Excellent video, very good detailed explanations. It shed some light with regards to a subwoofer I want to install in my 350Z. Although I want to install a 10" powered boxed subwoofer in that back space, without utilizing the metal plate that a non boxed subwoofer is attached to.
Great tutorial, I just took out the subwoofer mounting plate off my 350 yesterday. How have those speaker grill clips/clamps been holding up? Concern is with the amount of vibration produced from the sub they would come loose over time.
i don’t know if you will see this but what did you do about the seatbelt, there is the big hole on the side into the body and where the belt comes out how did you seal that?
Ok did u use any foam on the out side edge of the speak.. do you thin sound deading on the plate to which the woofer attaches would prevent the vibration u hear at high levels on the sub. Finally what would you do differently if u had to do it again
LOVE THE CONTENT ! Word of advice, Edit/Cut your TH-cam videos, when installing or uninstalling make it a fast forward moment. 😉 thank you again for uploading a 350z audio set 🫱🏼🫲🏾
Clips I had from an old speaker box but they do sale them on Amazon and speaker does not hit plastic casing cuz I did not put plastic cover over speaker if that’s what you mean 👍

Few concerns.. was that the fuel pump you covered with all the sound dampening? How did it sound? Could have played a bass testing video. And is it possible to delete the glove box and do the same on the passenger side? I don’t want to waste what limited space I have to put a box in the back.
Yes fuel pump was covered but easily to get to if you wanted to it sounds good I really like it bass is deep but if I crank it up it will cause some vibrations the metal is then but I don’t crank it fool blast any ways so it’s good 👍
Do you have to get rid of the factory sub and amp to use an aftermarket one? My subs don’t seem to be working because of the factory sub and amp so Idk if I have to take them out or what.

Clips are good to go I never have to tighten them 👍
Think to just put a small box in that compartment ?
I tried that made a lot of vibrations 🫨

Yes I made a wall out of cardboard and tape around that seatbelt area it still holds strong to this day !
what kind of bolts did you use to go through that metal? i’m looking for a bit or nut for my drill that I can break that metal with
Self drilling screw is what they are called thank you for question
Hi after fitting that sub did the cover fit back over or did u have to cut it out. Can u do a video of after u reassembled the sub
Yes cover fit on perfectly no problem

Uh?whered u get the clips to hold down the sub an did the sub ever hit the plastic casing in the back of the driver side or no?

@@rfl35 I'm not sure what to search for but those clips would definitely help. my subwoofer has been improperly mounted in that spot for the longest

Fyi the other side with the glove box is actually the fuel pump location hence the removable tray inside to allow access.

You can always just put a sub box and amp in the back cargo area and leave the factory sub and amp in just disconnect the power from them
Are u able to put the plastic cover over the sub again? Or does it not fit?
You would need an after market grill plastic cover won’t fit
Great video! Where in Texas are you located?
