My dad has been doing upholstery his whole life and i have learned a lot from him, you could had used only suede any kind of type and install right on top of ur original material no need to remove the foam unless ur headliner is damaged
@@DitoCardona you would spray glue on ur headliner on its material and u would also spray glue on the suede that you would be puting on, let it dry half way then apply.
loved the video bro only thing that wouldve made it convenient is if you added all the product links you used to help us a bit. Regardless appreciate the tutorial and attention to detail!
Nice video. I've been wanting to do this to mine. I thought you couldn't do it to the sun roof visor. I like that you got an extra one to work on while still keeping your og one inside your car.
You can run the wires down the back corner panel and hide the box in the trunk area, there are videos to demonstrate where one would place the module. Hope this helped out.
I’d love to see how you actually got the sunroof cover wired and put in the car. Since it doesn’t connect to the headliner I’m afraid I’d rip all the lights out trying to get the cover back on the track
Great job kinda wonder how it’s cabled to the power source and how you got the mess of wire to sit above the headliner nicely, I know you glued it down but all those zip tied sections wired to what exactly?
Hey bro I just did this to my Lexus gs430, where did you hide the light engine? Down behind the back seats? I currently have the rear c pillars removed, and the box just sitting back there with the sub. I have the wires bundled up so it will fit, I just don’t want the box visible through my back windshield. Subscribed, appreciate you!
Lol thank you, and I’d love to! Just balancing the time between doing something for the car, filming and editing I always end up on the short end of time or just not home. But trust me that’s the direction I’m aiming lol
Very in-depth tutorial, thank you! :D I'll be adding to my '20 Fusion Titanium AWD. Do you know if there is a way to integrate the fiber optic cables to turn on / off at the same time your exterior lights do? That would be sick.
I ran a 12V extension under the rear seats, under the rear carpet and behind the rear AC vents into the 12V socket in the center console. They turn on when you turn the key/press start and turn off 1 hour after turning your Fusion off.
Just splice the power cable into your lights. I’m gonna try wiring mine to the front because I wanna connect it directly to the battery like I did with my dashcam so I’d just have to extend it to the headlights and splice it into those wires so when they turn on it does too. Alternatively if you have an auxiliary battery you can just connect it to that and and splice them into the taillights which is less tedious
i just wanted to know where you got a new headliner for your fusion i have a 2013 fusion and did starlights and suede but am not satisfied and wanted to redo it
hey guys, loved the video. I have a question I'm doing this right now to my car. I have taken my roof liner out and have glued on the suede material on to my roof. my holes are marked. I've noticed after drilling about 15 holes that the drill bit I'm sing it twisting the suede and making it look pretty bad. I'm glad I noticed it. any body have any suggestions on what I can use to make the holes for the fiber optic lines without twisting up the material. I noticed in your video you kit came with drill bits. Where they a certain kind and did you ever run into the problem of your material twisting up?
I've watched like 7 of these now and I can't find a video where someone shows where the led driver goes. I know it'll be different for every car and each starlight kit but I'd like to see a general idea of what type of spaces the box will fit.
okay!!!! I bought a similar kit where did you connect your kit? my comes with a smaller cable and my understand is you need to put the box on the back so where do I connect it ?
I haven't done my fusion yet, but on my last car I ran the optics back through one of the back pillars and had the box in the trunk in a little net so it didn't move around, u did have to cut a hole in the trunk liner for the fiber optics though... I want to mess with the fusion to see if there's anywhere that the power box will fit without cutting tbough
Does it hurt the headliner if you just put the suede over the original material? I need to find out because I will be putting lights this week so needd to know if it’s ok to just put it over it.
My dad has been doing upholstery his whole life and i have learned a lot from him, you could had used only suede any kind of type and install right on top of ur original material no need to remove the foam unless ur headliner is damaged
That’d make it so much easier! So would there be any specific prep to the headliner fabric already in place since it’d be fabric glued to fabric?
@@DitoCardona you would spray glue on ur headliner on its material and u would also spray glue on the suede that you would be puting on, let it dry half way then apply.
my headliner had water on it from a leak and stained, so i would assume remove mine?
a@@Armens_63s
Will not removing the old fabric affect the fitment at all?
Hello... That's a very nice video.. can you show were are you connected and the position of the power and light supply...
And he put a heart in it for his gf 😢 ❤ so sweet nice job Dito
Dats SOLID bro and very well detailed for us that's trying to DIY . Mahalos
I would recommend Permatex Headliner adhesive!
That was awesome. Thank you!
I install sunroof in cars and what I use for removing the foam is a simple sand paper or sandpaper block and it's very easy
Aftermarket sunroof are junk lol
I agree with you! Its just my job but I will never do that to my vehicle
@@eliyamil117 me either lol. I installed them for 22 yrs. Them camry braces are the worst 😫
Awesome job
Very awesome video bro! Thank you for being very thorough through the whole process 👍🏼

Wow I really enjoyed this video. Made the process look achievable rather than doubtful. Thanks for the details.

Well done and explained top notch!
Where did you hide the module?

