event of a short or fault.

      Hey so far so good. This is my 3rd z and this is how I've hooked up the DRLs on all of them over the years without issue. Did it like this on my G37 too when I added DRLs to it. 🤷‍♂️

      So I just finished installing the iJDM kit on my 06 Z. During the install I checked which side of the fuse bus is hot/feed and which is load. The right side (closest to driver side) of the box is Accessory “HOT”. The left side is the load. With the add a fuse setup in the orientation you and I both ran it, this is perfect. This is ensures the fuse is not bypassed, not risk of melting wires in the event of a fault. Your Z looks sweet btw. I love that color combo. What is the orange called?

    Thanks bro. That what I need to know. I'm working on it now. But other question, Why are the oem daytime running light is not on ? My is not on ether.

    • @GQ37official
      @GQ37official  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not sure, mine doesn't have oem DRLs. It has parking lights which is on the switch in the middle between off and the headlights on. Those still work, I swapped those to LED bulbs to match my 6k headlights and these 6k LED DRLs

    • @drdiabeetus3061
      @drdiabeetus3061 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nissan calls these “parking lights” but they are more properly the DRLs. I want my iJDM Toy bumper LEDs to only turn on when I switch the headlights or parking lights on. So I guess I need the white wire connected. The question is where? I’m guessing the main power or signal wire at the headlight harness. Which I think is the red wire. But not 100% on this yet.

      @@drdiabeetus3061 I had these previously wired in and when I had them, I wanted them to work the exact same way you’re asking about. So I ended up tapping into the power fuse for the factory DRLs!

    Where do u connect the white wire if I want that functionality ?

      @GQ37official  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure, I imagine that’s for a kill switch if you want to be able to turn them off? 🤷‍♂️

    So I deleted my comment cause I seen that it does have power to the lights but very very low power. What could be the problem?

    Hi. I bought this same lights. But i found out that without ACC , light can not turn blinkers. So there is no way to drive a car without day lights , but blinkers would works. Have you this same situation?

    • @GQ37official
      @GQ37official  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure I understand your issue. As shown in the video I powered it to use accessory power so that they come on any time the car is on for DRL ( Daytime Running Lights) and I tapped them to the blinkers so that they switchback and forth to blinker and regular LED light. I worked fine for me, I've done it this way on several 350z cars with no issues. If you want to be able to turn them off and on you will need to wire it to a switch which is different.

    For me, the lights were not working with the add a fuse but they did turn on when I connect the wire straight to the battery. What could be the problem?

    • @GQ37official
      @GQ37official  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you're not getting a good connection somewhere or you need to try a different fuse location with accessory power. Make sure your ground is good and try a different 10a fuse location