I love your videos. Just gotta wait till I get the money to do all of this
The starlight kits the most expensive part but it’s worth it!
I am very glad you showed how to do it. I would say Dito that you are a pro.
Super cool video. Great upgrade, and very good job with the explanation. Thanks bro💪🏼
Great content ill be doing this to my 2020 ford fusion
Same. I can’t wait but of course it’s gonna take some days
Starlights on a 2020 would be awesome!
Very informative vid bro, sorry i wasnt able to see how it was powered in the vehicle
awsome explanation
brother this was an amazing video man. Imma do this when i get my car. you best believe that! keep it up man!
Link for the kit/fabric? I've done one before with just dying the fabric and an amazon motor for the lights, but yours seems of better quality
I’d love to see how you actually got the sunroof cover wired and put in the car. Since it doesn’t connect to the headliner I’m afraid I’d rip all the lights out trying to get the cover back on the track
Did u figure this out I feel this is vital information he left out😅
yo guys did you figure it out?
@@brycegunderson5838wb you?
I'm still on the part when he ask hope I'm dealing well. 🤝 "I'm not sure, but I'm sure don't you ever just get........"
Your camera angle and speech reminds me of chris fix, you sure you arent his brother, chris builds? 😂

How do I see where you got the swade and starlight from?
Alr that’s a pretty sick fusion, I’m not big on the wheels but damn
So where did u place the led box
I probably missed it, but how long did the whole process take?
Is there a link to all the materials used?

@@DitoCardona I’m new here great video I’m bout to get starlights. So definitely loved your video. What color is the wrap on your car?
Man how you drill the holes without the suede getting caught on the drill bit? Mines keeps getting tangle with the drill bit

I should make a video on my fusion. Looks simalar to yours and I have the same looking headliner but I combined 3 kits and 1150 lights
Do u install these ?? Would love to do this to my daughter's car as a surprise before she leaves to college
Where do you live i do them as a side business
What size drill bit do we use??
Hey, awesome video! I was wondering how did u install the sunroof and headliner all together at the end
Bro made a ford fusion actually kinda cool 👍🏼
i love starlight headliners but it makes me so sad since they look so bad in trucks but there so pretty any tips on how to make them work with a truck
i just wanted to know where you got a new headliner for your fusion i have a 2013 fusion and did starlights and suede but am not satisfied and wanted to redo it
From 13 to 15 I want to say is the same maybe 15-19 is the same but I’m not 100% so you can go to a a ford dealership to get it
Was hoping on seeing the wiring but 2 thumps up.
cool lighting working on mines this year also where did you urder the fabric thanks

Use an upholstery needle. Might be a bit tedious when pushing the fibre optic through but worth not destroying your suede
Im having the same issue lol. Its so random when it decides to do it
Yeah I was told use a needle
I’ve been looking for one tht actually does the twinkle effect sent back like 5 different sets cuz they didn’t do what I wanted
Finally found a reason to buy one of those auto glue guns.
Is this on your shade for your moonroof also?
Can you show us where u connected and positioned the power supply
Can u cut them with clippers instead of the nail clippers?
How did you route the motor? I have the same kit and it seems huge im not sure where to locate it
Did u happen to find a spot for it boss??
@Dito Cardona can u send an exact link to the suede fabric, bc there are many sorts, and i want to have the right one
Niiice. Now can you do a video on how to do these Fiber Optics on the door panels?? Lolol
Does the new fabric come padded already? Would you say this can be done over the weekend with full installation?
No it doesn't, it depends it's very time consuming, some people have done everything in 8 hours with a help of a friend
Hey bro how did you remove the sunroof ?? I’m having trouble and I have my whole headliner out already ..
I've watched like 7 of these now and I can't find a video where someone shows where the led driver goes. I know it'll be different for every car and each starlight kit but I'd like to see a general idea of what type of spaces the box will fit.
Thats the thing man, every car is different. Just gotta pull things apart to familiarize yourself with the areas.
How did you set up the sunroof cover optics
Links to everything?
What are the headlights called? I’m trying to find what you have.
I ŁOVE your videos, keep it up🎉❤
Thank you!
How did you connect the lights to your car. Do you use a the battery or a plug adapter
Did i miss the sunroof in action?
where is the powersource to turn on the starlights in the car
You throwing away your milwaukee packout system? 🤣🤣🤣
How does the sunroof not rip them out when it opens up?
Give it slack before glueing the fibers down and just make sure it doesn’t intersect with the rail

the Belltown Hellcat has this mod I think
And how does this sound on the motorway is it loud
Does it hurt the headliner if you just put the suede over the original material? I need to find out because I will be putting lights this week so needd to know if it’s ok to just put it over it.
Yes. Don't scrape the original of unless it's failed. You're eating your time and it's not easy
Do you have a link to the suede you used?
How do you wire it up?
Like to assume there’s a way to connect to battery or a plug in from a usb or something
How many did you put on the moon roof cover?
Im doing this rightnow
Can you take the cut off "slack" and make more stars?
The slack wouldn’t be long enough
What were the measurements of the fabric?
Not that it’s far off but I’d say you’re just over 200.00 in the system and materials after tax and all. Still better than 1000.00
So is it fabric or suede
How do we hard wire the starlights
I'm doing mine rn and my shit is not this clean 😅
How did u pull out the headliner in your car without taking out any of the windscreens???????? Coz this is not a hatchback
Fold both seats back, and fold it like a taco. Just enough to get it out
what’s the size of the fabric
Wait how did u do the sunroof
Should’ve done something for floor mats. There are too many headliner videos already. No one has lit up floor mats! That would be original!
🤮🤮
link for the kit please !
Someone pls lmk where you plug it into your car?
cigarette lighter
Couldn’t do this to an NA miata huh? 😢
link for the kit??
Who can u refee me to i wamt order that fory Mercedes stars in Celing
1:38 bro 450 is not 50% more then 300 unless I just heard it wrong but even the subtitles say 50%
50% of 300 is 150. To do 50% more, you need to add that 150 to 300. 300 + 150 = 450.
where are you located
were you located?
Tallahassee
Id juat pay someone to do this but who or what place could by me im in Minnesota also lol
Anyone know a good cheap suede
"Hey guys..." thought it was Chris Fix
tbh youre voice sounds like chris fix

Ilove ford fusion
187$ still not bad
Why is mine so much more flimsy than yours?
